    Thanks for doing this!

Yes, it is based on total. I held back and left the lot smaller so people would have money to decorate with. Also, the super computers (which I just bought x2 for our control needs) are 500k each. The "nice" stuff adds up fast.

The boosted mez is one of the best things about Domination but double stacked domination doesn't add to that.

Erm then why mention the lack of damage that hasn't been there since i15?

Why not toss in the it doesn't increase your agro cap as long as we're pointing out the things it doesn't do?

The OP's question was answered in the 2nd reply. I simply wanted to know why I am seeing so many people comment about Domination - noting the end refill and the mez protection - while ommiting the added mez. The same people who generally leave out the added mez seem to tie in the fact that it doesn't add damage any more - something that changed 3 issues ago.

I just found it all very curious. I guess no one can answer that though.

And no, Talen - the rest of the power's abilities are just as obvious. They're right there in game, mids, your favorite CoX website. So I'm not buying that either. It was a nice try though

Sorry Angelic for jacking your thread.
  3. Ok - Here's what went down

I created all of the requested rooms.

I created all of the rooms needed to make those rooms work.

I dropped "example" items in med lab. I have no decorating inclination, so someone will have to work with that. The med lab is the largest size available. Your other choices are 1x2 and 2x2. We have a 4x4. (Thank you for the messed up sizes devs!)

The control room needs to be decorated. I have dropped the required items to reach the needed level of control (I think). I am going to earn a badge tonight and upgrade that tomorrow just to be sure.

The energy room also needs to be decorated. I am arbitrarily picking a Tech theme for it. I find the Tier II energy item for arcane ugly *shrug*. If you opt to decorate the energy room and don't want to do tech, I can hook you up with how to make the arcane Tier II - We will definitely need it.

I can make porters, but someone will need to offer to decorate that room and they will have to let me know if they want Arcane or Tech porters. It makes a difference. They're crafted, not simply purchased. If whoever wants to decorate wants to make the porters, great!

There is a functioning vault directly above the crafting tables, as requested. We have enhancement and salvage storage on the off chance someone wants to use it. Perhaps for holding overstock while shifting - idk.

Any additional rooms we add will be "fluff". As we require no more rooms to function.

I changed the plot. It was the largest non-secure plot available. We need a secure one to allow 2 energy items and 2 control items to be placed. I didn't pick the largest 'cause it would have actually put a really big chunk in our prestige. Those things are spendy! lol! If anyone changes the plot, please make sure you get a "secure" plot.

After MUCH jostling and grumbling, I was able to save the safe room. The head / hands room bit it about 30 seconds in. Sorry

There is a rather large workshop sitting off of the functional workshop. Please don't decorate this yet. Its temporary and needed for crafting base items. Tech stuff needs to be made on tech tables - arcane on arcane. If someone is feeling ambitious, we could use a workshop for each kind that has all 3 "forges / tables". If not, I will continue to swap out the ones in that room as needed.

I'll take a stab at it - not promising anything mind you, but I'll take a stab

Edit: The porters will need beacons. I know how to get them, but am not up for doing it again =( if someone has a 50 that can run around and grab em, that would be swell.

I still have yet to hear a valid argument for destroying influ.

    Well - how about this:

I am destroying inf because I can. And I want to.

The same question could be posed to many things in this game:

Why spend 2 bil on a PvP IO?

Why spend WAY more than what I have destroyed on purples for a build that is marginally better with them?

Why race to 50 (as so many do) when 90% of the content you do is around level 30?

Why have costume contests? Why give out "prizes" for something as arbitrary as your opinion? Why hold a contest to guess what I'm spending on my Dom?

Why is a level 50 enhancement worth so much more than a 49?

Its a simple answer to all of these and it comes down to the same thing:

Its my $15 a month. I'll have fun any way I want. I expect you to do the exact same thing. Have fun any way you want!

Regardless - why does anyone care what someone else does with their inf? If I burn it on prestige or hoard it across 8 servers, the end result is still the same.

Not speaking about double or triple stacked. I'm really just curious about why I see a lot of people listing the benefits of Domination as:

    End filler
    Mez protection

    And that's it.

Domination adds mez and mez duration. To me, that's the defining portion of the power, yet it seems to be the part that gets forgotten outside in the cold freezing its little toes off (ok - went too far there ).

I also see a lot of people who leave out the extra mez from Domination comment on the lack of +damage. I know that's a very old mechanic, but why mention that and not the mez that's added from hitting that shiny button?

