Actually i quite enjoy the MA there is some good stuff in there under the heavy amounts of untested dross and farms.

I already purchase my Veteran Badges its my sub.

Glad to see Cartoon Network have got in on the act too by showing the entire Clone Wars series back to back.

Bridger, for all his seeming competence as a mod, wasn't exactly the best when it came to disruptive members. He allowed a complete jerk to stay on the forums, flinging some of the most vicious bile and hatred ever seen on these forums, and who didn't even get a ban after physically threatening several forum members with assault.

That guy SHOULD have been thrown out, but the only thing that ever happened (I asked B this in person at a player meet), was that B phoned him and discussed the issue, he promised to stop, and then kept on doing it before eventually quitting under his own steam.

Not quite sure if you are agreeing with the point that Canine made and i backed up or not in that there has always been people in need of a mod-slap and that there where mods there to slap them even if they did not slap everyone who needed it.

Either way it is clear at the moment there are quite a few people in need of a good mod-slap at the moment and i freely agree i am one of them

If its not interesting why play it. I quite happily delete 50s because i never imagine playing them again and have yet to get a tank to 50 as once they are no longer fun they go in the bin.

Not true anymore with the MA now being used as it can act like an auto-sidekick.

I took my lvl 2 Fire tank which i had sitting around for 2 months into a mission solo where it was fillied with lvl 42 Rikti Coms Officers and my level was set at 42. The tank had 2 powers from its primary 1 secondary, brawl, sands of mu and the Nem Staff and nothing else. There where 3 coms officers in each spawn and after about 5 coms officers i levelled I managed 10 spawns before I got killed giving me 7 levels. I was nowhere near clearing the map, that was me soloing i dread to imagine what a team of 8 could have been doing even if everyone dropped out to hospital after death and levelled they could easily have gained 20 or more levels on the map going through it once.

Here's a thought - the MA is only available, like Ourobouros, to lvl 25s plus. You need to do the tutorial before you can touch the system.

As it is, new players even if they're not farming/powerlevelling are still seeing a lot of the content for 'later on' (i.e. mobs that appear after certain levels etc). So put a level cap on the MA, that'd be my solution.

Oh and remove it from Kings, Mercy, Atlas and Galaxy. Any other zones? Oh yes, Port Oakes.

Yes, it removes early level heroes/villains from enjoying different content to the starting stuff. Heck, you never know, it might encourage developers to make some more new content for those levels to alleviate the boredom?

An amendum to this would be to make the Dev's Choice/ Hall of Fame available to those under 25 so that they can still team and try out the MA. Might even try and promote creativity on the MA a bit too making becoming a devs choice or Hall of famer mean something worth attaining and not necessitate the removal of the building from any zone they are currently in.

There is no diminishing returns the Awesome Jeffrey has stamina 6 slotted at pre ED levels just ask the Knives of Artemis. I can safely say there are well over 100 Knives that was a chaffing weekend

Actually i have the same view it has been nice to play the rusty old 50's which have only ever been out to play TFs or do a bit of badging but the MA has rejuvenated them.

It may be a marmite thing for many i agree. But there are AE buildings in most zones so go to Talos to get away from all teh farming going on in Atlas. Sit back and enjoy the good arcs, personally I look for 4 star missions as they are not as spammed 5 stars as often as farms. But if it looks a bit agricultural and you can smell the manure, quit out and report it. Easy enough to pick another.

Its a small thing about smilies the one with the tongue sticking out is the equivalent of a a blown raspberry which you used and not a "yes we are all in on whatever you are discussing and oh what a joke it is" which i believe you were aiming for which would be a smirking smiley . You may know what you mean but its interpretation is changed. Its a small distinction but a vital one much like the use of a comma such as this classic example.

Well i however have significantly less. I agree with Dr T with the omg it looks like the EU player base consists of ADHD children at the moment who if they are not being held and told how great they are 27 times a minute, then the they will throw a temper tantrum that nobody loves them any more. The initial post was rude and offensive to not just US players but those of us on the EU servers who do not run around like a headless chicken at even the smallest perceived slight to the EU player base. A quick look in other threads will show EU players made the same mistake, what should we do with them put them against a wall and poke them with sharp sticks?

