  1. Well, that was a rough one.

We had 12 people show up, so instead of just running one team, we split off into two...

After we set up, one of the players on Team #2 DC'd (Did he get back in?)

Team 1 started up & things ran smoothly until we started on Reichsman...

A Six Member Team & not enough debuffs were our downfall - it was taking forever to get his health down...people were getting tired & deaths occurred...I know I was stunned when Turg started off our death fest (sorry Turg, I couldn't break the stun fast enough to get a heal on you).

We did manage to finally finish him off after a very, very, very long battle...

Failed Master of Dr Kahn TF: Stat Box

Customs had logged out sometime after the first death to get some much needed rest, but left his tank auto-taunting Reichsman...unfortunately, he went down while we were fighting one of the AVs (You are lying dead in Ourboros Customs).

Thanks for joining everyone - I know better now not to run this TF without a full team...Reichsman is just too annoying & tiresome.

    Hopefully Team #2 fared better.
  2. Just a reminder...

    This is scheduled for tonight!

We have a bunch of alternates signed-up. If everyone shows, we can try to form up a second team...if someone would like to volunteer to lead it...
  3. GameStop Key Dates: (from their website)

1983: James B. McCurry and Gary M. Kusin found Babbage's, Inc., opening the first Babbage's software store in a Dallas regional mall.

1984: B. Dalton Bookseller Inc. creates a division called Software Etc. to open software stores within B. Dalton bookstores.

1986: Dayton Hudson Corporation sells B. Dalton to Barnes & Noble, Inc. (B&N) and partners.

1987: Software Etc. is split off from B. Dalton, begins operating as Software Etc. Stores, Inc., and starts shift to standalone locations.

1988: Babbage's is taken public to accelerate an expansion drive.

1992: Software Etc. Stores is taken public.

1994: Babbage's merges with Software Etc., forming NeoStar Retail Group, Inc.

1996: NeoStar files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection; an investor group led by Leonard Riggio buys the Babbage's and Software Etc. chains, operating them within the newly formed Babbage's Etc. LLC.

1999: New strip-mall-based chain, GameStop, is launched; e-commerce web site, later called gamestop.com, begins operations; Babbage's Etc. is sold to Barnes & Noble for $215 million.

2000: B&N acquires Funco, Inc., operator of 400 FuncoLand video game stores, mainly in strip malls; Babbage's Etc. becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Funco, which changes its name to GameStop, Inc.

2001: GameStop Corp. is incorporated in anticipation of an initial public offering (IPO).

2002: B&N completes a partial IPO of GameStop stock; it retains a 67 percent stake in GameStop.

2004: B&N distributes its remaining stake in GameStop to B&N shareholders, making GameStop a fully independent corporation.

This reminds me of a trivia question:

What was the original name of the company that became GameStop?
  5. Nice run - lots of fun!

Too bad about the lack of Babbages...
  6. Good luck Gear!

With a little luck, we'll be seeing you back in game in a few weeks.
  7. We had a few flurries this morning - just put a dusting on the car, but it really has that "snow" feeling to the air today.

It is all a matter of timing with the ambushes.

If we choose to Ouro out - we could leave the stalker behind to do a wipe before exiting.

Or we can wipe & move out of the big room to take on the ambushes in a confined area.

But corruptors are nice as well...

So...bring whoever you would like - I am OK with anyone you choose.

    Strike Force Stats & Info:
    • This Strike Force requires a 4-person team to start & I will set it to No Temp Powers (which includes Veteran Reward Powers) & 0 Defeats
    • 9 missions (4 talks)
    • Badge(s): Arbiter & Master of the 5th Column Strike Force for No Deaths/No Temp Powers (no guarantees :smirk: )
    • Merit Reward: 30
    • Please note, this SF ends after the final Recluse Talk (not after the Reichsman mission)
    • I will switch off to Mr E-Lectric if we require a brute for the run
    Mr E-Man’s MoBSF Mission Notes:
    • General Instructions: Stick together, listen to instructions & do not be afraid to offer your opinion on strategy!
    • Mission One: Clear the ambushes in the end room (before going out to Ms Liberty).
    • Mission Two: Pull Numina out of the room to be cautious.
    • Mission Three: Talk
    • Mission Four: Use the Ouro portals or the Flyer to exit after Invincible Reichsman spawns - the mission will time-out without anyone in
    • Mission Five: Stick together & clear until the key drops - doing so around the dig area is best since the door is there.
    • Mission Six: Talk
    • Mission Seven: Talk
    • Mission Eight - Part One: While this mission is not so much hard, there are a lot of chances for deaths to occur. First clear out all of the 5th Column & take care of any ambushes that occur when one of the AVs is rescued. Sac the AV, find the next AV, take out the ambush, etc.
    • Mission Eight - Part Two: Grab your temp powers & don't be afraid to use them - you can recharge them (all except the Fail Safe Guns -4 uses- which only Stalkers can use). Stalkers gain Max Stealth to enter the two gun rooms to nuke the ambushes, Corruptors/Dominators have attack/holds for the ambushes, Brutes/Veats gain a team End Drain resistance power, MMs can keep Reichsman from phasing.
    • Mission Eight - Part Three: Depending on the team make-up, we may exit to Ouroboros when the ambushes spawn. Also, it has been determined that Reichsman will not leave the end room, so exiting into the tunnels may be a viable move to take out the ambushes in a confined area.
    • Mission Nine: Talk (Remember the SF completes after this talk, not after Reichsman is defeated)
    • Obviously this is still a work in progress.

