  1. few good ones..
The army of Me on MMs (already said)

also, the zombie invasion badge, also for an MM...Safety In Numbers

Grass is Meaner for anything plant related.

Lost Connection to Server from the MoM trial.

    Power we need

Before you set that mind on the powers we need King..might want to check this out..

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language
  3. Still some odd slotting.
O2 boost is your main heal and deserves more slots..doc wounds for rech is better than numi I think.
Steamy mist...yeah, the extra resist is nice, but it never gets very high. Better t slot it for defence (that is easier to get with bots storm)
Freezing Rain..yes, it DOES work fine with that slotting..but again..its like the best power in the set. SLotting 3 lady grey def debuffs gives you some good bonuses, and end reduction for the power itself, which you will want.
Hurricane with KB sets...god no. You want to be maxing the -to hit and end red. The kb is fine out of the box.
If your going to slot weave and manu with 2 gamblers for the tiny regen, you may as well at least 3 slot the set for the HP bonus too.
Tornado is one of the most situational powers in the game, and needing it more than once a mission, solo and teamed, is a very rare thing. It does NEED all that slotting to do what it does best..cause chaos. Slot the 2 pet rech uniques and call it finished.
Explosive blast is a crap power..and you just made it even crapper by using a kb set. Use a damage set.
2 slots in Lightning Storm is criminal. You want to max out its rech to have it ready nearly all the time.
Your Alpha. Perhaps you are confusing the end mod in Agility with End red? End mod will ONLY be working on your stamina (which is very underslotted too btw) and the drain in LS. Cardiac is a much better choice. The biggest hurdle with Storm is end use..and cardiac fixes that.
Cadiac also frees you up to take a better destiny (ageless +rech doesnt affect pets I think.)
Still havent got a kb IO that I can see.
Cant be bothered checking what those pet sets give in regard to bonus stats, but I recall most of them being junk. Prot Bots really benefit for a couple of Def boosts, and maybe a heal. I like slotting all the pets with 3 Dam/Acc hamis then spreading around the pet uniques etc.
  4. Noticed this myself..every time I solo on my beamer. Said so in a few other threads. It is LESS obvious when teaming (would think it would be more laggy, but no) but maybe that is just due to other people doing damage too.

How DARE they. In an MMO no less. Outrageous.
  6. Just to state the obvious..your doing it wrong. If you cant solo a PB at those lvls without dying..you need help.
  7. If it all comes down to luck and how people play...WHY was the only way to do a reliable rsf, for so long, the brute/corrs or mind dom way? That is like saying all those other runs with different team make ups contained unlucky and/or crap players.

Sure, luck helps. Team mates not being idiots help. But I would rather have 4 unlucky, just decent corrs than 4 brilliant stalkers anyday.

It still goes back to people having no idea how to build teams.

And to the person who said it was too much too expect the rsf 'tank' to be constantly using oranges....well, that IS how it used to be done. Collect tier 2 and 3 purples/ojs throughout the rsf, the have a number of the corrs standing below the brute, feeding him MORE as needed. So it really is not too much to ask that one person uses them.
  8. Really is worth switching, if only to give yourself more options. Some people will say the redside content isnt good, or they just like it. Just silly..missing half the game.
I am not 100% sure how it works, but I think you can switch sides now (your like lvl 38?), become a villain, do the first bit of your patron, then switch right back, with patrons still open.
Does take a few days though.

Actually, no, don't try it, because I have good news: You don't have to! Ain't it great?

Yeah, imagine that - I don't want to put up with a hassle. Chastising me for it would be very relevant if my complaint were that I want to run Trials but I can't, whereas my actual argument is that I want Incarnate powers but don't want to run Trials on pain of death. No, I won't get on Trials if I'm not willing to wait or put one together. Be still my beating heart. How will I ever live now that I can't run forced teaming content. Erm... Quite happily, come to think about it. I don't have to deal with a hassle and I don't have to leave the game with a headache. Yes, I'm missing out on so, so much.
What are you even saying...Honestly. You solo EVERY toon you have to 50? Then how did you ever arrive at this team size of 4 as being the best? Oh wait, so you actually TEAM, after you hit 50? Just thought I should point it out again..this is an MMO. Interesting you compare teaming to hitting yourself with a hammer. It must REALLY hurt to play with those other 3 people huh? Poor guy..maybe try some windows solitaire?

Yet..you want the incarnate powers, but the way we have to get them (again, in no way saying it is perfect) is not good enough for you. Thats fine, enjoy that solo path of shard>thread>salvage>some power in a month or so. Till we get a 'proper' solo path.

As to forced teaming..again..MMO. Multiplayer? If the implication that we should team, sometimes, isnt there..well...go play with yourself.

If smaller leagues damage larger ones, assuming the rewards are similar, that tells me people are greedy, and want to get shinies for less work. But hey..we KNOW that..look how common baf/slam are.

now we are pampered with zoning pets and aoe buffs.

    ahhh the good ole days......

oh yeah, get off my lawn.
I preferred when pets didnt zone with us. Going into oro and NOT ending up in amongst 10 demons? Not seeing pets dancing about near the black market?

