figured i would put up my build for critiquing... just wondering if i really need that much recharge, or can i rearrange some things for a tad more survivability, since domination doesn't affect static field and synaptic overload. and yes i know it will probably be an expensive build.

with the 2xp weekend just a couple days away, I have been wracking my brain trying to decide what character I wanted to play (hoping to get to 50, but not holding my breath.). Well the one I am considering right now is an elec/thorn, and I was wondering if anyone has played this combo before, or if anyone has an opinion on whether they are a good match. I picked the 2 for thematic reasons, just in case you were wondering. I plan on building for perma-dom obviously w/out hasten. And then picking the musculature Alpha for the end mod/def deBuff.

so I have a lvl 50 fire/rad. She is not specced, so I was wondering if any other fire/rads or rads in general, would like to run some lvl 50 TFs... i.e. Lady Grey and Statesman.
the reason I am asking for rads is because I have run some of the lower lvl TFs with a full team of fire/rads and they went real quick, and I would like to do as many TFs as possible. Also 8 AMs stacked will help with the fact that I am not specced.
I would like to do this on january 10th... After all the holiday stuff is over. I need at least 7 others. Any one can join. I would just prefer rads. Is there anyone interested?

I saw that someone was 'flipping' items for profit. When I get stuff that I can't use I put it on the market for 5 inf. No matter what it is. I even did this with a purple IO recipe. What would happen to the market/economy in the game if we all sold the stuff we didn't need @ 5inf.?

I can't load mid's onto my computer(plus i'm @ work using phone to post right now, lol), so basically on my necro/dark, which I am more interested in speccing, has all seconday powers except black hole, for primary I didn't take dark blast or gloom, soul mastery with shield, immob., soul storm, and opressive gloom, assault, tactics, I think that's it. If you still think I should repost in the MM forum, I will. -
ok, so first i'll start out by saying "I am an altoholic". I have many characters in their 20's, even more in their teens, I only have 2 50's that I haven't played in... I don't know how long. At least til just a couple days ago. It was brutal. I have a fire/rad she faceplanted on an even lvl mob, and a necro/dark who did fair enough against ghost widow before he too faceplanted. Neither are io-specced and some of their powers don't have enhancements @ all. I have no idea how I did this.
I mostly solo, so my qestion is this... What is the best way to get my characters specced out in an IO build (expensive or not)? -

No, perma IW is NOT needed . . . but an occasional mez will probably slip in every now and then. I use IW on both of my level 50 Fire/Rads, and yeah, every now and then I will get mezzed during the down time. It is rarely a big deal, since I usually have a Break Free handy, or teammates take the aggro, or my Imps take the aggro, or every now and then, I may faceplant. No biggie. I'm not willing to make the sacrifices to the rest of my build that would be needed to get perma IW.
Not every character has to be max slotted for Recharge, Defense, Resistance and Body Odor Prevention. Moderately built characters are still fun and a bit more of a challenge. -
OMG!!! *jaw drop* ok, well in anyone's opinion is perma-IW really needed if I control the enemy mob well enough?

like the topic says. i have an elec/kin troller, want some mez protection... normally i would do this myself, but i no longer have mids. my new computer won't load it for some reason. i would prefer without hasten, but if it's not possible, so be it.

I doubt you will find a newer Illusion/Sonic guide . . . Sonic in general and Ill/Sonic in particular is not very popular. I have taken Ill/Rad, Ill/Storm and Ill/TA all to 50, and I'm still working on Ill/Kin. I would go with Ill/Cold and Ill/Therm before Ill/Sonic

I just started an energy melee/ fiery aura brute, i chose the 2 sets for thematic reasons...
I'm mostly a soloer, and a non-pvper.
First I am curious if anyone has tried the combo. I am looking for an early level sample build.
I want to try to take tough, but not sure how soon, plus I want to able to take health and stamina at the appropriate levels.
I try to cycle through brawl as a rage builder, so i can take less attacks.
I have barrage, energy punch, fire shield and blazing aura (only lvl 5)... I'll probably get healing flames at 6 then my AoE at 8, but if someone has some pointers it would be appreciated.
I am used to masterminds, and it seems this toon might be a bit tricky. -

basically what title says. friend is making SS/WP brute, and i was wondering if anyone knew a good combo. Well, really just wondering if there are any bad combos to stay away from.
Edit: oh and we will probably just sticking to ourselves, pve, the occasional sf, ect. -

Yes Typed Defense builds are viable. It used to be a lot harder to boost them up with IO sets, but since defense bonuses were changed to haloed, it's easier to find bonuses in many sets.
I think my biggest "mistake" in my /EA brute was having Energy Melee. It's not a set I've enjoyed as much as others. If you pick a Melee set with some good reliable mitigation (knockdowns, area effects), then it's easier to take lots of things out more quickly and that makes your Defense set a lot more survivable.
