  1. Hmm, if this works reliably I might need to spec it onto my Kin/Rad. PBU, FS, irradiate transfusion. I assume it's a 5 second click like build up itself?
  2. Hmm, FF/Dark might be good, cos of the +def from your bubbles and the -acc from the dark.

That is a problem, but I got by with Shadow Punch, Smite, Shadow Maul and Air Sup, with Siphon Life and Soul Drain to begin with and never really had a problem with recharge TBH.

With ED, you could easily slot damage and heals into it, but tbh my experience of Dm comes from my brute, where I use it only for the +HP factor, and have it slotted 3 heals, 2 recharge and 1 acc.

I'd say so, the -acc can stack really well with the +Def.
  6. Wow, terminal altitis or just too busy chatting?? Congratz!
  7. The only resistance Regen scrappers have is that they can heal the damage back, they have no resistance or defence agianst it.

SR scrappers have defence to it, sure, but that doesn't mean they have resistance. in fact they have no Res at all to Psi or Toxic, they have to rely on whatever toggles they can count on. According to the guide you linked to (and all of that is theory!) then DA wins hands down, but again, that relies on optimal slotting and being able to hit 2 or mroe targets for Dark Regen to work. Also, the guide states that invuln is not as bad as eople think, and is, theoretically of course, slightly better than SR!

Anyway, I currently have a DA scrapper and a SR scrapper on the go, so I can make a good comparison. I have had Regen scrappers in the past, and TBH I found them squishy until you get into the 20's and get all your heals and clicks.
  8. Yes, Invuln scrappers have a weakness to psi damage, but wait, so do Regen Scrappers! There's more, so do SR scrappers! In a situation like that, TBH I'd probably feel quite comfortable, as I know once I've done a built up headsplitter, with added Hack for good measure, the night Widow isn't going to be standing up long enough to get any decent attacks off at me, the +def from all the Arachnos you should be surrounded by, and the fact that they all do S+L Damage, which you're almost at the cap for, wouldn't actually make me worry too much. Other scrappers would also be in trouble in a situation like that as well. That's a rubbish example!

Invul scrappers arent that strong, would probably almost die when DP aint ready

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have one, and I can certainly tell you, we don't 'die' when DP isn't ready. Invuln scrappers require a different mindset to other scrappers, but are by no means dead meat without Dull Pain. Anyone who's teamed with my Scrapper will tell you that I can most certainly hold my own, and other Invuln scrappers certainly can too.

    Dark/Invun

Aid self may not be required as you have Siphon Life and Dull Pain, having 3 would just be overkill IMO!
  11. Don't forget, Dark melee has an end regen move, if you have more than 2 people around you, 3 slotted with end mod you can get a full bar if you hit all 3. DM/FA would actually be pretty good now tat I think about it!
  12. I'd slot Irradiate with debuff Def, it's the most powerful in the rad secondary, so is worth slotting for it.
  13. What Sin said!

Fury is your be all and end all. You'll do anything to keep it high. This is often called 'Brute-Lock' and can become this overpowering, all-encompassing desire to attack the next mob.
  14. It is Proton volley, but it sounds much better as proton torpedo, and it makes the coolest noise.

And it's atomic blast, not fallout I have.

Have to say, my Kin/Rad is by far my most played character. before ED she could actually tank!
  15. Rad secondary is an excellent companion to Kin as it has alot of -def powers, which make it much easier for your attacks to hit.

Now, rad secondary is very much personal preference, but I have aim, neutron bomb, irradiate (great def debuff BTW, and useful damage after FS) Photon Torpedo, fallout and that's about it. Others will say that you should pick up other stuff, but I'm happy with my picks.

I originally had just IR and didn't bother with acro, but soon after getting lvl 50 I 'specced into fly/Hover and it's much better. With a siphons peed and a couple of fly speeds in hover it's perfectly useful as an in mission travel power.

There's a thread here about Kin's and travel powers. Read it and choose carefully once you reach lvl 14.

As a team based set it works fabulously. TBH I'd rather have a Kin in my team than any empath.

I picked up everything from Kin except Repel. Never had it, don't want it.

I run tactics, epic shield, assault, stealth, sprint and hover, and I manage just fine without Stamina, although I did take it at lvl 20 to begin with, and specced it out once I had transference slotted well. Again, others will say take it, but if it misses (and that doesn't happen very often, with the -def from all rad attacks, 2 acc's in it and tactics) then I've usually got a blue or 2 to tide me over, and you should really have at least 1, perferably 2 siphon speeds stacked anyway, so it comes back pretty quick.)

I'll say this, Kin/Rad isn't a build for the lazy. there's always something up that you can use.
  16. I'd say yes, and no

TBH once I hit IP and Talos, trying to siphon speed off +4's and upwards didn't work very well, and I ended up getting splatted alot, so in the end I took SS as I already had hasten. Once I had IR available, I 'specced out the SS in favour of IR. I now have Fly and hover as well as IR, simply because hover works great with Siphon Speed for inside the missions, and I like to chat while travelling.
  17. Working 5pm-11pm from monday, so it'll av to be Sat or Sun night. Feel free to organise something yourself though!
  18. Parry can be an acquired taste, as the damage isn't that great, but the def buff, especially on a Regen, makes it worth it IMO. Set it to auto, so whenever you change target it fires off automatically.

Depending on mob type, headsplitter with BU+Crit can often give you 350-400+the crit on top. however, it does need foes weak to lethal damage. Anything resistant to ir and you'll only be doing 200-250 damage, even with buildup.
  19. Thanks to everyone that's ever teamed with me or helped me out. Its been a pleasure. usually a curse filled rant about how much EA sucks when I'm fighting against longbow (and why does a sonic grenade, which says -Res, seem to mean every attack hits me when EA is mainly a def based set?), but still a pleaure!
  20. Wish i could Seductress, but gonna be out at that time. I'm sure I'll be able to get a team together, a few people have expressed in terest.
  21. OK, we're looking at 8pm on Friday for Sewer Trial. I also asked on another forum, so we'll see who turns up.

Be at the contact in Founders Falls, close to the lvl 30 Mutation shop/contact, 8pm Friday.
  22. Basically I need both of these with my badge collecting Scrapper (as well as all 4 shadow shards TF's, but I won't mention these now!) so would anyone be up for doing one or both of them within the next few weeks?

Level range for Sewer trial is 36+, but we need enough people in the 'correct' level range of 36-41 to use the Hydra weapons. Anyone 41+ cannot damage the Hydra. Because of the 'broken' state of the mission, it's possible to invite people onto the mission while it's in progress.

Also, Eden trial sometime soon as well, level range is 39+, auto-exemp applies for anyone too high (I think too high is 41+). Any takers? Please give an idea of availability as well, so I can get a time to suit.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
36 minimum for the sewer trial as thats the lowest level you can get into the Abandonded sewer network

Edit: that said you prob wanna be a lil bit higher as the rikti and hydra are set at 42

    [/ QUOTE ]

Don't forget, because of the 'broken' range of the trial, it doesn't behave like a proper TF, in that you can buy enhancements and invite people onto the team. Also you need someone within the level range to use the hydra weapons, as anyone above the range (as in anyone 41+) can't damage the Hydra with the weapons.
  24. I need Sewer Trial and Eden trial as well, Bou'd be up for them both!
  25. Count me in, Mae Hemme, lvl 48 DM/EA/Mu brute.
