I agree Sy..have given up taking new toons through. Actually..have sorta given them up full stop, this has really annoyed me. And the fact no one has come out and commented on the huge iXP reduction is even worse. Considering the trials and incarnate powers are the new 'it' thing, its just sad.
-
That sounds about my average also Iron..12 % interface from a LAM now, crazy. I realllllly hope this is not WAI. If so, and the next lot of Incarnate powers take as long to unlock, it can go jump. It took long enough to unlock Lore before this patch, I shudder to think how long now.
As for getting a redname to comment...who knows. Not like it is a big issue or anything.. -
Vote to Kick is great..he would have been gone.
Every Lam I have formed, I specifically tell people before the EB, if anyone goes to dance in the cut scene, you get kicked. Only time I wont kick someone is if they happen to be running back from the hospital. I dont care if a persons team finishes their bit while the other is at 9/10..you STILL attempt to help.
Naturally, I always wait until said lazy person has used their temp powers before booting them. -
Sounds about right Dark..1/3 of what it was. One friend has already told me she wont be running any more toons through the trials as they stand now.
-
Quote:Is that so? Shall we list things that had huge bugs when they went LIVE? Mmm lets see..how about, end mod IO recipes sets not working at all, for like..5 months after the IO system came in? So your saying no one happened to slot and test an end mod recipe?Sorry it happened to you, but if it happened more often, they'd have fixed it before it went live...just sayin. Bugs are funny that way.
Or how about the snake egg farm, that was reported a lot during the test, and STILL went live?
I'm not saying that bugs wont sneak in now and again, of course they do. Cant blame them for that. But merely claiming that a bug does NOT occur often, simply because it happened to enter the LIVE servers, is totally stupid.
I had this bug on keyes trial also, and it is very annoying. Sorry you got it twice Sapp -
If this is sharing, give me personal iXP again
Just did a BAF..5% judgement xp. FIVE. So 20 needed to unlock it? lol. Glad they addressed the grind by making it more of a grind -
Mmm thats an idea Sooner. Another friend is telling me how she is getting 3% per BAF run atm..I have taken 25+ alts through the trials, before i20.5, and I never once got under 5% on a baf.
Anyone else have similar stories? I find it very amusing, and not at all surprising, that the devs efforts to 'fix' iXP and have it apply to an entire league..seems to have ended up with us getting less.
Update..just ram a Lam. EIGHT % destiny xp. 8. Prepatch, every lam I did for destiny would be at least 15%. I wonder if this is working as intended, or just another thing the awesome testing doesnt uncover? -
Yeah my alpha is open and filled. I was getting physical and psychic xp..the values were just so bloody pathetic. In contrast, I just did a 24 person baf. ONE % xp for the prisoner phase. So just that gave me move than all of keyes? That is just wrong
-
Just did a keyes trial, with 30% judgement, 85% destiny, at the start. We just finished, a pretty good run...and those percentages have NOT moved? wtf is that, 45 mins for a grand total of zero?

Took my bots/storm MM on a Keyes run today. My thoughts are..
I pretty much gave up even bothering with my pets. Between healing myself, healing team mates, and debuffing mobs, I found it easier to just forget them. The damage from teh pulse seemed to change a lot at random...sometimes in BG mode I would take next to no damage and my pets wouldnt be touched, then another time, still in BG, they all just...died.
I view keyes as still being very MM unfriendly. Pretty much reduced to using your secondary to help out. Over the whole trial..I enjoyed a single bit..just one. In the bunkers, I had all my pets out and was shredding the mobs so people could duck in and grab temps to rush up to the terminals. THAT was fun..I felt useful. The rest of the time..not so much.
Haven't done baf or lam yet since the changes however...given that the avs on baf cna pretty much one shot anything short of a brute/tank who is at lvl 53, I dont think pets suddenly being 53 will help much..melee pets are still going to get wiped out easier than ranged.