As for the individual buffing..when that was announced, I also argued against it. My necro poison MM, the zombies die SO easy, the it was odd if I was not resummoning and rebuffing at least one zombie every few mobs. That, with the single, low cost pet upgrades, was fine. Oh, and you would not get the lag/gfx from the upgrades. But then, after the changes, if I wanted to rez one zombie and buff him, it would cost the same end as if I was buffing them all.

Said it before, say it again. Why can't we have the upgrades cost End proportionate to the number of henchmen they are working on, not just hit.

Great argument though..'pampered' with zoning pets and aoe buffs? Maybe some other MMs can comment...does ANYONE remember their pets bugging out like this, before the changes? Cause I sure don't.
  12. Yeah the def buffs you put in ProBots boost their bubbles, the ones they cast on each other and you. If you just wait a little bit after summoning and upgrading the bots, they will buff everything, as well as you. They are pretty good at keeping them up while doing missions too.

Combat jumping and hover DO stack, and the immob protection in CJ works well with hover.

Also, you dont need to group fly somewhere and re-summon. If you cross a map (with your pets lagging behind) assuming they havent died, they will just appear in the mission when you enter.

The chill mastery shield, puts you in blocks of ice, and you cant change the color. And yes, force = field mastery.

    New Powersets

Oh no..not the fire toss!! No other power sets in the game have fire slinging powers!

Well..besides..fire blast, fire melee, fire manip, fire assault, fire control, technically blazing arrow, bot attacks, oni attacks, thugs attacks..the list goes on.

Heaven forbid you turn your sound down cause an SG mate wants to play with demons.
  15. Step 1: Make SURE you are wearing pants.
Step 2: Take OFF pants, being careful not to fall over.
Step 3: Take pants in hands, gripping each side of the waist.
Step 4: Put pants on head.

You have now made a petless MM, well done!
  16. Similar thing happened to a friend and his sg on Virtue. Guy ended up cleaning out billions worth of IOs. Yes, they should be more careful, but considering this IS an MMO, and the devs seem to be dead set against as ever having single player Bases, wtf? So we cant have single bases, and we are meant to TRUST some people enough to..you know..form a super group with them, yet..if on of those people suddenly goes a bit nuts, the devs just say..tough? Awesome.

Note..I have petitioned and had Purple IOs returned, that I have accidently deleted due to lag and crashing. If they can 'give' those things back, after a 5 minute check to be sure I actually HAD said IO...WHY can't they give people back the contents of their bases?

I usually don't have many bad PuG stories, but this one was so special I though I should share. What do you think about using Ion on civilians? Was he farming them? He chose the right judgement then. Though maybe he could have gotten more if he had using Pryonic or Vorpal or Void, as the chain may have ended prematurely.

I propose that any player that kills 30 or more civilians should get a badge.

"Griefer" - You are the best at griefing. You griefed an entire incarnate trial into failure.

"Griefer" would give an accolade that stops the use of the team-up teleporter.

Either that, or make a very special badge called "Idiot", displayed in size 70 font, that cannot be unequipped. Though I guess badgers would still try and get it, so that may actually be a horrible idea.
Had a very similar thing in the first few days after TPN hit. I remember one league, and this guy was either an idiot, literally handicapped, a new player, or trolling. After the leader said (in PD, before we ever began) not to use Aoe's or pets outside, he constantly kept ask for more details. Something like..

    No Aoes outside right?
    No aoes, none at all!
    And..no pets either?
    No pets either!
So, can I use my lore pets?
    NO!
What about my voltaic senty? It is a primary power, not a pet.
    NO pets, of any kind.

At this point I was getting annoyed, as he was clogging up the league chat with his idiotic questions. But there was more!

No aoes right? But, can I use my epic cones?
NO! Since when are cones not aoes genius?

And I am pretty sure after allll this, he was another person who used Ion, as soon as we got into the trial.
  18. Looks pretty good for a first (ish?) attempt. Most of the slotting that isnt the best, will come with a better understand of what powers are doing. Checking their detailed info really helps.

Such as slotting hover with 2 defence buffs, when the difference will be tiny at best..a lot of better spots to but slots.

A caution about group fly..99% of people HATE it. Totally hate it, and will scream at you to turn it off, if it so much as gets them for a second. Solo it it fine, but I'd be careful on teams.

Also, in case you just forget, be sure to slot your inherent fitness powers..especially Swift with fly speed, since you are going that route.

I would also maybe skip Share Pain. The damage buff means nothing to you (until/if you get personal attacks) and between bots bubbles, prot bot healing, and your other 2 heals..you shouldn't really need it.

For epic powers..well, a resist based shield stacks nicely with World of Pain, but general, defence based ones help more. Chill mastery is good for def..something like Force for resists. Both have a average blast attack too.

If I'm able to stack maybe five on them at a time, they get stopped, but I can't manage to stop them for more than a fraction of the second every once in a while.

