    Damage output?

I would agree that defenders overall would be much more appreciated if they had a damage boost, but in all honesty defenders are meant to support the team first, and sometimes with the right sets that support can increase your damage for example... Kinetics obviously will have a nice amount of damage with fulcrum shift. Then you can move on to see that almost any debuffer can do some massive damage. That is just your primary and how it affects it and then you move to your secondary it really comes down to do you want AoE or single target damage, I know that I LOVE AoE damage, therefore my defenders are all /ice or /archery.One /Ice has the same blizzard that blasters have same numbers and all, check it out you'd be impressed when its slotted correctly. While for /Archery for RoA (Rain of Arrows) and blazing arrow for my single target runaways. I play my cold/archery and its nasty the damage I can output with sleet and RoA coming up at almost the exact same time. Sleet (25s) RoA (28s) my RoA is currently slotted with 5 positrons blasts but I know with Ragnarok's the damage could be over whelming. Just look into those two sets, paired with debuffs or without. If you want to branch out on secondaries pick a primary that has some decent -res/-def. Defenders over all are NOT damage dealers but if you want them to be they can be built to do so.
  2. ohh see I learn new things everyday

And I edited the post to be correct
  3. Well I guess its time I finally post something in response to all those amazing people who have posted before me.

    1) 4shes. There is no combination of words that could truly express our relationship, you know me better than anybody I know.... and I can honestly say that no matter how amazing everybody else in game may be, the game seems to slow down without you. Literally.... I ran a Sister Psyche without you months ago and it took me almost twice the time of what it would have taken if you were there... and poor Sinny was drug through the next trial without you... a Synapse that took 3:26:56 my lord.... anyways man thanks for everything, can't wait til your back.

    2) Angie/Moises: you two are the first couple I ever met in game, and therefore the first I'll speak of. Angie your like the mother of my best guy friend. The mother you can tell anything, without worry of your mom getting you into trouble because she just loves you that much. (The mom you would call if you needed a DD haha) and Moises... good ole Mo, haha I got to hear your voice for the first time a couple days ago on ventrilo after knowing you for months. Your name fits you well because though you and Angie are young, your that really smart dumbledore character that is wise beyond all understanding I must say you sure rock those non-set toons

    3) Miz Nibbles: your kinda like that older sister that is really awsome sometimes because I can hookup with your friends, or your really frustrating because you wont turn the radio down so I can hear my friends on ventrilo. All the same I feel comfortable to say that no matter what we go through, I know we will always be friends.

4)Sinny/Braije: You two.... oh goodness you two....ha-ha when I think of you two all I can do is smile you two really are so laid back I can't imagine anybody disliking you, but separately... Sinny I want to thank you for all the opportunities you gave me to help you, though it may seem backwards, helping you is the same as helping me. You know me well enough to know that I love to help people. Braije: I wanted to say your the coolest Coalition SG Leader I have. I merely help you guys get a couple IOs and .5 million prestige then next thing I know your using your mad recruitment skills to save my dead OtC group :P I just wanna thank you both for letting me be so close and tell lil B I say hello and you better take care of those little bunnies (MAH, 4sh, Nibz) haha

5)RdlV & Friends - (Cobalt, Amy, Horus, Kahlan, RAF, Cam, and who ever else I'm missing...)
Whatever you guys do, you never fail to amaze me... Kahlan and Horus Duo'd an STF... that alone proves their awesomeness, then to continue on with Cobalt's Master BMT skills, though some people may disagree, I believe you have helped the best Chat Channel on Champion prosper. RAF your awesome. You may be the craziest and most out going woman I know and I don't even get to hear you on vent . I can't wait for the day that I do. Amy your kin skills are nuts, so crazy they drove me to try to master your perfection and I'm sorry, I can't do it without a timer ha-ha I get distracted too easily. Cam I did not get to hang out with you very long but the week or so that we did you seemed like a pretty awesome guy, I'm glad I was able to help you get some levels on your stalker, and I cant wait to see you in action.
--PS:Horus I cant get over your forums avatar