Also on lam, my biggest issue is that teh collection phase basically forces a team to zoom along. Sure, I guess I could summon all my pets and solo a crate in one area while the rest of my team ran together..but I think thats pretty counter to the league idea. And again, having pets at lvl 53, wont really help when your sprinting through the base with the team. -
I must agree that being Disintergrated is stupid. Doing keyes today with my emp fender. And I happened to see a dom get the warning and green glowy. So naturally, I spammed heals on him. Now when I say spammed..I mean I used heal other, absorb pain, and healing aura, all on him, as he took damage. Guess what happened..he STILL died. wtf is that? I timed my healing with the hp pulse drops, and he was full hp one moment..then flat out dead.
Not to mention, there is so many graphical effects going on in that last fight..no idea what AM is doing half the time, then everyone is flying, stunned, taking damage. And in amongst all that there is some tiny green glow that means a person is dying? Awesome! -
Quote:friggin stupid more like. Just because people ARE in pocket D doing the trials does NOT somehow mean they dont want solo incarnate progression. It just means they are resigned to the fact there is NO reasonable solo way to advance their characters. You might get a greater response if your argument was based in reality.
The "Players want solo content, not raids" mentality is proven false every single night in Pocket D and RWZ by the masses lining up to still do Lambda and BAFs as well as Keyes.
The "This game has become a raiding game" mentality is being proven false by issues including non-raiding content as well. Even the issue that gave us the first raids included Mortimer SFs and Sutter TFs. We already know with VIP membership we get a signature story arc every month... which is more solo-able content than we ever got with issues that may have included 2-3 of them after 8 months of development.
And finally, maybe this whole anti-raid outcry would look a little better if it were isolated to one place. Spreading it out amongst dozens of threads just makes it plainly obvious that the outcry is just being magnified through quantity of spammed rants by a handful of people. -
No no..I dont want great BIG pets. I was just expecting something that did NOT look like a vet power?? I like the wisp vet power..as a vet power. Not as a damn boss class pet! Checking the wispy things in croatoa now..to compare sizes. The sprites...thats the kinda thing I was expecting.
Also..since the boss lore pets do such major damage..it makes sense..to see your longbow, roman, clockwork pet hitting for a stack...seeing a tiny glowbug hitting for more damage than you do? Come on! -
Ok, new lore pets..yay. Question for people...has anyone else made the polar light pets and...been TOTALLY underwhelmed by how they look?? They are just the same size as the vet wisp pets!! Has anyone seen how WTFHUGE the longbow boss pet is? And polar lights look like that? Come on, really.
-
On the Sutter tf...I forget her name..Harbringer, Beholder?....whatever, the female av in the sewer mission...she has a power called..Bubble of Slow Time. Can totally see this being in the set.

Wondering if your ice blasts would make up for you not healing and buffing? No, they would not. Thats why teams have proper debuffers, you know, like a PRIMARY set of debuffs?
The ice blasts are your secondary..your asking if you should be using that MORE than your primary? Need a dictionary?
Its like a ice rad corr never using his rad toggles and saying..its ok..im slowing the baddies down..who needs those silly toggles!
Not to mention..WHY even make an emp if your skipping the heals? Make a rad and get the same aoe heal and debuffs..
Non healing emps are fine..IF they are buffing enough so the team doesnt need healing. Which is helping a team more..lil fender ice blasts..or keeping everyone from being hit, mezzed and at full hp? -
Holds do help yes, but also debuffs. Anything that can get him taking more damage *since his personal damage output is really not that bad, its the adds/airstrikes etc).
That said..I agree with you that the tf being 20-40 really does make it sound easier than it is. I have done it with 50 ex'd down, and even then, the idf mobs are stiff pretty tough. Tougher than most other mobs you might have fought till then.
My advice is..take something with -regen. Any task force you should assume an AV and bring something to work on that. If you only took 4 people on a new tf and didnt have any debuffs..well..hate to say it, but that's your fault. That said, you can kill him with damage in much less than 2 hours..the key is..
