Perhaps a christmas pack?
[/ QUOTE ]
And who wouldn't like to treat themselves (or be treated) to a micro-transaction christmas pressie for their favourite MMO.
[Mumbles]: ..just better be better value and more interesting than the wedding pack thats all -
I think its some sort of miscommunication by either party, there was also a sentance in another article that roused interest with regard to NPCs being controlled, whether that meant text input or animation/placement input or AI behaviour I can't work out.
I couldn't imagine a sudden reversal of the current update model without quite a bit of discontent.
I13 is supposed to be big, really big, If it is and (importantly) the Issue is sheer quality, to be honest I don't care If there isn't another one till New Year. I think if the Issue adds as much as its rumoured too and there are bugs in it, It could potentially take quite a while to patch up.
Superbase Redux, A Mission Creator system and further power-proliferation sounds great. -

...in a way

Missed that bit off the end MaX, I was trying to describe that if you were coming from the future and technological superiority - that the modern marvels of today would be seen as primitive and rather laughable. -
begins to feel like the official birthday party town crier...
Happy Birthday Sorudo!
Many Happy Returns. -
As PRAF68 has mentioned; It was brought up by BAB, and before that Bo-Staff was also in the Power-polls survey.
I would love Bo-Staff to be implemented, I think I still have 'Munkeh' saved somewhere on a character slot in preparation, I've already tested his prestigue power-slide pink fluffy cloud.
But Cattle with pole-arms?, That'll need some major mootion-capture work to be done. -
All this talk of a betrayal option was brought up before, I think in response to a climatic fictional Well of the Furies TF and the 'Going Rogue' system hinted by Cryptic at the time.
Personally I would love something like this, something that the Villain team could conspire talk about in teamchat and the Heroes the same, different stages of possible betrayal for different strategic results or rewards.
Betrayal is a major re-occuring theme in Comic Culture and a feature like this in an Issue update would really float my boat. -

"any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"
[/ QUOTE ]
Great quote there from the late great Arthur C Clarke, The reverse is also true in a way, we think we are sufficiently advanced technologically but we are not even self sufficient, we are but a relatively short time away from another Dark Ages if we do not find replacement technology.
Anyway, I laugh everytime I see these mortals strutting around the planet, their entire powerbase and transport system powered by dead plants and decaying organic matter.
Just thought I'd put my cheery thought 'up there on the board' for today. Carry on.

If Nemesis went back to the Middle Ages, he'd be like a wizard-knight or an alchemist-knight to the people of that time - but for us, he'd still be the AV we've been fighing in the present.
[/ QUOTE ]
Are you talking about some kind of Gotham by Gaslight/ElseWorlds or Marvel 1880s Universe? that would be rather charming, seeing a steam-powered Positron or Sister Psyche as a Gypsy fortune teller - something like that. -

Dagnammit Valkryst you stole my I4 pun!
[/ QUOTE ]
Speaking of time-travel I just went forward a couple of years and found that all of GG's dreams come true in I17 - truly "there's no place like comb"
[/ QUOTE ]
Hehe((very well done))
Thats nothing; In Issue 18 CoX gets an 'M' for Mature rating when a variety of saucy emotes and the latest Issue hits: Issue 18: No place like Womb
Oh and Golden Girl...

Post-ED, there's no place like moan
[/ QUOTE ]
I think you'll find that 'no place like moan' is Issue:6 as both ED and PvP were introduced -
That sounds remarkably temporal - like we are the genesis of our own surprises.

I thought Issue 12 taught us there was no place like Rome?
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually Golden Girl, If you recall your history you'd remember It goes way back to Issue 2 when the Circle of Thorns taught us that in fact; "Theres no place like Tome"
[/ QUOTE ]
Now you're really stretching it - don't even try and suggest that Issue 4 taught us "there's no place like the Dome"

Dagnammit Valkryst you stole my I4 pun!
time-travels back and retcons original pun to fit with next Issue
Issue 5forest of dread) - No place like Gnome.

...or the way little teasers are slid in here and there to influence theories. Plant control.

And don't forget, the costume creator has given us plenty of knights and witches and Egyptian priests and priestesses running around in a modern city - they must have gotten here somehow - it'd be nice forn them to visit home again
[/ QUOTE ]
Awww, fantasy creatures getting homesick? - theres no place like Gnome.

No, with the Sith there can be only two, theres more Moderators than that!.
-
pictures the Moderators linked hands dancing around the office like mischievous pixies chanting;
"Dance Forumites! - Speculate wildly and Dance for our amusement! - you become more our slaves with every teaser" -

Its more to do with the Issue of Gambling addiction, the Gambling awareness board would have a field-day if they found out kids were gambling - even if it was only with virtual Inf.
For arguments sake the only thing such a system could possibly involve is 'Rep'.
A Fight Victor gets quadruple rep off a fight - bet-winning spectators get double and the negative values for the Vanquished and losing punters.... would that work? -

hmmm, i detect the smell of Awesome sauce...

No sorry thats just me, I've had a little accident at the prospect of such a feature fully realised in Issue 13. -
Thats a great Euphoria trailer! (2nd one down), awww - poor little blue man!.
Re: The discussion about engines; Correct me if I'm wrong but If NorCal weren't intending to be using the CoX II engine in future titles, (the one I presume that Champions-Online uses)... then that would not of been made part of the shared resources deal the studios made when they seperated.
Because it was!, wasn't it?. -
Also, whatever system that would theoretically support betting on the outcome of a PvP fight would not get rid of the fact that some people would fix or swing fights to swindle large amounts of Influence in return for a back-handed secret payment.
What? - If it happens in RL it sure is going to happen in an MMO if the system allows it!. -
Not exactly a particulary informative read, but as mentioned Its coverage nonetheless.
I won't be going in for the 'Win a Dolphin' competition, I look down on competitions that are devoid of porpoise. -
Willpower Tanker with Fire Mastery and SS/SJ?
-
I think next DXP weekend we'll have to start a thread entitled "Just how badly did you out-level contacts?"
The worst example I saw over the weekend was approximately 12 levels according to their mission list. -
Happy Birthday to one of Paragon's finest Illusion Controllers, have a great day!.

If any alterations are made to the meshes of characters then I presume it would throw everything out of kilter with regards to fitting properly and clipping issues etc.
I'd love the character meshes and faces to be improved, even if its only to the standard of Mirror Spirit (Faultline trainer).
Unlikely though I imagine.