    7) To all those other champions out there that I did not mention, do not think I forgot you I'm sure I will have my stories to tell about you next year, and I hope these stories up here keep getting better and better. Just to name those last few I'm thinking of that I don't have any special stories for, Gladiator(@Untouchables), Teh Artic(@Teh Artic), Hinden(@Hinden), Habachi (@Teh Habachi215), Cherry (@Cherry-2000), Black Tabby, Critical Kat, Jay (@Lil Jay911), Giga (@Gigan), Gary (@GFunny), Entwiined (@Entwiined).....and to all those out there I did not name, I hope you had a happy New Year! Any your just as awesome as any-other Hero , you Villains though... its questionable....
  4. When do you think you will have the website back up? I've been looking for them as well and I found this thread.
  5. I Generally run an ITF in 20-30 minutes and our team consists of all damage and at most two support toons, but the primary support toon is a kin, the thing most kins run into is they die while trying to keep up so if you can get a surviveable kin I could see you being one of the most important support toons on any TF. Mainly because the kin has pretty much everything you need, heals, end, damage, -damage for the enemies, -regen for the enemies, and -recovery for the enemies. All your mising is -def/-res which if your a defender you could take radiation or sonic blast and thats covered I'd say go with a Kin/Sonic Defender and build for s/l defense . Then just let the good times roll :P
  6. One of my favorite tankers is a Fire/SuperStrength, INSANE damage, and if you build for a bit of defense it becomes nearly unstoppable. Think about this, 3xrage + fiery embrace= damage cap, + Blazing Aura, Burn, Foot Stomp. Thats just instant win, and I threw in Fireball , lots of fun but be careful to watch out for a rage+hasten crash those can be deadly but with consume you dont have much to worry about .
  7. Don't forget the fantastic -regen component of transfusion
  8. Yeah with a shield you should be able to easily achieve both of those goals, however just for a future reference, no matter how much recharge you have... if your dead I doubt it will make much of a difference :P
  9. My SS/WP brute is only lv 28 at the moment, however I have a lv 50 spines/WP scrapper and WP/Fire Tanker hero side, my spines/wp can farm 53 bosses set for 8 so i know that a brute can do it, my tanker haha she never dies. I built both of them for Melee defense, and in hand that usually comes with s/l defense, my tanker has capped hit points, which like they said, helps ALOT. I dont know about 1000-1200% regen... I was only able to get my tanker up to 900 and I spent over a month on that build... just get about 80hps/second with high hit points 2500-2600. When it came to resistance I didnt focus on it AT ALL!, infact all of my resistance shields were slotted for defensive bonuses, also like they said Smashing, Lethal, Energy, and Negative Energy, s/l is easy to get if you build for melee defense: kinetic combats, touch of deaths, obliterations, and reactive armors. energy and negative energy: blessing of the zeypher, reactive armors, and eradications. enjoy your WP.

-Oh and dont forget the steadfast protection: +3% res/def a great little boost over the edge

you said you were willing to give up some blasting abilites for surviveability so i think this is your best option, capped s/l high ranged and melee and then capped hitpoints, GL & HF
  11. Fantastic job on this handbook, I've binded several quotes from this post onto my tank and empathy because they are major team players, and just from sending out quick messages to unexperienced players has changed a team from wiping twice in the first mob to successfully completeing an ITF in 27 minutes. (same team, same players, same day)
  12. Id go Will Power definently mine on champion has died a total of 3 times since she has been completely enhanced Twice on Hamidon, and once in a RWZ Mothership Raid, I slotted for soft capped defense (45%) and hit points I have capped HP on that toon which is nice when your based on defense. Then even those few attacks that do get through dont make a big difference when your Rise to the Challenge gives you regeneration. Id definently go Will Power. Your secondary.... I went fire just because im a pyro maniac haha, but if you like high damage and fast pace you will fall in love with super strength. I havent looked into this but I have also seen some Shield/SS tanks destroy mobs and they are defense based as well so Im sure they would be just as successful.
  13. I am up for joining this next upcoming event. I will most likely be on my illusion/emp/psi controller.

    *in need of a partner*
  14. I agree very much Supergroup re-names would be nice, concidering I inherited a supergroup after the leader left and I do not like the name...

I like MOSt of this idea, although I do have an idea I'd like to tag on. First off, I don't like the idea on making your signature power something you can make a temp power for another player. I understand the reasoning behind it...showing off all your hard work and all...but I'm just uncomfortable with the idea. I'm afraid someone will find an exploit and be able to pass it along to everyone. Besides, it's supposed to be YOUR signature power - your trademark. Why give that to anyone? Just my thought on the matter.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not really, you could just treat it like the patron powers villains get, I mean Robin uses a lot of stuff the Batman comes up with.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well the way I saw it was loaning an invention or device, sharing a secret training technique, imparting some magical power, etc. on another person.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well I would let people give out the power to one player only once, or I can only give my power to X once, but after his wears out I could give my power to XX. You could make the power last only a certain amount of time like an hour and after that time period. That player can never get that power from YOU again, but if that player wants to try sombody else's they might want to buy the invention from them. Even though it is an hour you might want to try sombody else's before you go make your own.

P.S. GREAT idea I hope the devs look into this.
  16. thankyou i just made this according to my sg leader he uses this exact build and we do runs in under 5 minuets so i thought that was good (not including load times ) but i agree with u about the leader ship powers but he says he uses defence for his imps and the accuracy is for all the missing he does and as i can see when he has that on he never misses but the second travel power super speed was useless i think i thought he should have just gotten hasten and left it there but he wanted SS too