Theres a combat medic just outside the respawn point, on the map. Load up your tray with half lucks, hald reds. Then, using 3 lucks and 3 reds at a time, bash his head in. With the lucks, most of those air strikes WILL miss you, even if your in the zone -
Quote:It's kinda dumb to judge an entire powerset by looking at just the last two powers. Some sets are late bloomers like Kinetics. Other sets get their useful powers earlier. For example, compare the first five Kinetic powers to the first five powers of Traps or Sonic Resonance.
Not to sound snarky, but its also kinda dumb to have clearly missed the part where I said I was trying to compare the two FINAL tier powers, not the entire set. And that is it..MY opinion. I dont mind if people dont agree, I enjoyed how people viewed the powers on their own builds. Again..their opinions. I wasnt trying to do a hardcore number crunching, this powers better than that power, post. I was just musing
And sorry for missing Poison...I think I was trying for corr/fender/troller support type sets. -
I have done about 200+ of both baf and lam...and have failed more Bafs by a huge amount. Only about 3 lams have gone bad, and I didnt really care at the time. I view Lam as a run for xp, with the reward being a bonus.
Helps if someone on the team, doesnt have to be the leader, gives a quick run down on what to do, not every knows. And be specific in saying things like don't aggro teh av until doors are down, etc etc. -
Totally agree with the suggestions. After playing my regen scrapper and stalker through the Incarnate content, especially the stalker, they feel very squishy. Add in the fact that so many of the attacks do -regen. I think lots of teh energy type blasts do, theres drain psy from the seers, the acus do some too dont they?
Cant agree more with teh statement about WP getting regen resistance in its fast healing, and regen not. Its utterly retarded. If anything, regen should have MORE resistance to regen debuffs. Maybe a small recovery resistance too? If your regeneration heatly so fast..kinda stands to reason the recovery is good too?
Also agree on the MoG thing..20 secs or shorter animation, its too long. And the rez...maybe have something like...You channel enegy through out yourself when defeated, increasing your regeneration enough to revive yourself and improve your regen for a time.' Efectively giving some kind of regen buff in the period after the rez?
Thinknig about Dull Pain of stalkers. The +hp aspect is a joke with stalker hp caps. How about making the cap extend for the duration of dull pain, say to 1800, giving an obvious benefit. OR..get rid of the hp hp entirely for stalkers, and shorten the recharge, so its just like a bigger heal, but useable more often?
Oh, and the guy saying regens are super tough..lol@him -
Thats true..but I was (trying) not to talk about lower tier powers..just what the later ones add to your game. And nothing trumps the last 2 kin powers, making a 'normal' set into a beast. And yes..it does have nothing to keep you alive (sorta) but capped damage on a team, beats ANY debuffs. Especially if there is lots of aoe around.
-
I was thinking about the various support type toons I have the other night, and how the last couple of powers each set provides helps and changes play style for those power sets. After having a think, I came to the conclusion that (shock horror!) some sets just dont cut it very well. That's not to say I think every set should be buffed/nerfed, or that the devs need to strive to make sets equal in power. This is just my random musings. If I missed any, apologies in advance.
Cold Domination.
Sleet/Heat Loss. Both awesome powers, they really fit (my) idea of the theme in cold dom, as well as being whoopass. Sleet is a total game changer at 35, especially if your toon didnt have any soft control. Not to mention how easy it is to perma. (I define a perma support power as one that is ready basically every mob on a decent paced team)
Dark Miasma
Black Hole/Dark Servant
I want to like black hole. I really do. It just sounds cool. Too bad its totally crap. And the recharge on it is totally stupid. As well as the duration of the intangible being way way to long not to induce team mate abuse. As for DS...I really do understand that the poor fluffy dude isnt too keen about following some person around..but why does he HAVE to vanish after a time, really? Other than that, good power, and nice alpha strike soaker.
Pain Domination
Anguishing Cry/Painbringer
I have never played a pain dom. But I do love the power names, even if the set itself doesnt appeal to me. However, I am given to understand both powers work fine, and they fit the theme.
