[ QUOTE ]
The man turned back to the woman. "By the way, name's Sam. Sam Winston. What's yours?" The man calmly stated, even though his eyes were tired.
[/ QUOTE ]
"I'm Akemi," she grinned. "Just Akemi, nothing else...ah, hello there!" she hailed the woman in the window. "You don't have to leave...but it would be easier to talk to you if we didn't have to tilt our heads so far back. There really are heroes everywhere here...I thought the reports were exaggerated."
[ QUOTE ]
"Or the wrong time, maybe", she mused to herself. "Would you rather I just left? Because I can if you want me to."
[/ QUOTE ]
She stooped as the bag split and the groceries spilled again and frowned. "I'm afraid your milk may be a lost cause, Mr. Winston. It's got a leak. I'll be happy to help you carry the rest of your groceries if you need help-my backpack is pretty much empty, and I don't think it'll split." -
"Oh man, that would totally suck!" Akemi Ai agreed quickly. "I didn't even think about that. I was too busy talking to those bozos across the street. Here, let me help you with those." She bent to help gather his groceries, then knelt as wolf whistles erupted from the group of Outcasts across the street, shooting them a glare over her shoulder. "You would think with all the times these punks get arrested they'd go get a job or something...the unemployment rate here must be sky high. No pun intended, of course." She adjusted the small drawstring satchel she was carrying over one shoulder, then stood as they finished putting all of the spilled items back into the bags. "None of your stuff got ruined or anything, did it?"
((OOC: Totally forgot to add this in the first post-Akemi is is 19, about 5'5", has purple hair in pigtails, and wears a black midriff t-shirt, a bright green plaid skirt, black and hot pink striped tights, and black stiletto combat boots.)) -
Next chapter of Shift is up. *nodnod*
Start putting your seatbelts on...now. -
((OOC: What do the streets of Paragon look like through the eyes of it's people? You tell me. Anyone can join, use anyplace in the city you'd like, and feel free to borrow NPC's on a whim. There is no set story here, just a fun little question I thought perhaps I might get an answer to. ^_^))
A slim female figure danced down the sidewalk from the Yellow Line to Icon, purple pigtails bouncing as she went. She was singing softly to the music blasting through her headphones-an odd contrast; she didn't care if people saw her dancing, but didn't want people to hear her sing? She slipped to one side to allow another pedestrian to pass, then twirled back into the middle of the sidewalk.
"Hey! Step off, girlie!" an Outcast shouted as she got too close to a threesome of gang members. She stopped and glared at him from the other side of the road. "I'm not bothering you, frostface! Mind your own!" She dodged a bolt of ice, straightened her bright green plaid skirt, and thumbed her nose at the offending villain, then spun on her heel to walk away-and smacked right into another pedestrian.
"Oops! Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" she blurted out, helping them to their feet. "Are you okay?"

Name: Akemi (last name undisclosed at this time)
Registered as: Akemi Ai
Nicknames: Ai-chan, AA
Akemi was born in America to Asian-American parents who were, let's say, a little free-spirited. They named her Akemi, "bright", because of their high hopes for her future. She became interested in martial arts at the age of four and has been studying ever since. She is adept with most blades and trains daily to retain her agility and speed.
She always wanted to become a ninja someday, but when she discovered that this was nearly impossible, she decided to go with the next best thing and become a Hero in Paragon City. Arriving in Atlas Park once she had registered, she met Kult and Soccer Girl and joined their super group, the Mean Girls. She chose Ai, "love", as her hero surname just because it sounded cool.
Akemi Ai does not speak Japanese beyond a few words she's picked up mostly on accident, but she is a rabid anime fan, and frequently dyes her hair colors she sees on her favorite shows. Her hair has been bubblegum pink, aqua, green, and now purple. She is of medium height and slim build, wears her hair in pigtails to keep it out of her face, and prefers to mix patterns and colors as often as possible in her clothing.
Akemi Ai is still new to the hero scene. What adventures await her in Paragon City? Who knows? -
That comic was obviously about the Positron Task Force. *nodnod*
Remember kids, friends don't let friends do Posi!
Also, muchas gracias to Vorac for correcting my link. It was current when I wrote the article, I swear! -
S:ACT is OVAH! Charlie, hurry up and post the next part!
-
What's the occasion for the extra-huge issue? Not that I didn't enjoy it, I'm just curious as to why it was double sized.
-
I love the new invuln! My tank actually DOES tank now!
As for the PvP changes, haven't tested 'em yet. We'll see! -
Chapter nine of S:ACT has been up for a while now but I forgot to say anything. ^_^;

For the love of God, don't assume that just because a player plays an anthro toon (cat- and bunny girls, for example) they are:
-male
-a furry
-gay (or "[censored]")
-female and looking for attention
-wanting your lewd comments and bizarre innuendos
And when I and my friends choose to roleplay or PvP on a generally non-RP or non-PvP server, don't tell us "Go to [server], n00b!" We pay for the game just like everybody else, and we're entitled to enjoy it in our own way, just like everybody else, as long as we aren't griefing anyone. -
Status Reports
Star Strider Force
Name: Akemi Ai
Global Contact: @ Kyo-chan
Reporting on Assignment: Rikti Incursion, Steel Canyon, 11/18/08, approx. 02:00
Level of Alien Threat: Medium
Report Details:
Apparently a girl can't even head to Icon safely any more. I mean, ever since I got to this city, these Rikti alien things have been attacking at random. I was just about at Icon when I heard a call for help from a fellow hero being attacked a short way down the road, so I rushed down to help him out. We nearly had those two Rikti down, and a dropship diverted from its path and dumped a whole load more on us! Needless to say, we both ended up in the hospital. Man, all I wanted to do was change my costume!
Analysis of Current Situation:
What's up with the dropship changing path en route to wherever it was going? We need to be able to plot the invasions further ahead of time. I mean, there has to be some way to know they're coming before the war walls drop, right? The more time we have to prepare before an invasion, the better off we'll be.
Suggestion of Action:
We need to do more research into the timing of the attacks. Maybe they wait a certain amount of time between each attack, or maybe it's only in certain zones. Some areas seem to get hit more often than others. -
Chapter Eight of Sidekick: A Catgirl's Tale is up.
We have now reached the point of the whole story and brought it full-circle back to the Saga. -