Guild Wars is cheap can pick it up for under £10 in pretty much any game store and has no subs and some continuing advertising everytime they release an add on. And while fantasy is not my thing i gave it a try even if it was only for a week cause it was so cheap, but still makes me one of those 6 million.

On the other hand even when CoH was first released it was hard to find it in a game store and had very little advertising ever never mind it being ongoing. And have yet to see a box in any store for the last few years.

If its not there nobody can buy it, even if it was in those buy 2 for £15 racks in Game it would be a bonus, hell you can still find Theme Hospital in those racks why not CoX.

so the times mentioned in the notice, eh what times are the in the UK and rest of Europe i can barely never mind the random acronyms the Americans use to divide their silly country's time zones.

Oh i am sorry you took it to mean this thread in particular i was talking about the board as a whole. Because as mad as it sounds i have been playing this game for nigh on 4 years and have even ventured onto villains and seen the red lightening effect.

As for insta-suck i present off the top of my head.

Jays costume thread and many others have turned into "boo-hoo the Americans dont look at our bored and or tell us anything things like server down time several weeks in advance of them happening". Eh hello we have 4 servers they have many more and a much larger player base, as for 12 -5 being prime playing time on UK server hello a large majority are at work or school. As for things happening on UK holidays well i pretty ration and realise things need done right after major patch, everything works fine till people start to play with it on mass. And to be hones if its not cross posted on the EU boards within seconds of it being on the US somebody has already cross-posted it over here with the obligatory "OH MY GOD WHY DID NOBODY INFORM US OF THIS" yeah its time-stamped 4 nanoseconds ago.

There are very few complementary messages about the MA, yes the interface sucks and the devs keep removing things due to exploits. Well stop making farm maps which take advantage of the exploits and it wont happen but that is human nature. Seriously maps full of Rikti Communication Officers etc

There is a rather large thread about how Champions Online is going to spell doom for CoX. Eh its ran by Mr Emmett if you recall thinks tanks should not tank and brought in the massive nerfs in the first few issues so i dont hold out much hope for that in the long run.

There is the endless complaining about Villains not having enough content or hero zones needing a touch up. PvP being broken, seriously if you want to play a pvp MMO why did you even pick up this game in the first place it was never advertised as being one and broken since the introduction of it again due mainly to Mr Emmett so woo Champions has good pedigree. The farming/power-levelling which has always been here but is now pretty damm rampant and spilling over to ruin the quality of game for those who did not give a damm about it.

And then this thread because wow the developers do something good and has been asked about for a long while. Hey look dev took notice and did something you ask for and did it well. But no its broken cause you cant change the damm colour or you cant use the emote when you have a shield up.

I play this game cause i like to team up and do missions. This is the MMO of the many i have tried where teaming and the community is good and all this negativity is ruining my enjoyment of the forums. Good stuff is happening with content enjoy it and dont turn everything into DOOM DOOM WE ARE ALL DOOMED moments.

Do i want all of these things fixed hel yeah.
Do i want new content for villains and heroes of course.
Do i want the US to take a bit more notice of us than they have been recently/ever, yes.
Do i like everything that has happened to the game since i started, no.
Do i take everything that has happened to the game as a person slight to me, dont be stupis (oh right this is the internetz and internetz rules apply so im wrong everything that has ever happened to this game is done purely to annoy me)
Do i enjoy the forums at the moment, no.
Do i still like the game as much as when i started, of course if anything it is better.

Oh i forgot the first rule of the internet.

Rule 1. Oh look something new shiny and good must complain that its not as good as i would have made it quickly before people actually enjoy it for what it is.

Would agree that the search system is a bit limited.

But i will give them slack on that they got a mission editor to work on an current MMO (even if it is starting to show its age). And the probably were not expecting it to be such a success, even if it is a success in publishing rubbish.

They provided ability to preview and test work even allowed for you to invite a team to help you and provided the shiny badges to encourage you to do so. Yet still people publish broken stuff. With a "What do you mean its not balanced i can solo it on my pimped out lvl 50 scrapper which i spend 200 Mill Inf on IO's what do you mean you found it difficult with as a defender." Seems to be the attitude to publishing stuff at the moment.

I think we can expect a new search system if the MA continues to be successful. If it goes the way of the Arena where people turned up for the firs few weeks to get badges and exploit the bugs then the search will eventually filter out dross.

But of course if people want to use it and stop because of the search system it will become another white elephant like the Arena's.
