I regret to inform you that the following answer has been found to be in violation of the Message Forum Rules and Guidelines. Specifically it violates rule #4 which states:

Nobody needs to get all huffy about what others opinions are, and if they do please don't respond to or quote them. Quoting them just makes my life harder since they will get deleted individually by hand.

I'm excited by Ultra-Mode (at work at least my computer can handle some of it), but for me the content is a bigger deal. While the quantity might not be to the level that some like, I'll tell you now the quality is very high.

For the record, as one of those people who has bids at 2bill (not many, since once I get that number it's after I've reached 50 and fully IO'd out the character I tend to just retire the character from active play) if we were to change it so those bids "went away" (something I'd highly oppose as it would harm the community of market users and put an undue workload on the CS department) I'd have to move that inf into a different storage medium (there are a number of other potential ways to store inf).

I'd probably take the lazy way out and just store it in recipes/enhancements. That would mean my personal bases would fill up with valuable commodities which would be essentially removed from the market. I'm guessing most of the other dedicated market users would store their resources the same way, leading to a great buy up.

That would be a short term inflationary event unprecedented in this game. I personally wouldn't like to see how the redside market would respond to a several hundred billion inf buying spree.

Since this is already well past the point of productivity, I'll go ahead and lock it.

Reading the responses, I'd like to emphasize the word "should". I can't ever promise anything for sure, because there's a lot that goes into making an announcement. We want to get info to you guys, but at the same time we need to make sure any info we get to you is 100% correct. When we don't get it right you folks get rightly upset.

So to recap. We want to get you info, as soon as we possibly can. You guys want info, but you want the right stuff. We're working hard to get it to you, and as soon as we can we'll share more.

I did say we should have an announcement of some sort this week, and I'll stick by that. What will it be? You'll have to wait and find out. I'd love to give it to you now, but we've got to wait until the appropriate time.

First of all welcome to the game. I'm impressed with the way you've handled a difficult installation (i.e. going to the forums to request help), as I usually don't have the patience to do similar. I've had a similar problem with another product when I used a trial account to bootstrap myself to a full installation after losing the original disks, so I can definitely sympathize.

Secondly, this game is very forgiving for older hardware (especially on hero-side), so while you may at times experience a less than optimal play experience the initial machine I ran CoH on was similar to what you are running.

Finally I agree that some of the limitations and features of trial accounts need to be re-examined, and I will convey your experience to the Dev Team. If you have any further feedback on how you feel about trial accounts I'd love to hear about them, if you feel the urge to PM me please do so as I always welcome good feedback.

I'll go ahead and lock this down since it is a "petition" but your complaint has been noted. I personally love TA and for me part of that is flash arrow (my TA/A is still low level so the -per in flash arrow is invaluable). The beauty of flash arrow being the 2nd power selection is you don't have to take it if you don't like it.
