    Popular Badge

    Congratulations Globey! ,

70% there myself, so a little way to go for me yet.
Heres to you (assuming Blazo is one of your first toons) to him getting the top Influence badge 'leader' at around Issue 22 .

Once again, mucho gratz you $filthy$ earner you.
  2. I have to admit that is good, alternatively Psi's Telekinesis enables you to pin a whole mob incapacitated into a corner where they are just 'fish in a barrel' to shoot at or kick the cr*p out of.
You don't need unkillable regen in that instance when they can't even land a single blow.

Both have their pros and cons I imagine.

If you're a mainly or "Pure" support defender, then the usual cookie-cutter choice is Force Mastery for Power Build Up. As an empath, it'd roughly double your healing numbers and the +def/tohit granted by Fortitude.

    [/ QUOTE ]

For a very limited time though!, I've had power-boost on test for some time now as part of an old experimental respec and was extremely disappointed with the difference powerboost made to my build.

Psionic has TK which can be useful against a pack of minions in PvE if you can keep your endurance up (it's more widely used as an annoyance power in PvP really).

    [/ QUOTE ]

I disagree, Telekinesis is one of the most powerful and useful powers in the game providing you have the juice to keep it running, definately take stamina to power it and you won't regret it. With it's 100% hit-rate Its a main-stay and key part of my Offensive and Defensive strategy in Recluses Victory, with it I can push an enemy clean across half the map or pin them in place for over a minute with the epic in question.
Tk is most definately your friend.

I wouldn't really rate the sleep as highly in teams though since any AoE will wake them up,

    [/ QUOTE ]

...but if your team understands that and works around the strategies Psi epics like Mass Hypnosis offers it can give you (as one team-member commented the other night) "a massive advantage" - if you run into a crowd to take out the key antagonists and the others are fast asleep and cannot aid them.

(Don't worry, I only 'Bite' in Recluses Victory, and even then its more of a compassionate nibble .)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Which reminds me, where on earth have you been, haven't seen you choking around RV in a long while...?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sorry about that dear, I have been busy Illustrating an Imp. , I will clock on for duty tonight though.
  9. I think a badge for defeating him in the future would entice people back for one raid, If there was an accolade linked to say 10 times.... then I can see the hardcore badgers having a crack at it, If you're talking about a progress bar for something that is soooo hard currently I really don't think people will bother - just like most people realistically are not going to attain the 'Leader' or 'Empath' badges.
I think you really need to play to the two things that most people are interested in when on a raid - usually: a):making your character more powerful than the nextguy or b): getting or selling the Hami reward to get obsene amounts of Influence to buy forementioned power or whatever else they need for their build/alts.

If you want a great enjoyable experience I'm afraid you've missed the boat, that was pre I:9, now of course its still an experience only now more akin to sticking your finger in an electrical socket for a laugh.
  10. Tsu's pretty much nailed it.

The Issue 9 Hamidon revision was well intended, but it has backfired quite catastrophically in terms of the amount of raids ongoing, which is odd considering it was apparently improved under player comments/concerns about exploitation.

The raids were admittably waaaay too easy - now they are ridicuously hard,

The raids used to be a big looked forward to community event - (even if we did have to put up with the lag), it was great to have tons of players in one place, now people comment in-game they miss the get-together that was a Hami-Raid.

The Rewards are not equal to the amount of debt acculmilated and I think before it took a little under two hours to beat him to a pulp, now you can pretty much kiss goodbye to your entire night as you'll spend it grinding away in the Hive.

Realistically, I think it has to be made easier if its to be used more, or alternatively, considering the effort put in: enable level 53 Hami's for level 50's taking place in the raid. Lets face it if they went on auction the prices would be beyond astronomical and I really can't think of much less than that enticing a Lv5O back into the Hive if it was the reward they were after.

Pity really, I used to love the spirit of those raids.

Anyone know if Stateside the raid is as popular anymore?, and also (importantly) whether Cryptic have had any feedback on it and noticed if players are not bothering anymore?.
  11. <falls off chair laughing>

    Why thankyou!.

.... oh and its never 'I' before 'E' (except after tea) little one.
  12. - Slanderous!

Welcome to Union Kinetik, I have added Voltronic, Denarius, Shattering Cry to my Hero directory I carry with me at all times and will keep a watchful eye over what I'm sure will be only the first of many great adventures here in our fair city.
  13. Thankyou Franky, more are incoming soon, funny you should mention that because there is a 'Tri-Form FTW' design in the works too .
  14. 'Art of War' Series: Mugs design 1.

The 'Art of War' series is a range of Warshade designs on different merchandise incorporating wisdom from Sun Tzu the famous Chinese General and Strategist.

"The Art of War is one of the oldest books on military strategy in the world and a Chinese military treatise written during the 6th century BC, it has long been praised as the definitive work on military strategies and tactics of its time".

...Now with 10% extra Warshade lovelyness.
  15. Congratulations StreetHunter on your magnificent achievement!, you'll always have a special place in your heart for your first Level fifty!. Just IO sets to tackle next then with him?

  16. Well... I think the exasperation with the cost of completing some sets is in direct contrast to the 'pick up 'n' play-ability' inherant in CoX.
Cryo is right though in her appraisal that if you want the best you have to put in the time, I think the frustration is felt by those of us who cannot devote as much time as others to being on duty and therefore building IO sets and general saving of Influence takes a very long time.
Mother completed her 2nd and final LOTG set last night up to the bonus she was after.... so already I am sitting pretty, feeling the benefits and seeing the Rosy-side of the argument, but I will not forget in a hurry how much time that took to complete.
  17. I sympathise.
I am just on the edge of buying a 'Luck of the Gambler'Recharge+7.5% increase and it looks like the prices are holding steady at the 40-50 million mark. .

What it needs is for the powers that be to (not flood) but gently encourage competitive prices by introducing a flurry of recipes and enhancements at lower prices, once this forces the sellers to lower their prices the cost should level out just as happened with the exclusive cossie options. Like anything exclusivity breeds silly prices - I remember paying 10 million for Rocket-Boots at Issue Ten release!... not anymore!, the cost is way down along with the prices for Dragon Wings and other much sought after costume pieces.
Of course... when everybody else has what you have though it loses its star appeal somewhat! and people will happily pay over the odds to be special for a couple of months whether it be in costume items or set bonuses.

    Human nature.
  18. Now thats what i call dedication!, very well deserved.

...Personally I would suggest going over to the dark-side, feel free to contact me for teaming when you start as I myself am only really just getting going over there myself.

    Once again, Congratulations FrIce.
  19. Oh well nevermind, whats important is everyone had fun.
I have FS4 to look forward to catching then.