I have immob'd all those NPCs listed, as ArchVillain classes, using the web envelope power from patron pools. I am pretty sure that has a MUCH longer rech than dev/webnade.

As another suggestion..someone mentioned giving snipes the upcoming AS treatment. I can see this working well. Sets like elec could really benefit from a 3rd ST blast. Also, I HATE that to actually get max damage from a snipe, as make sure it drops the minions/lts, you have to use Aim/Bu before hand (unless its AR, then you just get robbed), which, combined with the 3ish second activation time, means you end up 'wasting' a lot of your damage buff. Especially if you use snipe at range, then have to move closer to use additional attacks.

How about increasing the damage on snipes, when they are used AS snipes? Maybe a almost certain kill on a +1 Lt. But change the powers somehow so they do NOT get effected by aim/bu. Think about it..if you are taking the time to snipe something..how can you 'aim' even more? The aiming goes hand in hand with such a power. Combined with the ideas about having snipes function like 'AS Mk Whatever it is' If you have aim/bu active, you can NOT use the long, max damage snipe. If you do, it reverts to teh quicker, moderate damage, not interrupt snipe.

Yes..who can play a non Melee build who is NOT soft capped these days. Crazy notion! It is a miracle the game ever had people playing the other ATs, back before IOs. Also, maybe understand what works for Doms...rech is better than anything else.

Look, there is no other area of the game in which mission failure is the norm the first time through it. I can't remember the last time I failed a mission, period, much less failed it for lack of knowing what to do to succeed. The Incarnate trials are unique in this respect. There is virtually 0% success rate amongst first-time raiders for any given trial. This is not all due to lack of coordination, or lack of experience with the game in general. It is primarily due to the trials not making it clear what is about to happen, what needs to be done about it, and with clues as to how to accomplish those goals effectively. This is a 180-degree flip in terms of content design philosophy, and I have not yet heard a single convincing argument in favor of it.
Again, I AGREE that most of the trails do not have enough instructions...for a good portion of general players. But where do you draw the line? DO the devs spoon feed us every section, with big flashing arrows and stuff? Then you know people will start moaning that we dont seem to have any freedom, within the constraints of the objectives!

I was talking with a friend before, about how she failed a ton of trails when they first came out. And I did the same with tpn/mom. I think that is a..GOOD thing. Think about it. Do we want every new trail (and TF to a lesser extent) to be simple from the word GO, with little challenge? Again, I am NOT saying teh trails cant use some better instructions..but if say, when we get it, the Cole Trial comes out and the first random pug team on Live finishes it without a hitch..I call THAT a failure.

Just was running a BAF on virtue. Before we went in, someone used the winter event temp snow storm power. Then when the cutscene started, it was snowing INSIDE the building! Awesome stuff..try it!

I'd love to see other little things like thing find their way into cutscenes during Events. Maybe Mother with a stocking hat? Antimatter with a string of bells around his next? Marauder with a big candycane sticking out his pocket?

Going to see if it works in some of the other ones!

Although I agree with a lot of the comments in this thread, such as the trails lacking 'good' instructions etc..the idea of ANY of the trials somehow requiring a dozen runs JUST to work out whats going on is a load of crap. Maybe if you are an idiot and just jugged of the spot for the previous 11 runs at it.

As much as I agree that the temp powers in LAm are annoying, with people failing to use them..let us be honest. Is it HARD? No. People are just clueless, first timers, or stupid. Anything else and it is quite simple to work out that when a text pop up shows on your screens, you have a temp power. No to mention the team leader or whoever TALKING about temps.

When TPN and MoM came out, I did about 5 of each in the first day. And shock horror, we failed all BUT 2. The last 2. So 12 runs..again, is not realistic. Maybe if it is 12 runs with a 100% new league each time?

And to the OP..you failed one of the newest tasks in the game, on your first try? Man, that has NEVER happened before? Right? So now you hate it...yet..if you won, it would suddenly have been great. How about a few more attempts?

Okay, maybe not, but as it is it's a fast, half-powered, crashless nuke, particularly in Traps. Poison Trap + Trip Mine is beautifully strong and will break a spawn, and if there was no interrupt I'd probably just mow through spawns without even needing my pets. As it is, if I get interrupted more than twice when trying to place a Trip Mine midcombat, that's a signal to me that I need to switch tactics. Otherwise 90% of my approach to combat would be "blow it up until it goes away."

But if the interrupt does go away I certainly won't object.
This is pretty true..to IT on trip mine would be crazy good. I think another problem with teh interuptable powers, is how heavily they favour having Defence compared to Resists, or neither. Traps at least gets FFG to provide some dev, but no blaster primary 'gives' defence. AT least the snipes can be used at a big range, before stuff starts to hit you.

Maybe a new mechanic such as..if the damage taken is under X threshold, you will not be interupted. Just like a mozzy bite would not stop you driving a car (or whatever) in the same way as being hit by a log would.

Oh and another thing..yes, NPCs do cheat a lot, but how can something with snow storm, darkest night and standing in a tar patch..manage to get a snipe off?
