Update in the Teamsters thread. I've always considered Ali and Mio to be kinda...speshul.

Ali came to a screeching halt in the workshop of the Teamsters base, just in time to avoid crashing into a short but curvy brunette. "Yikes! Sorry...uh...hey, do I know you? You look kinda familiar..."

"Er..." the girl said, turning and fidgeting nervously. "No...ah...no, you don't know me...I'm...uh, new! Yeah, I'm new."

"Oh. Cool. I'm Ali. I'd stop to talk but Uncle called and said Mio is sick so I came right over to make sure he's okay! Poor guy..."

The tall scrapper started to dash off again, but the shorter girl blocked her way. "Wait! Uh...he's not here! Right, he's not here right now. he went out someplace."

Concerned, Ali stared at her. "But he's sick! He shouldn't be out doing things if he's sick!"

"I'm sure he'll be fine..." the girl said, attempting to placate her.

"Well, I'll just call his comm and make sure." Ali pulled out her communicator, dialing the private extension used by Mionas, and waited, biting her lip anxiously. Puzzled, she stared at the new girl as the comm in her back pocket rang. "What a weird coincidence...aren't you going to answer that?"

"Oh, uh, I'm sure whoever it is can wait..."

The ringing stopped as Ali hit Mionas' voicemail, and, frustrated, she dialed again, the same thing happening.

She stared at the girl, who nervously stared at the ceiling.

"...Mio?"

"...yep..."

"Ohmigosh, what happened?!"

"Uh...well...I left some energy drinks in WRider's fridge, and I went back to grab what I thought was one of them, but it was his serum for swapping gender, and then for some reason the antiserum doesn't work...so...I'm kinda hoping it'll wear off, maybe..." Mia shifted her weight, hoping that Ali wasn't about to freak out.

Fortunately, she wasn't. "Well, are you okay? I mean other than being a girl?"

Caught by surprise, she nodded. "Uh...yeah..."

Impulsively, Ali grabbed her in a bear hug. "I'm so glad! I was so worried when Uncle told me you were sick!"

"You're...uh...not mad?"

"No! Well, okay, you shouldn't lie to me, Mio, I mean, I thought we were friends and all, but other than that...no, I'm just really glad you're okay!"

"Oh...uh...good to hear, Ali." Mia grinned shyly. "Good to hear."

I was actually planning on running this on Thursday with the Teamsters. >.> Race ya? xD

Alrighty then. TfT this week is canceled due to the Tanker Tuesday Tour, will resume next week for the Eden Trial as planned. We might actually get enough people to divvy up into two teams, which would be way cool.

On Thursday October 29th at 9 pm EST the Teamsters will be having a Halloween party and costume contest in base! All are welcome to attend and enjoy and we encourage you to dress your heroes up in their Halloween best to win some prizes!

Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

Best Male Costume
Best Female Costume
Best Couple Costume

plus others which will be decided at the time of the contests. This post will be edited to reflect the prize amounts before the contests. Contests will be judged by Teamsters members. Teamsters members and their alts will not be eligible to win, however, coalition members are both welcome and encouraged to participate! Teamsters members will be standing by to invite players to the base from 15 minutes before the contest on, and all you need to do to get an invite is message @DJKyo before the contest starts.

We are also hoping to get some Halloween event teams going after the costume contest, so stick around if you're interested in teaming up to participate!

Due to the Tanker Tuesday Tour coming around on the 20th, we may postpone this for another week, which will give people a chance to get some characters in the 39-41 range. Anyone have a serious objection to this?

Oh, I dunno, it could be a good reason to miss TfT. Plus we have a break coming around-the Eden Trial, then the LGTF, then we're back at Posi.

I might even be willing to dredge Kyo up out of my character list for something like this.

If enough people want to do this instead of TfT we can postpone the Eden Trial til next week, but since this is coming up, let me know!

Release Date for the U.S. is November 13 2009, according to the IMDB main entry for the movie.

Check out this movie-we will be! The movie is called "Pirate Radio: The Boat That Rocked" and the story sounds AWFULLY familiar. Best quote ever?

Holy crap, this one's popular. We might have to do it twice!

I use it and so do most of the DJs, although I was not intending it to become the "official" means of communicating on TfT since it's clearer to have all the instructions written out in Team chat anyhow and we don't use it every week. We do use it frequently on SG TFs though. You can download it here (it's free and safe) and you will need a microphone and speakers or a headset.

Also, OD, surprisingly enough, almost all (all but for one) of my neg rep comes from this thread. Usually, though, people are at least brave enough to sign their neg rep, which makes me think this person is just being petty. Unfortunately, their efforts have done nothing so far except make me wonder why their life is so sad that they feel the need to put someone else's efforts to better the game community down anonymously.

Yep, saw that earlier, so it's going to be an interesting time trying to find people.

Didn't really worry about any of my other toons. Did come up with some nice rolls though, including 2 Numina's +Regen/+recovery and a LotG +Rech.

There is also the Teamsters global channel, which is open to all players who are LFT whether you're a Teamster or not. We don't chatter much in it, but we do call out events such as TFs and GM hunts. To join, type /chan_join Teamsters in your entry field.

Having discussed this with the other leaders, the Teamsters are bowing out.

I actually sent in 2 petitions on the towers, one right before we started on the AVs and one right after. That was the only bug we encountered all weekend though, so it was pretty cool.

Final 50 count (iirc): Tamsyn Blackthorn, Mionas, Donovan Cosantoir, Storm Rose, SHUUT, and Corinna. 5/6 of those are Teamsters (and SHUUT is an honorary Teamster since he runs with us so freaking much). Nice work all!

Also, I vote Rebel as the MVP of the ITF. We nearly gave up, but he made us go back and give it one more go (with feeling!) and we pulled it off. Nice work there.
