I really like it when I manage to come up with something 'snappy' (me coming up with something is also being used to mean 'uses suggestion friend Ann comes up with') that gets across a good aspect of their powers or appearance.
Faves are:
-Geothunder stone/stone tank (although, he would have been a good earth/storm)
-Nachtlicht ice/ice blaster (her costume is based heavily off a luna moth's and her powers are cold like the moon would be. Her name is German for 'night light' and she's uh, named after one of my favourite my little ponies)
-Peppermint Shake stone/stone dominator. (she's under 'snappy', because it's a fun name to say. Her costume is white and red with striped leggings, and her powers are all gem stones meant to be like rock candy. She's the demon of tooth decay who decided to seize some real power)
-Stratosfear stone/storm controller. No real notes about him, I've never managed to really play the character, but I'm a big fan of his name.
-Silver Cygnet (I had plans to make this the same powerset as Swan, but I've decided to go with psychic/time manipulation controller once the new issue comes out. So getting a reroll and a better costume, but I swear, this is such a lovely costume)
-Love Lies Bleeding plant/thorns dominator. (Getting a reroll. Love the concept and the plant she's named after, but I already have a plant/thorn dom I love more. So I'm gonna keep her on ice until I find out what new stuff is coming for dominators)
-Spacegirl Slick energy/energy blaster. (She's my homage to Spaceman Spiff, a Calvin persona from Calvin and Hobbes. The only problem is when I share screenshots of her, people think spacegirlslick.jpg is Spacegirls Lick. /em facepalm)
-Smiles Morelli kin/nrg brute. (He's a Family character with a scarred up face. He's basically what the name says on the tin. Also gets his name, Morelli, from a character in The Thin Man)
Currently having a hell of a time naming a time machine character, though. Hester Day is good, but would work better on a human being.
Also, I'd like to say that there are a lot of awesome names in this game. Usually at least once a playing session I see one that makes me go 'gosh darnit! I SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT' -

Here's my most favourite costumes:
-Nemesis. Wonderfully steampunk and somehow fitting for the world.
-Clockwork King. Creepy and cool and clockpunky all at once. He's a lot of fun to look at.
-Statesman. You see him, you know he's the main guy.
-Honoree. You can SEE who he used to be and what he's become and it's an amazing piece of design.
-Mirror Spirit. Such a pretty costume.
-Fusionette. Easy to see the parts that went into her, but I think it gets her concept across great. The bright cheery hair, bright coloured costume, and the matching powers show a character with a lot of energy.
-Nightstar. She's scary.
-Praetor Tillman. She's so different from Psyche you can see easily that body is hella stolen. The only thing I *don't* like about her costume is the star on her belt, because I keep thinking she's gonna get stabbed in the torso. That was a bad idea.
-Miss Liberty. I've always liked her costume.
-Backalley Brawler. He's one tough cookie and reassuring as much as Marauder is menacing.
-Mako. Nice and streamlined.
Least Favourite Costumes:
-Black Swan. It's very meh. It's just so generic.
-EDIT: I meant Bobcat. Meh as well. Needs some extra detail.
-Sister Psyche. It's just... I'm not sure how to describe it, besides ugly. I know she's from the past, but her attempts to get modern fashion can't be that bad.
-Marauder. Because I suggested a hair very similar to that and wanted it for my characters because game dreadlocks suck and I am overcome with intense tiny canadian bitterness when I see him now. You should solve this problem by giving his hair to the players. it was worth a try
-Baby New Year is horrific beyond belief.
-Legacy Chain could be in any other game.
Hope this helps! -
I like ones where I have to think or employ actual strategy. And puzzles are fun. I liked the portals in that arc in that new villainside arc of the guy whose name is totally escaping me right now.
Okay, I didn't like dying repeatedly, but I still liked the satisfaction of finding the right doors. -
Quote:These three were my faves. Posi/Numina=Adorable, [something witty and contributing on the subject of how funny that nerd joke was], and Anti-Matter's pain is like candy.
* Positron, I choose YOU! (fling... whump.... woman's shriek... sounds of bare flesh hitting pavement) Numina! How did YOU get in there with Posi?!
* Okay, so I'm fighting Freakshow which are probably electric type and I've got Widow, who's a ghost type, Mako is water type... Scirocco... crap, someone get me my manual... I've forgotten what Emo-Type is strong against!
* Anti-Matter, I choose YOU! (fling, tap-tap-tap-tap, roll stop) Anti-Matter? Anti-Matter... what's that? You say you're not coming out until someone explains why you got just a regular old pokeball while Neuron got a Masterball? -
Quote:Are they asking to be harassed?
But don't get pissed when you wear something with a plunging neckline and you catch a man looking at your cleavage. You chose to put it where it can be seen, and men are GOING to look. If you don't WANT them looking, why did you wear that shirt?
Because they like that shirt? -
How much do I like the contest billboards? Thiiiiiiiiiis much.
I never saw the real world advertising in game either, but if it was region locked, that may be because I'm canadian and no one wants our filthy beaver fur. Money. I meant money. -
Quote:And if she doesn't, well, it's an excellent idea for a slash AE arc.My Pick: Sister Psyche - she'll get nearly killed and will inhabit Malaise via Mindriding to dispense her TF.
What? At least it's not Statesman's Furry Adventure.
Quote:You referring to this?
My guess is it's one of those three, and I wouldn't be surprised if our actions during the arc are what decides who dies.
I sometimes think I'd like the Surviving Eight a lot more if they hadn't been so annoying in the second comic. Whereas BaBs in the first one was actually rather nifty. please don't die, babs -
Little uncomfortable by how many times I saw the suggestion that (general) you should lie about your gender to avoid abuse, because that puts the blame on you for you know, being honest. Or being a woman at all.
I much preferred the report them suggestions, which I should have done when a guy decided that since I was talking to him on a female avatar, that meant I wanted him to send me pictures of his *****. I was so confused, I thought it was a radioactive mushroom. -

