The bad news is, I've been finding myself playing less and less of CoH/V, and more and more of just about any other game (Mainly BF2). Some of you may have noticed my absences from the game, and my all too brief entrances, and exits. having been there, done that and seen just about everything there is to see, I find myself incredibly bored with Paragon City. The only thing I don't have yet is a 50 Villain, but TBH I'm not sure if I can bring myself to play to get one. The missions aren't all that different and it's not enough to keep me interested.
The good news is, as I'm unlikely to change to any other MMO at the moment, I'll keep my sub running. probably. I'm paid up until November I think, so we'll see what the Police band missions and the Faultline revamp brings, but I'll continue to check the forum on a regular basis.
i'd also like to say, although this is my first MMO, i find it extremely unlikely that any other game will have a community, friends and general all-round nice feeling to it as this one has. Everyone I speak to (well, nearly everyone) is friendly, nice and helpful. The Femme's, the FW's, TANC, OotCS, hell, everyone just about, I count as a friend! -
Depending on your primary, well, actually, with just about any Primary, I'd slot at least 1 end redux into every toggle you have. You'll probably be running TI, Unyielding and invincibility so stick an end redux into all 3. if you're using something like claws, you might get away with slotting a few end redux in some attacks. If you're using BS like I did, EVERY attack needs an end redux, and you'll be popping blues by the dozen until you can get Stamina, and even then I also looked forward to conserve power!

BS/Regen!!!! BS for the hurt, Regen for the always up end bar. I do like Invuln too, as it makes for the most suicidal of scrappers, always first in, usually before the tank!
-
Air Sup is a wonderful power, I despatched Ice Mistral with one hit the other night! She decided to hover up towards me on a unique map, so I air sup'd her, and cos she wasn't over and land, she just fell, anmd fell, and fell and disappeared!

Only really need 1 Dam Res in unstoppable as it stacks with your other toggles. might be an idea to put a taunt or 2 into invincibility as the more peeps around you, the more Def you have.
Also I question the resistances gained from the passives, even 3 slotted they give really quite crappy resistances, i can't remember figures, but I think somewhere around 15%, not really worth slotting more than the 1 slot you get when picking it. With my Invuln scrapper I think I picked Res NRG's but kept it at one slot and didn;'t take Res elements at all.
As for how 'squishy' you are, that's what Dull pain is for, and you need to get used to jumping into the mob and having them around you. It's the ranged stuff that will kill you.
Stealth is kinda rubbish for invuln, you should be moving fast to get into the middle of the mob, i suppose Stealth might help you do that, but the def it gives is pants. I find jumping into the mob works just as well.
Can't comment on the claws stuff at all though! -

So you would recommend to take the way I planned first?
I also prefer to take these powers instead of the patron ones, but before choosing new powers i would like to hear about what other players think about patron powers for brutes...

i don't have stamina at all and have Conserve power, Energy Drain and Dark Consumption! With EA you'll orobably be running 3 or 4 toggles, so your extra slots are going to go on End redux otherwise anyway. Conserve power is worth it IMO. -
That's pretty close to my build except I took Flight to get AS as an attack chain filler and picked up SS later on after hasten.
I'm still not entirely taken on the 'no damage in attack' bit, cos I've noticed that once a team gets above about 4 members, or you have another brute in the team then I have a really hard time building my fury to a decent level, and when you're waiting on the squishies end/health coming back your fury drops. I might pick up taunt to help with this though. -
I found adding 1 extra slot to IR for recharge worked alot better cos then you have a choice as to when you want to fire it off again. I have it slotted 1 jump and 1 recharge, although you could easily use a siphon speed to increase the recharge.
-
I'd say picka travel power at 14 and then you can spec it out later. Trying to siphon speed off bad guys +3-+6 (or more!) when you move into a new zone is just asking for trouble. Once you have IR you can spec it out.
Also with transference not until lvl 35 for Corr's, I'd say again pick it and spec it out later. -
Flurry does have a very narrow cone, and Flurry is all smashing damage, and is, hence, a very poor substitute for Sands of mu, which is the best temp power I've ever received.
-
The accuracy bonus from Invincibility is pitiful now (something like 2% per bad guy I think, although it's only AFAIK) so you might want to slot an accuracy into your attacks sooner than you have, should you PvP or go badge hunting in a lower level zone or exemp for a TF or something.
-
Personally I'd say drop them both so you then only need to pick up 2 powers then it's only one more choice for Stamina. When I dropped Stamina from my Kin build (With Assault, maneouvres, Stealth, Sprint, sometimes oppressive gloom and the Dark shield who's name I forget from dark Epic pool usually running all the time) the things I actually found I missed more were Hurdle and Swift rather than Stamina itself. I slotted Sprint for jump instead and it's not so bad, but I do miss Hurdle. With an SO it's high enough to reach most platforms without resorting to finding the stairs or using fly/IR.
You can manage without stamina if you have transference suitably slotted, you just have to be slightly more aware of your end bar. I have my bars above my head so you don't need to be watching the corner of the screen constantly. -
Usual slotting with ED is 2 recharge, 2 Def and 2 to-hit I think.
-
Oh yeah, unless you hit a big mob, unslotted for end mod it'll only fill about 25% of your bar. I think I have 3 end mods in there and I get about 60% back from 1 minion.
-
Doesn't matter, couldn;t make it anyway!

This is the last TF I need for my Task Force Commander badge so I'd like to do this before I go back to work. Any Takers?

1. Boudicea BS/INvuln Scrapper lvl 50. -
Yeah, once you have energy Drain 3 slotted for recharge it pretty much solves all your end issues so you could move to one end red slot. best thing about Energy Drain is it's auto hit, no accuracy required!

With endurance worries and the idea of building fury as fast as possible I would slot attacks with Acc, Endred and recred before damage. Also RPD is not worth 3 slotting leave it at the default slot.

Some would say otherwise as if you get toggle dropped or held then it's really your only resistance. Horses for courses of course, but it does stack with TI. -
I do find it rather unfair that every other invisibility/stealth type power is unstackable with any other, except a Stalkers, but I suppose it's their only real 'nuke' attack.

Does anyone have the numbers for Invincibility 3 Slotted with +3 SO's for Def? I've had a quick look around and can't find em. I just need the base, and the amount it adds per enemy, thanks in advance

Basically you want to find the biggest mob you can, then jump right into the middle of them. With my Invuln Scrapper when i'm surrounded by more than 6 bad guys I hardly get touched. When I've started carving them up and there's about 2-3 left I get hit alot more, so there definitely seems to be a 'critical' point where it moves from not being hit, to getting hit most times. -
Unless you've picked a passive and slotted it you've got next to no toxic resistance and as Vahz love the ranged attacks you've got no defence to this either. What you should be doing is trying to aggro them and pull round a corner so they'll all come into melee range, where your Def is best. That way you should last longer.
-
You forgot to mention the crippling end usage costs!
-
I agree, soon as I got my SO's EA comes into it's own, and Overload is just totally fab!
-
BS/Invuln=END HOG, and I should know! You'll be needing end redux in ALL your toggles AND every attack. That's with 3 slotted stamina and I still looked forward to the day I got Conserve power, which is also 3 slotted for recharge! Invuln is fab though, although the auto resistances have debatavle worth.
