We need one more! This is tonight at 8 pm EST! -
Avast anitvirus is also very good. You can find it here. The free version is all you need-it's what we use for the station's computers and for our home network, and it's wonderfully unintrusive.

Thanks, T! Incidentally, are you the REAL Major T, or are you Spartacus too?
-
Yeah, it's kind of a stupid system, especially if the mods are expecting people to use it "responsibly". Because, you know, people don't act like little kids when they know they're anonymous on the internet. Ever. And they don't +rep people they like and -rep people they don't like just because they can, instead of based on the content and usefulness of their posts.
Because that would be (gasp!) mature! And this is the internet, dammit, we don't need no stinkin' maturity! -
And I can fill in a Defender for the Pentad as well.

Quote:Trying to steal my regulars, Sam? :PCome on Demon Shell and Blazing Blue, TfT allows you time to take a few minutes for this, it isn't as if this will take all night. And Heaven knows I have helped out on plenty of your TFs in the past...
Sam Granite - The Liberty League
You know, we're only running the Cavern of Transcendence this week, so it won't take very long. If you moved the time back an hour, to 10 pm, most of us could probably make it. -
Quote:Yep. And here's a few more:2. People that chat incessantly, about ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!. STFUalready! Kyo will know one of those instances.
People who feel entitled to a TP, rez, buff, etc. Just because I CAN TP you, rez you, buff you...doesn't mean I HAVE to and doesn't mean I'm not in the middle of helping the rest of the team, the ones who didn't decide to go all kamikaze and run off on their own.
Also, people who send a tell asking to join the team, then try to take over a group that's been running together as a team for months. We know what we're doing. Try not to get lost. If you don't have the star, if it isn't your mission, and if you're not the tank-and especially if you have nothing important to contribute outside of "LOL u guys shud listen 2 me!"-shush or go find another team.
People who can't follow directions. If the tank says "Wait here and I'll herd them up so we can AoE them to death," then for crying out loud WAIT. And when he or she DOES get them all herded up, don't KB them all over the damn place before we get control down.
People who run off on their own, get killed, and then demand to know where the rest of the team is. The answer is "following the tank", usually.
People with no sense of humor...at all. The people who don't talk to the rest of the team, think no one should be enjoying themselves in a mission, don't contribute to the general atmosphere of having fun, and think we're crazy for occasionally getting ourselves killed in weird ways for the hell of it. Generally, people who are just plain no fun. This is probably my biggest pet peeve-anything else I can deal with or laugh off or just ask them to stop, but this is just hardwired into some peoples' personalities.
It's just a game. -

Quote:From this page on ParagonWiki. I'm not positive, as I haven't tested this myself, but I would guess that what you're experiencing is a bug, and here's why:
Super Sidekicking
When playing on a team all players will be automatically Sidekicked or Exemplared to the level of the mission owner. Sidekicking will no longer have a range restriction. Exemplaring will no longer prevent experience gain, unless the player selects an option for increased inf rewards instead of experience[5]. Included with this is a removal of the level restrictions on all hazard zones except for for the Hamidon zones and PvP zones[6].
You're playing a level 48 character, exemplared down to level 5. With the regular Super Sidekicking enabled (gaining exp, regular inf) you're making 1,000-11,000 inf from enemies you are fighting as a level 5.
Now, without changing anything else but the SSK settings (not gaining exp, double inf), and still fighting your enemies as a level 5, and with the enemies conning the same, you're making 200-800 inf, less than you were making before.
Even if the double inf feature was intended to be double inf for the level you are exemplared to, you should still be earning double what you were when you were exemplared to the same level with exp gain on. Thus, if you were gaining 1,000 inf from a minion you defeated while you were exemplared to level 5 with exp on, you should still earn 2,000 inf from a minion you defeated with exp off and double inf gain on.
Bottom line: I'd bug it. At least a GM could tell you if it was working as intended, and if it IS working as intended, that's a ripoff. -
Quote:Was that you on my team? I was Tamsyn Blackthorn, but I gave Mister Subtle the star...because we could see him easier. xDDLast night (9-24-09) there were so many peeps in RWZ that when i died i couldnt get back because the zone was full.
i messed up by going to my base instead of the hosp.
just wanted to thank my team for not booting me as i tried in vain to re enter. So, my apologies, and i hope u got th'Phat Loot you kids are always talking about.
its a good sign that there were so many toons in zone.
PS never go to the base! -
Heroside:
Blaster: Asylym as himself
Controller: Steampunk Charlie as Granny Getcha (as long as I'm not chasing the aggro)
Defender: Myself as Snap Play
Scrapper: Delrune as Mionas
Tank: Tsuki Sumarasu as Yuki Miko
Add any other three Teamsters/DJs, stir well, and we have ourselves one very entertaining night! -

Well, we need 8 people to run it, period. I can stealth/tp for this one, so that, at least, is not an issue.

I'm actually planning on building a snowball fight room in my base for the Winter Event.
Should be interesting!

Well said, Sapphire! <applauds> 100% agreed!
Sometimes I think we get caught up in "I want this, I want that" here on the forums, and forget the people behind the scenes working to make things happen for us. Thank you, dev team, for all the hard work you do, for listening to us, and for still loving us even when we're mean to you.
Also, whatever happened to Sunstorm? Base building forums miss him, give him back please. -
