Also fear add's a tohitdebuff as well, making it extra useful.

BS/Invuln can be very annoying at early levels. As you said, mobs start doing fire and cold attacks, which you're weak to. Stick with it though, one you get unyielding and invincibility you'll be sorted! i know, i've been there! make sure you have Dull pain as well, and try to slot BS attacks with end redux and recharge, they're quite damaging without Dam at early levels as very few critters have Res to talk about.
-
BS attacks have quite a slow recharge rate, so you're going to be struggling to get a decent attack chain without slotting some sort of recharge into your 3 attacks, Quickness or not. I'd suggest an extra recharge into each attack if you can.
-
Take build up. Slot it with the extra slot from your toggles. 1 end rredux in each is enough IMO. Also slot conserve power with 2 more recharges, for those AV fights that drag on.
-
Dark is handy because you get Touch of Fear, which hardly any toons have Res to, which makes it very useful.
-
Invuln has a built in taunt aura, so you'd be better off slotting a taunt or 2 into that rather than taking a 'proper' taunt. You're not a tank, you'll find it difficult to manage aggro like a tank does. Build Up is a must have IMO, you want that burst damage for bosses, EB's and AV's.
-
You'd have to question Siphon Life when you have Dark Regeneration available to you. If you use it as part of your attack chain, I'd suggest Air Sup from the flight pool. it's a wonderful attack, with nearly a 100% chance of knockdown and has a very handy -fly attached.
With regard to Dark Regen, 4 minions around you, even without any heal slotting it will pretty much fill your HP bar from bottom to top. You really want the PbAoe attack who's name escapes me, perhaps Soul Drain? if you slot that with to-hit's you would be over the top for accuracy. SO's don't really need double slotted unless you plan to PvP IMO.
With regard to Dark melee, you could easily afford to drop an accuracy and got for an end redux in your attacks. if you're using -
Invuln, despite it's name, actually gets most of it's invulnerability from it's Defence. When you have invincibility running, every critter around you gives you a defence buff, making it very important that you surround yourself with bad guys. This defence aura only extends a few feet around you, so anyone outside that range doesn't add to your defence, making you much easier to hit. Yeah, you have resistances (very good ones to Smashing and Lethal), but as your other resists are auto, or inherent ones, the resistance they give isn't the best. I think I have Resist elements, single slotted with Dam Res and I don't have Resist Elements at all. Many scrappers (and possibly brutes) give them a miss and pick something else, sometimes aid self from the medecine pool instead of wasting 2 power picks and an extra 4 slots.

All i'll say is that if you're fighting +5's, you're either WAY out of your depth and many TFP's await, or you really need to take an SK.
I'm biased, but I'll say Kin/Rad FTW! -
True. I've seen an SR scrapper stand in the middle of a mob, without elude, and manage to only get hit 2 or 3 times. I've also seen the same SR scrapper jump into a mob on the same mission, and by sheer bad run of numbers, faceplant within 10 seconds.
-
Just thinking about the slotting, now my Claws/DA is at lvl 17. I assume to-hit is worth it, and some recharge. What about 1 acc, 2 to-hit and 3 recharge?
-
Although i don't have a DM/INvuln scraper, i do have a DM brute and an Invuln scrapper. i'd say the taunt built into invincibility and your PBAoE Dam+acc buff will make it a pretty good set. The only thing that lets Invuln down is the crappy resists to Fire/cold/both nrgs and the fact that, from range, it has absolutely no defence at all, unless you add some yourself with CJ or Stealth.
having said that,. I love DM on my btute, ned Nrg is one of the least resisted damage types in the game, and once you adjust to playing Invuln (jump into the middle, not bash on the first guy on the edge of the mob) it can be wonderful, especially with something else to buff your deence in some way. -

Leadership is not bad, but it's an end drainer and my intent was to try and do without Stamina, using transference in combo with syphon speed, hasten and power sink when going towards the last levels.

You mean like my build? lvl 50, I have tactics, Assault, Dark Armour, oppressive gloom, stealth and sprint on always, and don't have stamina. I concentrate on speed or recharge (spamming siphon speed is the way to go) in transference. usually trough the course of a fight you'll get a few blues to help you along. Also I have the dark epic end regen thing, I forget it's name. -
3 accuracies is too much IMO, you'd be better off slotting a recharge into siphon power and transfusion, possibly taking tactics or slotting siphon power with an accuracy at the very least. 3 slotted with SO's tactics acts like an extra SO in every power, and accuracy is something you want with kinetics.
-
I pretty much solo'd from 1-10 and I thought it pretty good, With the added damage from Siphon power and the fast recharge of Neutrino bolt giving decent damage at low levels you can become quite the damage dealer at low levels.
-
Kinetics slow? I love kinetics cos it makes the team power through missions with the added damage possible, the speed boosts etc, but if you don't like Kinetics, then perhaps Forcefield might be to your choice? It's really the opposite to Kinetics, the ultimate buff and forget powerset.
-
On my EMp/NRG's trip to 50, although this was Pre ED, I never even took AP. It's a very volatile subject, talking about it. IMO, now that ED's here, it's not a must have, but can be useful.

except i hate that its not a toggle >.<

yeah, but if it's not a toggle, it can't be dropped in PvP. -
Have to say, my Emp/NRG blast defender was my first 50, and I can probably count the number of times I've played her since on 2 hands. That was over a year ago. ED just killed her. I copied her over to test to try and respec her, but no matter what I did I just couldn't get anything that felt or looked right.
My Kin/Rad (first on Defiant!!!) is totally fab, I love her to bits, just as you do. if I could ID myself or had a continual supply of Break Free's she'd be just totally fab, and perfect. When we did the Shadow Shards TF the other day, we were taking mobs down in about 10 seconds. literally. It was immense. I totally love her to bits, and every team I'm in does too! -
i need this badge on my scrapper. Tetron can get in touch with me, or @miss Chief.
-
Mael, probably because the higher level critters tend to have some sort of resistance themselves, which resists resistance debuffs. Low level bad guys hardly have any resistances of any worth.
-
Inv has alot of toggles (you'll usually be running 4) but it really depends on your Primary. Before I got Stamina my tray was full of blues before every mission. I was a total End HOG. Something like Claws/Invuln or Katana/Invuln wouldn't have too many issues, I had to slot an end redux into every attack and toggle I had just to keep my head above water. Now I'm at lvl 50, I have Conserve Power to help when I'm running Focussed Accuracy, and the accolades that give +End also help loads.
I've you've got powers to spare, I can highly recommend the Presence pool, Fear is a very powerful tool, both PvE and PvP, should you be so inclined. The ToHitDebuff from Intimidate and Invoke Panic will work really well with invincibility. -
Would have to say, alot of people don't actually bother with either, and think about picking up Aid Self instead. The resistances they gave aren't very good for a Scrapper, and I've either taken them and single default slotted them, taken one or the other, or not bothered at all, and I don't think they've really made that much difference either way.