There was a post a while ago where someone was saying that it was a waste of their time to use domination because of the following:

It was an activation that could have / should have been used to do a damaging attack
It doesn't boost damage any more
They didn't have end issues - why do they care about the end refill?
ST Hold + AoE hold was fine for holding bosses

I really, really am just curious why the extra mez is often left out when discussing Domination.

The most expensive item on there is LOTG 7.5, which averages around 100 mil. Since you have 5 of them, the minimum guess is at least 500 mil.

However, I will put faith in your cheap-fu, and guess that you can get them at 80 mil each.
EDIT: My 2nd build is a lowbie build for SFs, and while building it, I also noticed that there's much less IOs at lvls 20-30. I chalk it up to low supply since lvl 50 IOs have the most profit, so not a lot of people are locking their toons at low levels. Most people are in the hurry to get to 50.

    I wish you luck:
    647,777,777
The malfactoring never bothered me. I have yet to make a build that will translate down better than they do - This one will do better than most as I tend to slot my (near) 50's with lvl 35-50 IOs (whatever is cheapest). This character might get a 2nd build if I find myself wishing I had the recharge at lower levels. But tbh, on groups, this game is so easy - especially the lower level tfs - that I find the extra 5 levels of powers are more than enough to keep me happy.

    Update:

    I sit and I wait.

Things I am being forced into by my own rules (DARN ME!):

If I want an enhancement, I will often bid across a LARGE range. I bid on enhancements and recipes up to 4 levels higher than I can currently use. This toon is level locked - so that doesn't work. I also limited myself to +/-3 levels from indicated to make it more fair.

If I want an enhancement (or recipe) I will often bid across a range before bed. Bidding on 6 or 7 enhancements and 7 or 8 recipes. This allows me the best shot at getting something while I'm asleep. If I get more than I wanted, I sell them for more than I paid for them. Because of my limitation (self-imposed) of not purchasing anything more than I absolutely HAD to, I can't do this. This makes me sad lol.

I will often make minor changes on the fly to my builds depending on prices. If I see that the Basilisk's quad is selling for 100mil, but the triple is selling for 20 - I'll probably settle for the triple. I try to avoid 6-slotting any set (when I can) for just that reason. Since I am locked into this build, I'm eating some costs I wish I wasn't.

Procs: Procs are (nearly) identical from the lowest level to the highest level. When they are being muled (such as a LotG 7.5) level is irrelevant. I feel I could do much better if I had allowed myself room on the proc front.

Deadline: I never have a deadline for a character. I have never had to have one. I can usually build what I want in a day or 2. Changing my build on the fly helps a LOT with this. I'm starting to feel the crunch on this build. Monday is only a few days away!

I built something I REALLY want to go play. This stink. I can't even go smash lowbies - it will skew the numbers. This is making me impatient. In fact, I have to force myself to stop increasing my bids on an item when I realized I was well over the point I would ever pay for it. Patience is key with the market. My shiny new Dom is making me lose mine

There's still time to get your guesses up! I won't say how many slots are left - but I will say that its not many

Getting to level 4 I added something like 600 pres to my 2.2 million. I don't see this being a real issue at lower levels.

I'll be running in SG mode because its "cute" to see that tiny little bit added on to my total.

Why do a lot of people seem to forget that Domination has a very significant effect beyond Mez protection and end refills?

And yes, you get no extra mez from stacking (Per Muon's post), but I'm really just curious why the main effect of this power is often left out of lists when talking about Domination.

    Hejtmane,

On behalf of the entire Marketeer Community, I would like to sincerely apologize for any anguish and any and all trauma, real or imagined, that this ordeal has put you through. We hope you understand that these actions are the work of an individual and therefore should not be held against the whole. The real-world (people in the game - not on the forums) perception of Marketeers is not favorable at this time. We understand this and are working on several campaigns to help reduce the stress between the Marketeers and the non-marketeers. Hopefully our previous level of tenuous relations can be achieved. At this time, it is looking to be a very long process indeed.

You have our utmost sympathy for the grievance you have brought before us, and we humbly ask that you forgive our wayward member. He was intending to have a lark, and while he did, the wholesale damage this has caused our reputation is nearly beyond our ability to repair. This is evident in the fact that one, such as yourself has willingly come to this forum to share your sad story. To bear witness to the atrocities perpetrated against you on both a financial and emotional level. The market has recovered at this time, but the hearts and minds of all of those involved will need time. Time to heal. Time to forget.

