Noted both, and ty for the help! Like I said, I have no idea what I'm doing...but let me elaborate on two points. By "no idea" what I mean is, I'm willing to throw two characters out there with a general idea and tell you to have fun. I don't expect a sketch or anything of the sort because I know how much work art is. I'm always amazed watching other people work, I just can't draw a straight line... Anyhow, if you can say, "I have an idea", generally that's it. I'm a very trusting person that way, mostly because I can't picture things in my head... xD And I've gotten good results from doing that on a few roleplaying sites. And the deadline is -not- the 26th, the deadline is "when you think you can have it done by".

I will take your advice on looking at different styles and such, though.

And the reason I chose the suit is because his armor is so darn complicated and looks impossible to draw.

Tyvm, but I was hoping more along the lines of someone would have an idea to offer me, since I know almost nothing about art in general.

By idea, I mean some kind of picture of what such a piece would look like in their head from reading my description.

I'd like to get as many people to choose from as possible, if I didn't make that clear before. ^_^ And the deadline won't be July 26th, it'll be decided between myself and the artist I choose.

I wouldn't know; I'm new to this whole section of the boards. Pop me a pm with some past examples of your work if you're interested.

I'm looking for an artist to do a piece for Steampunk Charlie's birthday (7/26/08). It wouldn't have to be a hugely intricate thing, I was thinking something along the lines of Charlie in his casual outfit (the brown suit, not the armor; I have posted screenies below) either relaxing in the base or else explaining something to his faithful sidekick (again, screenies below). I would be willing to discuss payment in some form via private messages-I will not discuss that publicly-and also other details of the piece. If you'd be interested in helping me out, let me know.
