    I thought maneouvres had been nerfed al;ong with the global defence reduction to something like 3% even when enhanced with 3SO's?

    Yes, but irradiate is something you can choose not to fire. Assault is a toggle that you either have on, or turn off and wait an age for it to recharge. Irradiate can do useful damage and is one of the stronger Def debuff powers in the game.

    With regard to ID, I still say it's a useful reactive power, to free your team from hold/immob etc and also protects the squishies from knockback, very handy against CoR Ruin mages and AV's like Shadowhunter. IMO it's duration (1 minute) makes it a pretty pointless buff to spread round the team.

    just notioced you don't have any leadership powers. With 3 slotted tactics it acts like 1 extra SO in everything, so IMO it's worth trying to fit in somewhere.

    Yep, although with DM you also get end recovery via Dark Consumption. I have energy drain, Conserve power and Dark consumption, having 3 extra picks for power pools really helps round out my build.

    With no Stamina you'll be wanting end redux in Fly. I'd suggest 2x Flight speed 1x end redux so you won't need to find someone to transference off or pop cabs.

    Agreed, if someone asked what sort of Defender we wanted on the team if there was only 1 space, Kinetics would be the one.
  8. Don't forget, DM has siphon life, which can give you back 20% of your HP every 20 seconds or so. It also hase Soul Drain as awell as Energy Transfer. Along with Conserve power I can manage just fine on a stamina-less build.

  9. Auto powers don't use any end, they're passive so you can't slot with end redux.

    Most of all, it's been said, make sure you slot Dull pain 3 recharge 3 heal, ALWAYS 3 slot Temp invuln and Resist Phys Damage with Dam Res. An end redux will also help as Invuln is quite an end heavy set.

    Hmm, certainly Transfusion had a very noticable effect on Neuron when the team I joined had been plugging away at him for about 25 minutes. Soon as I got a couple of siphon speed's stacked the transfusion really started to have an effect. So much so that he went down within about 3 minutes of me getting there.
  11. Agreed, my Kin/Rad Def doesn't have it, although I do get the Inherent End reduction with a Def, but I'd say with hasten and Siphon Speed spammed at every opportunity with decent slotting in Transference it's not really required. useful, but not required.
  12. 2 Acc's, FA and tactics is probably a bit too much overkill. If you plan on running FA and Tactics you could probably drop one of the Acc's in your attacks and go for either an end redux or another recharge.

    Slice sucks, no bones about it. Take Build up alot earlier instead of Slice, and pick something else instead of Slice.
  13. Something like Psi or Sonic is great because slept bad guys don't wake up when you use Fulcrum shift. Psi damage with FS, especially some of the high up attacks can be really powerful.
  14. Buff! I remember running through the Freakalympics arc with him, Chilm and Wall of Fire and a few others (there's a pic somewhere!) and it was really good fun! not enough tight pink spandex about anymore!

  15. Being on a team with 2 is bloody good fun, being on a team with 3 or 4 would be immense!

    AFAIK other people's Siphon Power's will stack, but self applied ones will only stack on you 3 times, although the effect can be applied on your target to drop his damage down to 10% if you can stack it enough.

I find a FS'd neutrino bolt can do quite healthy damage and once I've FS'd I find irradiate does very healthy damage in the region of 12-16 damage per tick, and with 10 ticks for a PBAoE attack, 140-150 damage to the whole mob is pretty good for a Defender. I also use neutron bomb alot, but I'm tempted to drop it for the snipe, cos it makes a nice noise!

  18. In my experience, not 100%, but it is very, very high, probably something like 90%, maybe higher. As he said though, even for a weapon scrapper it's worth it, especially for paragon protectors to stop them MoG'ing or using Unstoppable.
  19. it's certainly not essential. my Kin/Rad doesn't have it, and it's not a particularly tight build, I have everything except Repel from primary but only Neutron bomb, Irradiate and Atomic blast from secondary. This allowed me to pick alot more from my Epic pool of choice, but I'd certainly say it's not a necessity.
  20. From what I've managed to work out, having played with my Kin for over 400 hours now, it's not possible to slot for -regen, it just happens, so try and make sure you put recharges in, use siphon speed whenever possible and also consider Hasten.

    With regard to siphon speed and power, I believe it's NOT possible to stack more than 3 siphon power's onto yourself (if you watch, unless it's been changed, the 4th one appears for only a brief amount of time then disappears leaving only 3), however, the debuff on your target can be stacked as many times as you can spam it. Stacking more than 2 siphon speed's is hard work though!

    As for Kinetics not being suitable for AV's, this is patently [censored]. A team I joined the night I7 was released (5 of them, tank of some sort, Empathy Def, 2 scrappers and a controller I think, all either 50 or SK'd to 49) were 25 minutes into a fight with Dominatrix, lvl 49, I was 50. They swore blind her HP bar hadn't even budged at all. I joined and once I'd hit her a couple of times with transfusion her HP bar started to edge down, once I'd stacked my siphon speeds double and I could spam it quicker she started to go down and went down a few minutes later. They all said that without me it would have been a long fight that was nothing more than a stalemate. Kinetics is very useful for AV fights, as is a Rad.

    Also, don't forget, -recovery is endurance recovery, -regen is HP regeneration.

  22. I actually smile when I see a non-Rergen scrapper, they're so rare! I purposefully decided against regen when I made my first one, simply because everyone (well, nearly) does Regen. I was the second BS/Invuln scrapper on Defiant according to Sar's list, and I'm proud of that. Compared to Regen I wouldn't be surprised to see that there are more Regen 50's than any other type.