Once again, on behalf of the entire Marketeering Community, I apologize. If there is any form of compensation you desire for your troubles, please feel free to PM me at any time with your request.

    Thank you, and God bless.

  14. Ok, I see your point greystar. You think its a waste of time.

I can sort of agree with that.

However, I see it like this:

You create character A. You slot out Character A with everything your little heart desires. You then slot out Character A's 2nd build with everything your little heart desires. Character A then does a TF. What is the inf you generate from that TF going to be spent on? Another character?

Great! But the same applies - and eventually, you will run out of things to spend your billions on. Its one of the things I really like about this game - you can actually have "enough" money. Sure, you can always have more - but there's a point somewhere that every inf you make over that will never be spent.

For me, I can make a bil in about 2 weeks not trying very hard through the market.

I can "trick out" a toon putting in all of the IOs I am willing to pay for (purples make no sense to me - I have yet to slot them) and spend about 400-600 mil total. So as long as I am not making 4 new characters a week and leveling them to IO slotting stage, I have "too much" inf.

If I choose to blow it on an SG that has no purpose other than destroying inf, bully for me! If I want to give it away to someone else for guessing a number, bully for me! If you want to create 20 alts and hide billions in the market bidding on things that don't sell, bully for you! But you really should find a way to have some fun with your inf. Its not like you're playing a game or something...

Destroying money is silly(in the us its a crime.. If you burn a dollar bill it is a felony.)

p.s. I love marketing I will continue. However i see no need for influ destruciotn . I am fine paying 4 mill for pangean soil. espessially if i sold 50 prophecy for the 4 mil too.

Then what is your reasoning behind people having significantly more inf then they did even 6 issues ago?

I would sincerely like to hear an explanation of this.

You (the collective you) "create" inf in one of two ways: mob kills, and vendor sales. Everything else (unless I'm missing something) is just pushing it around from one person to another, usually with a cut for the dealer which goes towards BaB's house in the BVI.

The ability for a lvl 50 to create inf in this manner has been tested and is a ridiculously high number. The amount of influence already in storage is also very high.

Only the devs can cut the rate of influence creation, but once it gets created, anyone can accumulate it and, if they so choose, destroy it. If you can destroy it faster than it is produced (which I find doubtful), then you can cut into the accumulated supply which should lead to lower prices.

Personally, I think that with tickets, merits and A-merits, the devs have set effective price caps on *most* items.
And after much testing, it was found that an average farmer can generate about 20-25 mil inf per hour through drops and vendoring. This does not count market sales as those don't generate inf, but shuffle it around and destroy it some.

Assume the "average" farmer does what amounts to 3 solid hours of farming every day. That one farmer generates 75 mil (using 25 mil for ease of math) a day. Over a week, that's 525 mil.

If we can destroy 1 bil per week as a collective, we "almost" eliminate 2 farmers working fairly hard.

If we look at it from a "normal player" stand point - your average player generates about 50 mil a week (arbitrary number - on average, this seems about right) through kills at various levels.

If we apply the 1 bil a week against normal players, we are able to directly remove what 20 people do in a week.

As you can see, its a drop in the bucket, but its a step in the right direction regardless.

Please include porters for the lazy and inept such as myself. kgo! Thanks!
  20. I know there are many, many people who have many, many more hours of doing base related stuff than me, so I thought I would ask you folks:

How do you organize your beacons?

I have them all except RWZ and Pocket-D. The porter is sitting there waiting for those - so i'm not "down a porter"

I have 3 porters in 1 room, and 8 in another.

Suggestions about beacon organization would be MUCH appreciated!

  24. Round 3 done!

Only 9 enhancements to go people!

    Notes:

The middle of the market has this huge gaping black hole where IOs and Recipes should be. Where is all of this stuff? Are people not listing it because they see its not selling often (Bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy there) or maybe they feel its not worth it? Or did all of the GR babies tear through and steal all of my stuff?!

    Anywho -

I'm waiting for some stuff to actually show up. I'm waiting for some to show up at a price that isn't just awful. 9 enhancements to go, and half of the problem is there are none to buy . And no, I'm not saying which ones! HA! I will say that of the 9, a few are not what you might expect.

By the end of the weekend, this should be completed easily (*crosses fingers*).

It's still anyone's game! Get those guesses up! Free money is... well, its free!