Will see you on Wednesday for the Master of Dr. Kahn badge.

I would have asked Turg, but he didn't show up last night either...
  11. So the Master of Barracuda was a no-go last night - we had a few no-shows...

So we swiched to a Master of the Imperious Task Force instead - figuring we could grab a few people to swell our ranks...which we did.

    It was a success!

I froze up with 25 cims left to kill, but when I logged back in, I had gotten the badge. yay!

Thanks for joining everyone & for switching over to the ITF.

I will attempt to run another Master of Barricuda SF next Saturday night. Look for the sign-up post tomorrow.
  12. I am logging in right now - I've been out all day & never posted a reminder...

    This is tonight! :smirk:

Same - It was really difficult for me to get set up - if I wasn't dying, the bots were before I could finish building them...

The TF itself is not super hard at all. It's all about strategy and common sense.. not about min/max'ing.. especially considering we usually run with the "Master of" challenges and wouldn't even have access to Shivans or extra nukes of any kind anyway. And with no deaths.. there is no "vengbait" either.

We don't require any specific toons... just players that can listen to and follow direction, and have a good time with. I'm not saying we've never failed completely, but that's usually when something extra-ordinary happens and we are severely lacking something on the team (like team members that fall asleep, haha).

And yes, I agree with the OP.. the -1 settings on "master of" groups was very cheap. I wish they didn't even count.
Here's how our team felt after an amazingly easy MoSTF:

I want to point out that my character in that pic IG-2112MD (first one on the left) already had the Master of... badge before we did that run. :smirk:
  15. Did I sign up everyone that told me they wanted to go again from last night?

    Mr E-Man’s MoDrKTF Mission Notes:
    • General Instructions: Stick together & follow instructions. Always let the Tank grab aggro first – even before debuffs. This is a work in progress.
    • Mission One: After we port to the 5th Column base, the AV is in the next room, so beware if you go exploring.
    • Mission Two: We will most likely take out the portals using ranged attacks & not worry about the 5th Column, but we will determine that based on team make-up. As soon as Invincible Reichsman spawns, please exit the mission (either via Ouroboros or the red exit spot). The mission will time-out without anyone in it.
    • Mission Three: Glowie hunt & end boss.
    • Mission Four: Talk to Tina
    • Mission Five: Glowie hunt. Each glowie spawns an ambush, so be prepared
    • Mission Six: If we have a Stealth/TPer, we will just go to the end room, if not we will clear to it. Tank/Scrappers only in melee with Reichsman. The rest of the team should form up together to share heals/buffs. As each AV awakens let the tank grab aggro before attacking.

I should have just tp'd you out.
  18. Well, not the best of attempts last night...

Attempt #1: I died in the first mission...

Attempt #2: Myrdinn died from an ambush in the portal click mission

Attempt #3: Tux started off our dying spree while fighting Reichsman...I was stunned at the time...we wound up with 10 deaths...

I neglected to upload the stat box screenshot last night - I will do so later today & add it to this post.

Thanks for joining everyone - sorry it was a bust...

I am going to run this again next Wednesday - I'll post the sign-up later today.

You know, I just now saw this little jab..however, I was already lvl 15 by the end of the TF...which would have been high enough to join Synapse...

I did level to 16 after we finished up though. (only needed a couple of bars) :smirk:

  21. I will be there - of course - I leveled up to 16 after Posi on Monday.
  22. Reminder - This is tonight!

I updated the roster & based on the sign-ups decided to take IG-2112MD, my emp/rad defender - hopefully I will not suck as much as I did last time...(in keeping people alive)
