  1. But I know Bathory would go for usable floor or wall-mounted coffins as an SG base item, you know the animations.. where the coffin model in question in the Vampyri base spawns them via a creaking coffin lid.

    Lovecraftian = interesting looking, in this context. Not direct compies of creatures from the mythos, which would give them IP issues.

    Most of his stuff is out of copyright now

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Actually I believe there is talk of creative copyright (in some instances) being stretched to 150-200 years over the traditional seventy, and If a studio owns it (unless they are neglegent or disinterested) Its not something they accidentally forget to renew tbh.
  3. I'd definately go for the Marvel film:'Blade' route of spontaneous combustion for Vampires when defeated, especially when using the wooden/silver stake temp-power.

    It would be a great improvement on the usual falling over animation, In fact... I'd stake my reputation on it.
  4. (Paragon's premier foot-based Martial Artist 'The Chiropodist' sinks to the floor head-in-hands in despair.)

    Martial Arts did need some variety to be honest, but I always thought we'd see punches in a street-fighting set before a MA alternative, I'm quite surprised, pleasantly so.

    I'm also hoping that the Devs don't cut corners by using any existing animations. I'm hoping Dual-Pistols has a little more flavour and character animations-wise with variety like CO's munitions set and powers like 'holdout pistol'.
    I'm hoping BaB has been watching films like 'Equilibrium' and 'The Matrix' for Inspiration.

    but tbh they can't put any really good stuff at this late a date on the VET Rewards as realisticly is anyone that starts saya year ago gonna be here for that long?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Then perhaps the really serious Veteran badges should concentrate on handy little features that would benefit subscribers who have played through the content many times over. I thought the 60 month one was a pretty good idea, not too over-powered - just handy.

    Any suggestions?

    I see on the American thread, BAB mentioned a "customizable Helllfire Whip" for Demon Summoning MMs - I thought whips where one of those impossible powers, like water?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Not Impossible, they just had to iron out the kinks.
    Oh, ...and I'd go for the title of 'Issue 13: Pimp my Imp'.

    Seriously though, 'Kaleidoscope' is pretty cool.
  7. Laughs at some of the Issue titles almost used;

    # Power Conductor.
    # Hell Freezes Over.
    # Taste The Rainbow.
    # Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
    # Going Rouge. (too confusing vs. Going Rogue)
    When Pigments Fly. (this was nearly the winner apparently!)

    THAT Is pretty darn impressive for pushing the customisation on the core of a five year-old game even further to meet the competition, although I'm a little confused about this part;

    Not only does the newly updated Character Creator allow players to jump directly between Archetype, Powersets, Costumes and Character ID in any order without losing progress...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    So I can respec my abandoned lv 28 Rad/Bubbler Defender to be Rad/Rad?, ie completely swap out the secondary powerset without losing progress?.
  9. Ok, The emotes 'drink formula' and 'super serum' are added as optional costume change emotes... however they are only useable through the costume change menu, So if you wanted to bind the emote to anything else you're going to be disappointed.

    The two emotes I liked the best; #getting the formula wrong and it exploding / getting it right and laughing evily - and #pondering equations and calculations with them materialising in the air around you, are however useable and are /em,experiment and /em,calculate
  10. Don't worry you are covered by all manner of consumer laws as well as NCsoft wanting to retain you as subscriber.
    I highly doubt it would 'go missing'. That said I'll be keeping an eye on my bank transactions for this period.

    The credit card route doesn't work for me... most odd, I get card 'refused' logged in on plaync.com and attempting to buy the EU.pack. I used Paypal on the 4th attempt and it said it was accepted, just off now to check it has applied ok.
  11. *'refused' - Is the store/pack down again?
  12. Something tells me that the farming maps crammed with pacifist Hami-Mitos will be long gone.

    Wuffles! We need to start our own ingame casino!

    We've got one!, Babylon in St.Martial - It just needs to be realised with a portal and some Co-Op mini-games for profit (like in Mass Effect), and that also don't contravene the EULA / Virtual Gambling concerns.

    Don't forget to;

    # Say: "AFK 2 Mins guys - Just taking a dip in the pool".(Especially good after team-wipes).

    # Post a photo of your luxurious play-setting.

    # Ask your team-member's opinion on what you should order next through room-service.

  19. While I agree with your first and second points whole-heartedly of course... Point 3 is pretty debateable to be honest when (In this case) The Mission Architect has spawned a generation almost completely oblivious to the finer points of good tactics and considerate teaming re: your colleague's powers.

    In their defence and the exasperation detailed in the OP, I'll agree it can be pretty annoying. The emphasis is not on doing the mission well, as part of a team and enjoying the Mission, Its on doing it fast and for maximum profit.

    Like I said, Paragon's seen better days.
  20. Thoroughly sympathises...

    To be honest I really notice the amount of new recruits we have that have absolutely no idea of aggro distance or how their (and other's complementary) powers work. Not Paragon's finest hour to be honest.

    Many happy Returns Dr.
  24. First off, you are not an Idiot for not knowing how best to deal with Post-I13 pvp, I stand with the crowd that rolls my eyes in despair at the current situation. The short of it is that pvp is so hopelessly genericised now that there are no rules. But Paragon studios are apparently happy with it... so it stays.

    Go in, have fun, If you are not having fun, leave.
    Ignore the ridiculous smacktalk and ego of players that think defeats mean anything post I-13, there is little skill to it nowadays.

    Because if you can have some perma powers like Hasten at level 50, another 10 levels of increases would be insane - you could end up with some way overpowered builds.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Everythings relative, you talking about a theoretical ten levels of new powers and slots or just an increase in enhancement strength?.