Thank you for transcribing!
Oh my gosh, I have never been happier that I kept my accounts going even when my internet was nonfunctional for months. -
I'm gonna have to go with D, wherein you can use a free player like an awaken if you're defeated.

Quote:I could totally buy this. Poor, poor Anti-Matter.Voice Over: Enriche makes you feel energized and ready to face your day. Don't believe us? We tracked down an Enriche drinker to find out how HE feels about the idea of going a day without a fortifying drink of Enriche.
Praetor Neuron: Go a day without my Enriche? People, I have at least 1000 different scientific advances, research and projects going on at any given time. Enriche helps me maintain the pace it takes to get them ALL finished perfectly and thereby provide a better lifestyle and stronger defense of all you loyal Praetorians. But don't let ME be the one to convince you how important it is to drink Enriche... let's talk to someone who REFUSES to take advantage of this wondrous elixer...
(scene switches to show an agitated looking armored individual)
Anti-Matter: What? Oh... COME ON!! -
Quote:yessss. More horror stuff!
. Those who know Coles secrets know that this is a place where the barrier between this world and the next is stretched thin, where the spirits of the dead walk among the living, -
Quote:Oh hell yes. To all of that. Especially the CoT and Rocket Board. The new issue of PC Gamer (September issue, "Bioshock Infinite" cover) has a lengthy piece on City of Heroes, spotlighting the new endgame raids and the upcoming Freedom changes. It's mostly stuff we already know, but there's a sidebar about the in-game store that I believe has some items we haven't seen before: A "Rocket Board" (sort of a flying skateboard), Circle of Thorns costume pieces, "Gunslinger" costume pieces (the picture shows a female in a sort of "saloon girl" outfit, with a big ribbon in her hair, a striped corset, and some kind of fancy belt...holsters, maybe?), and some of the Titan Weapons (a magic-looking staff, a fancy sword, and a spiked club, plus the railroad sign we've already seen).

Quote:This explanation, and the earlier suggested ones about how you're with Powers Division which means you *are* in Cole's power, or shielded by Resistance, is working for me now. They say that magic CAN block the seers and bypass security. That indicates that doing the right things (the right spells, the right artifacts and so on) will allow that to happen. It's not automatic. Therefore, magic users in general would be "ignored" by the system until they started becoming powerful enough to know the things needed to block out seers or bypass their security systems.
Also, thank you for the transcript, OP. Mighty kind of you. -

this explanation works for me.
Also, nice pictures! -
Betting! What kind of heroes are you.
also: Dark blast! Squee! Just as I'd run out of blaster combos too. -
I think I have a new appreciation for that map now. Whoa.

Quote:Not even sure how they could. You're doing your thing and suddenly police drones show up and 'RP LIKE TYPING DETECTED'?Not exactly sure why they'd try to stop anything that isn't a violation of the Code of Conduct or EULA, but whatevs.
Then your character has to wear a scarlet R -