Rad Emission
Fallout/EMP
Love both these on my rad, they fit the style and kick some ***. Fallout is one of the best debuffs in the entire game..and you get to make a team mate go bang. What could be better? Using Vengeance first of course. Emp..massive radius, huge hold duration. But, for the love of god, why does it kill your recovery, I dont get it at all. Also, given that rad can debuff an entire spawn, the usefulness of the hold is reduced, since you dont need it as often..combined with the loooonng recharge.
Sonic Res
Clarity/Liquefy
Ill start by saying both these powers DO sound funky, fitting in with the sonic theme. Looking a lil closer however..Clarity..a mez protection power...on a set that already HAS an aoe mez protection? Admittedly not a total one. On a power set that didnt offer this, clarity would be great. With sonic dispersion..not so much. Liquefy I like..but...the recharge is just way to long. The debuff is great, especially for a set without any other kind of acc. A great power, but really let down by this. I cant recall the exact rech on my sonic fender, but it is a far far cry from being anywhere near an every few mob type power.
Storm Summoning
Tornado/Lightning Storm
Very thematic powers, helps with the thunder god type image. Still on the fence about tornado, I love it on my mm for the pet uniques..dont have it at all on my storm troller. Without some source of kb (like an immob) it just annoys the hell out of everyone. LS is fuun..and so pretty. And does decent damage and the kb can be handy. Love it to bits. But why..since we can summon said storm..can it not MOVE with us? Maybe it would be a lil too good..and make Voltaic Senty seem more crappy..but still!
Thermal Radiation
Again, I dont have a thermal toon..but from what I hear and read, they are great powers and really improve playstyle. Only thing I can think of is that Therm gets HE at 35..and cold dom gets benumb at 28..a big difference in very similar powers. Not to mention the recovery in HE isnt that great..since npcs seem to cheat when it comes to endurance issues anyway.
Traps
Trip Mine/Time Bomb
Time bomb is crap..theres enough threads about that. Trip Mine I love..but maybe it could use a shorter interrupt time.
Trick Arrow
Oil Slick/Emp Arrow
Emp has the same points as for rad..but the recovery debuff is even more dumb, since you are using the arrow at range. Oil slick is great fun to, but isnt a perma debuff, maybe would be too good if it was.
Force Field
Repulsion Bomb/Force Bubble
Have not played my bubbler in forever, but I gather the changes to RP were good. However, given the playstyle of FF, I doubt it is going to be a huge change and improvement to take this power. Force bubble also suffers for being very very situational. Can think of about 3 places I used it on my bubbler.
Empathy
Regen Aura/Adren Boost
Not much to say..nice powers, AB is awesome, I love when I get it on any toon.
Kinetics
Transference and Fulcrum Shift.
At last we get there. The king of tier 8 and 9 powers. As good as stuff in other sets can be, nothing really compares to how the final two Kin powers just break open the set and make it all kinds kick ***. FS is pretty much the best power in the game I think. Perma out of the box and even better in a set with lots of rech built in.
So..to sum it all up..some sets have great final tier powers, some not so, some just crap or making no sense at all. Not to cry nerf, but if you look at kinetics in comparison to every other set, it is very very powerful. Maybe too much. The ability to cap your damage pretty much constantly, blows everything else out of the water. Combined with siphon speed and an end transfer power..
Not sure where I was going with this..just thinking about the sets and maybe that the others could use some kind of tweaks -
Just got the Lambda Looter badge. That is, running with collecting all 20 temps, using zero. Reading teh text for the other two badges...am I right in thinking that they require two more runs, getting full temps on A, non on B then vice versa...as well as using NONE of the two types in the final battle?
This just seems retarded to me. If you can manage to kill him once without any temps, why the other 2 times, besides making it bloody annoying?
Its like if the Tin Mage badges Army of Neu and Kitty's...suddenly required us to ALSO kill director 11 without tripping a mine.
