I quite enjoyed the Top Cow Graphic novel Vol:1 - with the Cyrus Thompson story and Sister Psyche's split personality as well as the all-round Greek Mythology epicness of the story, (I still think we should have the mystical entrance to a high level magic and mythology zone accessed via the Atlas Statue's left heel just like in the graphic novel).

Welcome to Paragon City BaBy / Back Ally Bawler.
Considering his heritage,... only a matter of time before he signs up for duty.
((The U.S posts about paternity tests regarding his skin colour are/were quite funny, hehe.))

That doesn't make sense.

I believe what Heroishere is trying to express is that all the Veteran Awards should be redone/re-jigged.
A lot of people feel the same.
So suggest something -

There are also a few chest detail Icons in the cossie creator menu that I swear were not there before!
[/ QUOTE ]
I couldn't see any chest details beyond the ones that where added in issue 12.
[/ QUOTE ]
Its very possible that I just have not noticed them before if they are the I12 ones, but the ones that surprised me were:
Trash / Symbol 7-9 / Swirl 3 / Star 9-14 / Question mark / Power-On / Nuke / Lion 2 / Mantis / Health / Cyber Eye / Bulls Eye 2. -

Just popped online to have a look and I've seen Ads in Atlas, Steel Canyon and P.I on a (no pun intended) flying visit.
To be honest a little underwhelmed so far, I hope we NCsoft get the opportunity to showcase more variety of ads for a more realistic metropolitan feel, I say realistic because I feel they need a frame round them when stuck on a flat wall.

[Edit]: I agree, The high res does jar slightly with the ageing enviromental graphics/in-game art style as Blind Minotaur notes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Also the Atlas train station has Vin Diesel on 2 sides of its foundations and a 3rd not 100 yards away - seems a little gratuitious when commercial centres like Steel Canyon mainstreet are bare.
Steel is under-used as a Metropolis and needs more hordings and billboards up along its mainstreet. The one in central P.I is nicely placed though.
Of course advertisers are going to want their Ad to be in a prime placement re: the traffic of toons through the zones but I imagine if players see the same ad everywhere it could start to grate a little, thank goodness they are optional.
NCsoft really need to hold a competition Stateside and Eu.side to get player-created artwork submissions in there for billboards, signs and banners to give a little variety. -
Ditto!, fantastic idea!.
-
Very nice build Knight Stalker!
Although I personally would of waited till after X4:Evolution - as handing your foes detailed blueprints of your build is the surest way to someone being able to adapt theirs to beat you!
You've certainly thrown down the Gauntlet though!
Good Luck!. -
On each occasion I have sat through (at my local cinema) Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and The Dark Knight and the cinema has been packed with similar superhero fans - And what were we staring at whilst waiting for the trailers to come on? - whats that I hear you cry?, An slideshow photo advert for City of Heroes/Villains?......
No!.- It was an advert for my local curry house and several for other local businesses like kitchen refitters and other small private businesses.
NCsoft are still not even targeting audiences correctly in my opinion.
I'll be going to see HellBoy II:The Golden Army in seven days time where I will grind my teeth at the sight of several hundred superhero fans watching curry house adverts and picking up little fliers in the foyer for nightclubs and drinks promotions when they could alternatively be watching a City of Heroes Ad and picking up a free trial disc in the foyer after watching yet another SuperHero genre film this summer. -
Hello Fahie.
I would say absolutely and without exception - Nothing would make me pay more to subscribe to City of Heroes/Villains.
Its good value, especially as you now have access to both games but there is little room for manoevering regarding fixing a price structure among even the latest and shiniest MMOs yet alone a four year old one.
As has been mentioned before, you have every right to expect the much sought after wish-list features to be covered under your current subscription, don't think you have to pay more to get more especially with competition on the horizon. -
The Introduction could just be like the Rikti Invasion with Zepplins landing and unloading lots of troops, afterwards... yes I suppose Hess (a popular TF) or maybe something entirely new good be used to trigger an Invasion.
-
As long as batallions have some moronic goose-steeping march animation as they enter civilian zones en masse - I thoroughly approve.

I also came across this report whilst browsing Edge

But still, hopefully they'll either offer it at other conventions that don't require travelling to mainland Europe.

That would be a nice gesture. Personally I'm not really interested in it if it is not customisable, and thats only going to happen if it is included in the costume creator options.
Still, Congratulations to those who attended. -
Ahhh!, so its not a customisable unlockable - rather a re-hash of the temporary costume powers we got Last Halloween event '07.
...suddenly, not so desirable. -
MaX has utterly summed up my feelings to this news.

The Developers and publishers of City of Heroes/Villains love their fans and do everything possible to keep them content, as they continuously create free expansion packs in the form of Issues, akin to a comic book, to keep their loyal fan base happy and anticipating more.

You know what this means, don't you, GhostRaptor?
You're going to have to tell us some stuff about I13, otherwise, you're effectively calling the author of that article a lair
[/ QUOTE ]
And GhostRaptor may find his reputation abased?

As a form of "research" for this article, I happily subjected myself to the latest superhero movies gracing the theaters. Iron Man, the Hulk, Hancock, Hell Boy 2 and the Dark Knight.

Galactus Hamster.
No. Really.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it needs a suitable powerful name: H.A.M.S.T.O.R.Z preferably written forged in cast Iron with rivets in it.
Seriously though, there is no Hamster... and I think I've worked it out.
Remember the NCsoft costume Auditions Video Ep:6 with Kerensky bringing in the GhostWidow costume?.... well, I think theres a furry Hamster costume and Its easy to work out whos to blame for the lag.
You just look at the bottom of the forum page to the Extra Information panel - Its shows you which Moderators are currently on, all you've got to do is notice who's missing and they'll be the one currently suited up putting in some serious 'Wheel time', of course not all of the Moderators are of equal fitness, when a lesser mortal is suited up and pounding the wheel - Thats when we have the lag!. -

Of course, have you learned nothing from the forums?

Well, if you're going to get angry about something, wouldn't making it clear what you were angry about make it more likely that someone might help you?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not really... because some Forumites aren't looking for anything logical, like that. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some Forumites just want to watch the thread burn.
