  2. So I just got my Firefly complete series in the mail today after getting back from vacation. I have no idea what it is, I've never seen an episode. Is it anything like Farscape?
  3. tl;dr version: Grow social skills or stop expecting teams to read your mind.

Edit: Like Turg suggested, we could even help you set up some macros so you can run your little fiefdoms right.

Human element? Like making this your "job" instead of a game? No thanks.

And E/Luna, you guys never make any of the stuff you run feel like that. Even the no-nonsense Top Ten SG gets a kick out of having us around being "inefficient". The time me, Tundy, and Captain Denmark (TT SG Leader) cut up for a few minutes on a BAF it took longer, but everyone started cracking jokes in League chat. Just old skool stuff, nothing cutting edge, but it was awesome. Might have taken a few minutes more, but we still beat it. People hung out for about 12 runs, chatting up the entire time.

My main expectation is that people on my team are reasonably intelligent and able to perform their role well without having to really be asked. If you are playing a toon with "buffs," then I generally expect that you will make use of those buffs as much as possible. Yes, maintaining some buffs may be annoying, particularly in large groups, but your contribution goes a long way. Even something as simple as spreading out those nifty "Fortune" buffs can help a lot.
If I play toons with support powers, it's by accident. Corrs and Controlers are not buffers. You expect me to buff instead of Control or toss Corr dmg, start paying my sub fee. The second you act like you should be sitting behind my keyboard is the second I quit the team. For anyone. Or you get no SB if I'm not booted, even with the 20.5 change. Which hurts the entire team because eventually I would have remembered on my own. That's not treating someone like a human at all.

Again, this is a game, not a job. If you want to judge someone's performance and tell them what to do, go back to real life and be someone's boss yo.

Honestly, I find DrGemini's whole attitude about this thing is insulting. He isn't expected to act humanely (very bitchy and cranky, see bold above). We all, his teammates, have to pick up his slack on personality slotting. And we don't know him from Null the Gull. Like our lives and jobs don't do the same to us. Belittle us more, please.

If he would have been on a Lambda (I think, might have been a BAF) J-Force was on this weekend he probably would have had a conniption fit.

Situation: We had 9 or 10 people on, plus friends (Morna and a few others) on someone else's Lambda.

First funny thing: Morna and Lieran were constantly asking the League Lead to get them on the same team. It sounded like two kids on a school bus wanting to sit next to each other.

Second funny thing: Mac/Dragao and I decided to do the "He's touching me" "No I didn't, I'm just pointing at you really really close" "I wanna be over there on that side" bit from siblings riding in a car, because it fit the situation. Only we did this instead of killing stuff because it was funny for a bit.

How the leader handled it: Like an exasperated parent, but still did it which was even funnier, asking us if we were happy now.

How it ended up: He ended up playing along even more later when things got a bit hairy, even threatened to "Turn this Lambda around and go home" in the trial. And we beat it down, even with a bit of fun trow'd in there.

From how Gemini paints himself (Miss Prissy Pants w/Attitude) all four of us would have been booted. He'll chime in and say something about having a sense of humor, but that wouldn't be consistent with his concrete "this is the way it is, my way or the '/em kick button twitches' " stance on teaming. Which again, would be funny since he obviously can't have it both ways and told us to straighten up and fly straight from the get go. No funny business.

Copy that E. I was poking the thread trying for a response and didn't get the unintended audience.

It is fun to pull extra spawns though. I'm not as good at it since I lost Acrobatics... thanks Customs.

My bad. Getting back from a 2 year hiatus appears to have scrambled some Blapper brain cells.

If I make it I'm in on this run. Turg killing be meh hobby! Probably be harder than ever now with level shifts and what not.

I'm curious now. Ran the E-Man stuff on Wednesday with you and pulled a few extra spawns on us from time to time, dying infrequently.

Pain or fun? I didn't hear any complaints, but I chocked that up to E knowing how we usually run (and him being happy I wasn't J-Man on a Tank hauling stuff from all over creation).

Love it Bill. Spoken like a true Scrapper.
  10. Depending on J-Force options, I'm an alternate. I haven't heard if we have anything planned yet though.
  11. Per the Facebook post, I'm in with my main (Nrg/Nrg). Who's the Tank I'm annoying with my knockback?
  12. I'll be in once I can get out of Korea and into a US-friendly time zone. Latest I can see this happening is August, if the job search takes longer than I want. Earliest would be end of June.

And you still miss the point. You grant yourself a position of social dominance and expect people to jump with your grade school social skills and sledgehammer swinging at gnats. And with a player you know is solid. You are a treasure. Please keep posting moar. Because you're never wrong. Like ever.

What I got from the whole chain is that you should try and take a page from the Raid Leaders we've had that were successful over YEARS (Rose/Tammy) and go with the flow instead of trying to scare us with your e-peen of knowledge and way too long arguments as to why you're right. You want the big boy chair, act like you're a big boy. Works for my nephew when he's acting like a **** half his real age.

Sup Section, long time to see bro.

Customs- nice to see you chime in with the kat/cheeseburger link.

Seriously out now. Did you know that May 5th is the Dutch national founders day or something? And they all have the day off? And I'm here for this insane street party?

Oh, yes. I have stories. Many stories.

Seriously? He's ball breaking over this piddly weak stuff? On Lieran of all people? Why can't the PUG pickup that we boot as we load the last mish of a Task Force nerdrage like this guy? I mean, at least they play badly or doorsit on us for us to boot/taunt/publicly humiliate.

I have no idea what kind of SG he's in, but we'd probably boot someone with his attitude for being a ******. Probably wouldn't make it through a legit playtest. I mean, what kind of atmosphere does that represent for their SG? Shut up and color or we threaten you in a digital world where you actually should want to be digital friends?

He isn't reppin' their tag on the forums so I can avoid them like the plague. Someone sort this out. I smell what he's cookin' and his home team doesn't seem to have his back or be straightening him out. Something's fishy here, and it isn't the tunafish.

'Scuse me. I've got some braun cafes and red lights to check. Be back after Memorial Day.

And that was WITH an Emp in my pocket. It seemed like he had me on follow for most of a few missions spamming Absorb Pain. I died so much I had both Emps rez AND my Rise of the Phoenix pretty much on permanent cool down.

I love these Mo* badges that you don't have to worry about dying.

I just gave up on in-game communication and sent the man an email. I forget how long it was. Nice catch on the spelling mistake. I probably just thought he was trying to write in wharfy.
