  1. If they were to add anything at all to Bricks it should be the interior of the Zig. I can't tell you how disappointed I was the first time I found out that there wasn't a single mission that took you inside the prison. I had expectations of prison riots and hostage situations completely squashed.
  2. Team Vanguard on Victory has been around since launch. Not as active as it had been, but a few of us still stop in to dust the halls.

Wow... irony. Maybe, just maybe mind you, the problem this time isn't everyone else.

(And by the way, as per your other rant, I never update my LFT flag. In fact I hide from searches, and when I do update it I put "SG Only" in the flag. Why? To avoid Pugs with people who think I owe them my play time and get all bent out of shape when I refuse to do things their way. You know the kind... people like you.)
  5. Dang... my keybind isn't working on this post. I tap the numpad 7 key and... nothing.

Considering that we will in fact be playing Praetorians in a few months time, adding in tech to have us fight Praetorian versions of ourselves doesn't seem feasible.
What the heck is the Praetorian version of a Praetorian?
  9. Wow... I can not believe this thread has gone on for 13 pages. I read the same announcement everyone else did, yet never felt any disappointment in the deal at all.
Bottom line... wait until July if you want the "free" month of play. End of story.
Pre-purchase and item pack and you will be at the same step as everyone else who digitally buys the collector's set. Not a big deal. It really isn't.
My account will remain active before, during, and after this all blows through. I will pay my monthly fee happily knowing it's money well spent. I will pre-purchase GR knowing I haven't wasted a dime. And when that item pack hits, it's mine too.
I just do not understand where you people are coming from on this. It's just a month of play... that's it. Most of you would be spending that anyway. How any of you came up with being ripped off or it being Vibrosa (or whatever they called it) Bay is ridiculous.
    Get a grip, people.

Although I'd love the MA set as you've described it, I gotta say this has merit too. It may be a little more brawling than Martial Arts is but I could work with it.

Issue 17 will also introduce a "new and nefarious foe" that will be able to match players "blow for blow." Given the Issue's title, I'm guessing it will be your doppelganger, but for now Paragon Studios isn't saying anything more than that.
Oh man, I hate to get my hopes up but this combined with the issues title really does bring the whole nemesis system idea to mind.

The Going Rogue "Complete Edition" has also been announced, featuring both City of Heroes & City of Villains, 30 days of game time, and the "Complete Collection Item Pack," which contains Alpha and Omega costume sets and auras, four stance emotes, and The Shadowy Presence invisibility power.
Okay, this is cool.. especially when you notice the phrase "four STANCE emotes"!! Man, there is so much win contained in this one article alone.

Get rid of the stupid NPCs that run around inside missions! They just get in the way, and piss me off. If they worked like rescued NPCs on the streets, and ran to the nearest exit, I'd be happy. But nooooo. They run around like heads with their chickens cut off, getting in the way, and making you wish you could kill them!
I counter this... I love them. I wish I could put them in AE arcs. I wish we had a "/e chickenrun" for sprint.

Actually it could be exploited by a level one toon... they just needed a level 46 plus friend to invite them to a team.... and a Piller of Ice and fire in an SG base the low level could enter.

I thought it rather odd this was a possiblity which I why I posted this the first day the new cape mission was available.

I'm glad the Dev's took swift action to preserve their concept of earning a cape at level 20.
Here's the thing though, out of all the Oz missions in the 45-50 range it was the only one that even allowed a lowbie to sk into it. The rest of the missions won't let you start at all. I honestly thought it was working as intended.
Is it that far a stretch to think, after the capsule has been opened, that a mentor couldn't teach his apprentice the reason that capes were special?
Meh, would have been nice to keep it, but lvl 20 isn't so hard to reach these days anyway.

On my Egyptian defender her dark colors have been made tan and golds... and represent ancient mystic sands. And it does a great job of it too. Once you hard code yourself into literal translations of everything you really limit your experiences.
Have you never played Calvin Ball?

What I'm going for is a set of zones where the game mechanics (powers, defenses, bufss/debuffs, team and individual dynamics, etc.) work differently somehow from what we've had all these years. Something to give players the feeling that they are in a different game when they cross that threshold.
Been to Recluse's Victory, Warzone or Bloody Bay lately?

Seriously though, said it before... saying it again. We need Dinosaur Island. Accessed through the Midnighter's Club, a massive jurassic nightmare with roaming packs of Velociraptors and a GM T-rex. After all, the 5th Column would be there, fortifying their base of operations with Armored and weaponized Triceratops and Pterodactyls, so we have to go back in time to stop them right?
  20. Any possibility of Brawl being added to the power customization so that we can specifically choose a set animation to use for it? A few of my characters would be set to that great kick animation full time instead of randomly switching if it could.

    The Big Zig

One of my biggest disappointments when I first started this game was leveling up high enough to get to Bricks, seeing this awesome prison just sitting there, and discovering that absolutely NO missions took place inside it.
I really did have visions of the prison riot from Watchmen run through my head the first time I saw it.

i wonder how this will affect current costumes...

but yay for new colors anyway
If you looking at the power color charts, I believe that different powers have different palettes than the costume sets all together. So there shouldn't be any problems with the costumes themselves. Some powers have been said to have both a bright and a dark palette that you can choose from.

I also like levelling up mid-mission and suddenly seeing the rest of it become easier.
You're in luck here, according to Positron it still works that way...

So if you get a mission at level 25, and you level up before or during the run, the mission will remain at level 25 as long as it's your mission. Same as always.

I am more than willing to give up the "sweet spot" of the old system for the convienence of the new one. Great change, imo.
