I'm glad! ^_^
We're only 5 TFs in (out of 19) and already I'm thinking if people continue to enjoy it, I may cycle back and start these over again from Positron once we've run through them all. -
I vote Alex...I'm pretty sure I've seen the Mean Girls do that to unsuspecting noobs on Protector, lol.
-
Task Force Titanium completed the Citadel TF in 2:10:15, and this week's cool name made up for last week's lame one.
Next week, the Hess TF, which I don't think I have ever done! D'oh! -

Then again, if I'm in a TF fighting an AV and someone's standing next to me spamming Healing Aura, I will probably be exceedingly grateful.
[/ QUOTE ]I'd be more satisfied if they were using their controls and/or blasts to help damage the AV and make the battle go faster, and using the heal in a more targeted manner, when it's needed. :P

My current favorite toon is squishable, so I'm biased...but I think you get my point. -

Demote him to level 1, set base entry permissions to level 2 and up.
I'm pretty sure that's how it's done. -

I first dinged 50 on an ITF.

Me too! It felt so epic. -
That is sheer LOL.
I'm glad it happened to you and not me. I wouldn't think it was nearly as funny. -
This kept happening to my team while we were trying to run the Midnighter's Club arc. We eventually had to give up because it took us almost half an hour to even get into the same instance of the first mission, and when we did, everything spawned at +4 to our highest teammate (we were all set to Heroic). We all bugged it and I haven't experienced anything else like it since, but definitely bug it if it happens again, and also check on global chat channels to see if it's happening to anyone else on the server. When our problem happened, it was happening to 4 or 5 people in my globals as well.
EDIT:
For clarification, I suggest asking people not on your team if they're experiencing the same problem, because if they are, you can reassure customer support that no, it is not your computer that is borked, because the problem is not just on your end. This does not mean they can fix the problem but it will at least make sure it gets reported to the right people (we hope). -
I could see this as useful outside of missions, but not in missions.
I mean, if I'm standing under Atlas hanging out with my friends and someone is standing next to me spamming Healing Aura, yeah, I can ask them to quit...but in most cases that leads to me taking extra time out to say "Spamming healing Aura under Atlas doesn't do anyone any good. Since we're not taking any damage, you actually aren't healing anything, and it will not get you a badge or anything else. It's just annoying. Please quit."
Then again, if I'm in a TF fighting an AV and someone's standing next to me spamming Healing Aura, I will probably be exceedingly grateful.
So...sorta signed. -

I've found one of the best ways to recruit for my SG is to spend a little time every evening standing under Atlas answering questions. Usually, the people I talk to will ask me if they can add me to their friends list, at which point I'll say something like "Sure, and if you ever need/want a SG, let me know. We'd be happy to have you!" Letting people know they're welcome and being polite and personable helps a lot.
Also, our SG has a rule that you must team with SGmates as often as you are able to and up for it. This has led to most of our members being online more often on the toons in the SG, because they're not just playing-they're playing with their friends. We also explain the sidekicking/exemplaring system early on, which makes it more likely for people to team up.
Running events is a great way to stay active, but mostly it boils down to the people. You have to like them and be willing to become friends with them and to help them become friends with each other. -
KJSR.net has been bringing you top-quality entertainment for the last 10 months. In fact, you love us so much, weve had to move to a larger server! And, as weve grown, the stations expenses have grown as well.
What started out as a hobby with minimal cost has blossomed into a full-time experience, with costs to match. Several of our listeners have been gracious enough to donate to the station, which has helped immensely. But, we still need funding. So, instead of begging for more donations, we have decided to offer our listeners something tangible. Hence, our new silent auction.
Heres how it works:
At 9pm Eastern time, join us in our Live Chat room. Well be announcing several personal items that the DJs have offered up for the event. As each item is offered, you may place a silent bid on it.
The person with the highest bid will be announced on the air during DJ Rastafari Mans Smoking Lounge show, as well as in the Live Chat room.
Several items representing each DJs individual tastes and personalities are being offered, and-finally!-I'm able to give you a few little teasers.
A few of the items on the auction block will be a real-life version of the Chocolate Bikini, Pink's Super-Bra (source of her superpowers), Vorac's Issue 1 CoH Comic Book (which is autographed by the devs), and Charlie's teacup and saucer. Personal items provided by the DJs to be auctioned off are autographed.
Photos and descriptions of each item will be provided on the website here as they are announced in the Live Chat.
Hope to see you there! -
Thank you, Badge.
I will bring you robots (and an emp)! -
Not to rez this thread or anything...but wow.
I'm glad to see my article got people thinking about the ways in which CoH has changed their lives.
Now, next time I say "send me your stories"...I'll just raid this thread first. :P -

I think I probably spend more time answering questions than doing anything else in the game lately. I've actually made a habit of grabbing up new players that I meet in Atlas and inviting them to my SG, running the Hollows arcs with them, buying them Halloween salvage and running them to Croatoa and the tailor, and just basically teaching them some of the "unwritten" stuff that's just not explained. It's given me a new perspective on the game and a new reason to play. Now when I get bored, I grab my emp, fly around Atlas, buff lowbie players and answer questions.
The best part is when someone asks you what they can do in return, I think. I've settled for simply saying "Someday, when you get a chance...pass it on." -
Now everyone gets to have fun!
...well, except the bunnies, but there are more than enough of them in the world, so... -

Some details on this? When, which respec, what time, any specific ATs?
It's hard to get people's attention unless you give them something to work with. -
