GG, have you ever read a play called Inherit the Wind?
You strongly remind me of one of the characters. -
Dazzy and Toxic-
If you need inf, prizes, volunteers, whatever, let me know, and I'll try to get my crew involved. You know how to reach me. -
Tell me where to send it and you've got 100 mil of my inf.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and I'll judge for costume/bio contests as well. -
Welcome Toxic! Everything Red and BB said, and a note-we do host events weekly on this server; there's an events calendar floating around someplace, and you can always find the list in the Protector Vigilance global channel's MOTD.

I was in the CC, and I have to say, I was pretty disappointed too. I felt like the judges hardly looked at anyone's costumes and like they knew who they were going to choose before we even showed up, let alone before the semi-finals.
Yeah, there were only eight female characters on the platform, but there were two others floating around the D, and no one tried to chivvy them onto the platform or let them know what was going on at all. The judges saw there were eight women and went "okay, there are eight of you, you're all in the semifinals!" and never looked at our costumes before the powers segment.
All four judges looked at my costume for a grand total of about five seconds, after I worked on the concept, costume, and bio for the past month. The powers segment where we were supposed to get a minute each? Some of us got thirty seconds, some got a minute and fifteen seconds. I have loved doing this event in the past and I have enjoyed it, and I have always cheered for the winners. However, this year, I felt that no one was really given a fair chance to shine, and the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth.
At the end of the event, the winners were announced in the Arena chat only and not in Pocket D or anywhere else, and no runners-up were announced. It was really confusing and disappointing to me to basically hear "Okay, these are the two winners, bye everyone!"
I've been running events since I joined the game, and I'm sad to say you guys really dropped the ball on this one. It's not hard to run a costume contest where people feel like their work is appreciated and enjoyed. I doubt I'll be returning next year or at all if this is how things are going to be run.
And by the way-it's PERC's event and it's PERC's job to promote it, not ours.
Way to show the playerbase how much you guys care about us by being outright rude when we come to you with our concerns. -

I'd change my avatar AND my sig for some Ocho love...

Yeah, they can access Pocket D. Use the VIP teleporter or go through Studio 55.
Incidentally, you get your Praetorian back *out* of Pocket D by going through a manhole behind one of the ramps. >.> -
I cast my vote for ninjas and pirates. Arr, unite under one banner to defeat the common foe!
-
Bring it on, Justice. We'll be ready.
Sounds like fun!

Female thugs, mercs, whatever. Female mastermind minions. Even if it's randomized like the Illusionist decoys, even if people are dumb and have to be reported for using them "inappropriately", we need them. It's not fair that MMs can *only* have male henchmen.
There's a "you are getting sleeeepy...veeeeerry sleeeeeeepy..." animation in Illusion Control. Pretty sure it's Deceive. Please please please can we get a less campy version of this?
And ditto on being able to have alternate-hand attacks in general. What if I want a toon who is left-handed?
Also, weapons scaling OR the ability to pick smaller weapons. My female toons often have to deal with their weapons clipping through their arms, esp. with Assault Rifle, because the smallest weapon I could find is still enormous for a 5'6" woman-and that's on the TALL end of my characters. My 4-foot tall toons look ridiculous.
Edit: For Fire Sword, Fire Sword Circle, etc., I think that maybe a punch with the fist enveloped in fire, ice, etc. and trailing that element is an awesome idea. I don't know who suggested it first but that. Definitely that. The Circle ones could be a a spinning ground punch thing and then the regular Sword ones could be just a regular punch. -
Just a thought I had.
You know how sometimes it takes an hour or more to get your first tip of the day? Well, how about this...
For a low price (say, 100 inf), you buy a Newspaper from a Newsie. What you get from this is one random tip. You can only do it once per day.
I'm sure someone will have objections, but I think this would make doing tip missions a lot more fun, and cut out a lot of the boring streetsweeping you sometimes have to do to get a tip. People who don't like it don't necessarily have to use it, and it doesn't really give any discernible advantage to people who do choose to use it. Plus, it gives some nifty functionality to the Newsies other than yelling about old news (like Pocket D opening) and giving out new information (like Villains coming to Paragon and vice versa) in NPC chatter. -
My grandmother had a kidney transplant roughly 7 years ago and her body is now rejecting it. Treatments aren't working, so she's going to have to go back on dialysis and back on the transplant list. The chances of her getting a second transplant that actually works are very, very slim. There are only about 12,000 transplants a year-and there are almost 90,000 people on the waiting list for a transplant. Over 3,000 people a year die on the waiting list.
I'm moving back to NY sometime before Christmas to help her and my grandfather. Please keep them in your thoughts-they need all the good vibes they can get right now.
And please, please, if you haven't already-there's a box on the back of your driver's license that you can check off to indicate that should anything happen to you, you want to be an organ donor. Check that box off, sign your card, and tell your family your intentions-you could save so many lives and improve so many more. -
Okay, so explain these for me.
Firstly: Steampunk Charlie paid up his account on September 5th. Today it says his account has been canceled for nonpayment and to contact support. He can't contact support because he has no account, and it won't let him. How is he supposed to contact support like it's telling him to, when support is telling him he needs an account to contact support?
Secondly: I had a card on file with the NCSoft store. I've used it before with no problems. Went to use it today? No card on file, no way to put it on file without buying more game time. If I buy more game time now, I can't afford to buy what I wanted from the store anyhow. How/why did my card get taken off file without my consent? Why is there no easy way to put a card *on* file when you make any purchase, not just game time? -
Quote:And having to ask questions like "Why do you want to play with the new server?" and getting answers like "Because. I'm not telling you!"Yeah, it's not the mines we have to worry about. It's being enslaved DJs on Skynet radio. Trust me on this.
Seriously, folks, this isn't new. It's just the first time it's been reported from a well-funded establishment. -
Best of wishes to you and your family, and especially your son, Boricua! May he heal at least twice as fast as the doctors say!
-
I am not looking forward to respeccing most of my characters...luckily, I tend to stick with just 12 at a time. >.>;
-
Is there, perhaps, more? >.>
<.<
...please? <offers cookie> -
The mapserver's going on and off like a yo-yo and our global channels are down. Yay for being cut off from the rest of the game? Someone feed our hamsters, quick!
-
Hopefully we'll be able to catch everyone at the Meet & Greet...we're leaving tomorrow morning at 7, and I still have to:
Dye my hair
Pack
Polish my boots
Help sew the rest of my costume
Brush my ears and tail (no, really; they're super dusty and gross from hanging up for 2+ years)
Decorate and pack the Swag Bag (we're giving away KJSR.net goodies)
and probably a few more things I'm forgetting...
And it's 97+ degrees and none of us feels like doing anything. Procrastination is the best motivator... -
Everything Red said, and also:
Sometimes you actually have to *work* to find people with the same interests as you. It doesn't hurt to use the star system, either.
