Sorry, folks, just as you can't advertise commercial items or services, you also can't sell your own stuff on the board, whether for real money, inf, or any other benefit. -

Once upon a Time there was a mod. And he was going around doing mod things. And he came across this thread.
So, anyway, it took him a couple re-reads to understand what the situation is.

I am closing this thread as it isn't going anywhere constructive. For all the reasons listed, some people do not wish to respec. This is ultimately a choice left up to the individual and is not something that should be questioned. Some people wish to respec, others do not. At the end of the day all points are valid.

Constructive discussion in this thread has been peppered with personal insults, trolling remarks, and argumentation. From here on I'd appreciate if this type of behavior was curtailed, otherwise I may have to close the thread.

Let's try to keep the tone of this thread (relatively) positive. This thread is for aspects you like (or the lack thereof) in the current PvP system. Because feedback is subjective there might be some contrary opinions, but since opinions are personal I ask that you don't argue with other users' views on the state of PvP.

Hey folks, let's keep the discussion in this thread related to the Thundercats reboot, please.
The art and animation discussion seems to be raising some tensions, and as it's a rather in-depth topic with a lot of subjectivity involved, discussion of it is derailing the thread and is bordering on argumentation.
If you have anything to say on the subject of artstyles and animation, please keep it constrained to the style of the upcoming Thundercats cartoon.

With regards to consistency in moderation, especially when it comes to the Comic and Hero/Villain Culture forum, it's a matter of "How much is this related to CoH?" While I know there are a lot of subjects out there that our users would like to talk about, we try to keep the focus closer to things that are related to City of Heroes: comic books, TV shows and movies with heroes and villains, science/sci-fi, etc. This is, of course, always something that's under examination, evaluation, and a lot is left to discretion, but the main point is that we do not want the Comic and Hero/Villain Culture section becoming a "General Off-Topic" area for any and all subjects, especially those unrelated to City of Heroes.

Again, while I understand that people want to discuss other video games, perhaps draw parallels with CoH, the forum is a City of Heroes forum. Ultimately, the game that everyone is on the board to discuss is City of Heroes. There are many other boards out there that allow for general video game discussion, if you are so inclined. And with regards to comparing/contrasting, while we always appreciate feedback, constructive criticisms, and suggestions, there are certainly ways to voice them without relying on "X game does this."

Once again I need to ask you all to please stop discussing this matter on the boards. The forum is not the proper avenue to discuss the current state of affairs with the Defiant Events channel.
Please note that if you feel strongly about this issue and would like to send a petition to customer service and/or the GMs, you are more than welcome to do so. You are also encouraged to try and work the issue out privately. I know that there has also been a "Defiant Events 2" channel created that sounds closer to the previous atmosphere of Defiant Events.
Again, please try and sort the issue out privately, or contact support. Please do not bring it up on the forums again, or I am afraid I will have to start actioning specific accounts. -
Hi everyone,
The topic of casting actors and actresses of different races than their traditional comic book counterparts has been a hot topic lately, and while the issue falls under what is defined as "Comic and Hero/Villain Culture," these threads have the potential to become too racially charged for the boards.
While I thank everyone thus far for a measured and non-derogatory discussion, I must still close the thread as these types of discussions tend to wander into areas that are inappropriate for the board. Again, I apologize, but please do not discuss racial casting on the forum. Thanks everyone. -

I know that this is a big issue for some of you Defiant players, and I hope that the issue is resolved favorably for everyone. That being said, because of how volatile this issue is I must respectfully close the thread in order to prevent the tensions herein from escalating.
While we, the moderation staff, cannot personally get involved, I encourage players to try and resolve this issue privately. Again, I hope that whatever conclusion you all reach regarding the status of Defiant Events is satisfactory to all parties. -
There's enough good answers in this thread that I think anyone looking for Fake Nemesis will be able to find them. Since the question's been answered and this thread is several months old, I'm going to go ahead and close it.
