I'd like to do that with my scrapper. Will try to be there.
-
I'd like to be there, don't have it on my badge toon. Count me in.
-
Yes, but the way you play your inv Tank/Scrapper makes a huge difference. Sure, if you go toe to toe with the first critter of the mob, then some of the mob are likely to be out of your invincibility aura, but if you always make a beeline for the centre of the mob, as I do, then it doesn't really matter what sort of res you have, it's the def that counts!
I don't have weave, tough, CJ, stealth or anything else that boosts my Def.
Anyone that's played with me will tell you that I'm totally nuts, but an Invuln scrapper needs to be to survive.
I should mention that I apply 3 def slotted Parry liberally to help boost my Def though, usually double stacked through most of the fight.
I tried Regen, only to level 14, but really didn't like it. I'm trying DA now though. -
hasten. Resilience is kinda naff. You'd probably be better off with Tough from fghting pool.
-
I need Eden & Sewer trials, and any of the SS TF's on my scrapper. If you're starting about 9pm, I'd be interested! global as below.
-
mwx is right, the to-hit is pitifully small, even with one accuracy the to hiot, unslotted is good enough. not worth it I'd say, slots better somewhere else.
-
Don't forget, it doesn't matter if you have 4 attacks available to you, you can only use 1 at a time! OK, maybe slot your biggest hitting attack with recharge, but to have 3-4 attacks to choose from is OTT.
With my brute, I've found that, in big teams, fury building is a big problem, especially if there's any MM pets to take your aggro. Also, if you plan to solo, you end up taking down a mob too quickly to build any decent fury. -
I think you all sell Invuln very short. it's a good set, and paired with something like BS or Kat you can get very good levels of def. I absolutely love my Invuln scrapper. I tried Regen and hated it after that. The only thing that lets it down is the passive resistances to elements and energy. They're so bad, often scrappers don't actually bother with them!
-
AFAIk Statesman, and probably Positron too have said quite a few times they are completely happy with Stone tanks in general, especially with granite armour. I mean, OK, it's tough to take one down (psi excepted) but you get -recharge, -speed and -damage. Sure you're hard to kill, but it also makes it hard for you to kill.
(Substitute arrest for kill where required) -
Finding a high level WS arc with 2 shadow Cyst crystals way too close together, jumping into the first one, hitting unstoppable and defeating one, popped DP and proceeded to mash the other one into little pieces. I prompted someone to roll their next scrapper as a BS scrapper
Also a room full of Crey tanks of all varieties, and actually managing to herd 2 mobs into the corner, and hitting my Nuke to wipe them all out. Oh, wait, that was on my Defender -
I'd say there are only a few attacks worth slotting def debuff for, one of them being Irradiate. It has quite a healthy debuff, but it is a PBAoE power.
-
Someone will come in with figures though. IMO it's not really worth it. Despite the 'invulnerability' it gets most of it's awesomeness from defence, not resistance. Invuln's toggles are heavy enough, add Tough on top and it's asking a lot.

The nicest, most polite player I've ever had the good fortune to play with! Well Done!
-
REN and REL give debatable protection, fully slotted they're not worth much, hence at various stages I've either picked them and single slotted them or skipped them completely. The main problem with Invuln is that anything ranged just kills you completely. You will grow to hate spawns close together and Nemesis.
Tough hide is useful IMO, because 3 slotted it negates thne -def from unyielding. -
First time I've read this, excellent, and oh so true!
-
Invuln has 3 toggles that you'll have on all the time. might be an idea to slot with an end redux in each one.
-
Conserve power halfs your end use for the duration of the power. It's not going to stop TB from draining all your end if you hit more than 2 bad guys.
-
Maneouvres (or however you spell it) really is kinda rubbish now, it gives a pitiful buff to your team, something in the range of 1-2% I believe, although i don't know the exact numbers. Irradiate is a very good defence debuff and can do some impressive DoT if you have a handy Kinetics along the way to boost your damage.
-
No, they are not auto hit, they require an accuracy check to work. I find 1 accuracy will usually hit most of a mob, you can always add 2 if you're obsessive about it!
-
It's a very useful power, the only ranged 'nuke' attack available. And the animation rocks.
-
Kin always benefits from any accuracy boost, especially when you want to Siphon their power or speed. Of course, it's a 'root' toggle, so when it gets knocked off it's kinda annoying. Aid self is a good choice, although your heal is strong, it's never likely to be around you when it fires off.

You know the best advice I can give for Fire secondary? Pick something else!
