The Pain of Team Legacy: The New Recruit
Hope smiled as she played lightly with her friends. Most of the children were younger than her, but in a place like Recluse City, you are always thankful for the small amounts of companionship you can find.
Hope had been in the Orphanage for the last three years. Before then, she had been a very normal child, growing up in Paragon City and reading in the newspapers all about the amazing feats of Statesman and the Freedom Phalanx. Unfortunately, that all ended just before the War of New Era, when all of the Heroes fought against the forces of Lord Recluse, the only Villain Organization left in the world. For one year, Hope's life was diminished to running from city to city, trying to survive the war. In the end, her parents were killed and she was assigned to an Orphanage back in Paragon City, which was now named "Recluse City", and was a historical landmark as the place where the "Great Lord Recluse" began his empire. Of course, now Lord Recluse was overseeing his troops in the front. The war wasn't over, of course. Lord Recluse had simply conquered the United States, which was now named "The Empire of SPIDER". The rest of his troops were overrunning the remainder of the world, and facing little resistance. But Hope didn't know or care about that. She had reluctantly learned to adapt to her new home, and even adapt to her new life, and the only thing that saved her sanity were the friendships that she made with the other orphans. Most of them were like her, children who lost her parents in the War, but some of them were handed over to the new Government because parents couldn't afford to maintain a child with the stiff monthly "tax" that Revenue Collectors billed for living in the "Empire". Some families had escaped during the War. Many had not. Hope sighed and her thoughts returned to present day situations. She looked around the "playground" that the orphanage had. It was no more than a broken-glass filled sandlot with one rusty swing in the corner. The Orphanage itself was no luxury either, and vermin and disease were commonplace. As much as Recluse City was "historical", Recluse held a special hatred for it at the same time, so the city received by far the lowest funding in the entire Empire.
"Owwww!" One of the children cried, grabbing his foot. His shoes had ripped and his foot had been cut on a piece of broken glass.
"Nurse Hope! Nurse Hope!" The other children cried, running over to Hope. Hope smiled at her nickname. This wasn't the first time one of the children had been injured, and she had taken it upon herself, as the oldest child in the orphanage, to learn what little she could about medicine and first-aid to be an unofficial "Nurse" at the Orphanage. The "real" Nurse at the Orphanage knew even less than she did, so the "real" Nurse usually let Hope do her job for her while getting paid for Hope's work. She even gave hope the Orphanage's First-Aid Kit.
Hope looked at the wound. "It'll be alright." She smiled, taking out her Kit. "Let me see the wound."
"Ow! It hurts!" The boy cried in pain, but obeyed Hope. Hope looked at the wound; luckily, it was just a cut.
"OK, this is going to hurt for just a second, OK?" Hope said gently, about to spray some antiseptic. All of a sudden, she had a feeling, a feeling she never had before. As if in a trance, she grabbed the foot and concentrated her mind on the wound. As she did so, the wound closed itself and the skin healed over the wound with a glow of green light. Hope opened her eyes and looked at the now-perfect foot. She didn't know what just happened.
The owner of the Orphanage, however, saw this and immediately got on the phone. "Recluse Internal Security? We've got a problem..."
"We've got one!" Luck said happily, giggling as she pointed at the screen.
Luck was wearing a red tank top with red leather pants and red leather boots. She had on red satin gloves and had a slightly torn red cape. Her long black hair bounced up and down as she jumped in joy, and her eyes contained great joy behind her small red mask.
"We don't have alot of time, Luck! Where is it?" Gabriel asked, looking over the monitor.
Gabriel was wearing a skin-tight blue shirt with long blue pants and blue metal boots, his outfit complete with metal gloves. His short, curly brown hair stood still as he moved in a hurry, but he had on no mask to cover the concern in his eyes.
"It looks like the Orphanage! Alright! Let's go get those Recluse bastards!" Faith yelled, pumping her fist in the air.
Faith was wearing a yellow flowing satin top, as well as a satin yellow bottom that was thin enough for anyone to see through to her yellow two-piece bikini underneath. She also wore yellow stiletto boots and long, leather gloves. Her long blonde hair flowed around her face as she looked her teammates eagerly.
"And we have to save the new Hero as well, right Faith?" Michael asked, smiling as he put a hand on Faith's shoulder.
Michael's entire body was covered in his green metal super suit, from his neck down to his toes. He smiled as his short, straight black hair and sharp eyes disappeared as he put on his green battle helmet.
For the next few hours, Hope went thought her usual daily routine as if in a daze. She kept on thinking about what had happened earlier, and tried to understand just HOW she could have healed her friend. She was still thinking this as the owner of the orphanage announced that everyone would be going to bed earlier today. He didn't give a reason. All of the orphans shared on BIG bedroom that was stacked with bunkbeds. The bare wood floor creaked heavily as Hope went to every orphan's bed and made sure they were okay as she did every night. She felt very responsible as the oldest one in the orphanage. However, this time she heard the owner open the front door of the orphanage. She peeked out the bedroom and down the hall of the orphanage... and her blood ran cold.
"Is the child here?" One of the Recluse Exterminators asked, his sword glistening in the small amount of light. Even though it was night, and even though she could hardly see down the hall, the conversation was clear as a bell to Hope.
"Yes, I had her put to bed early. So..." The owner smiled. "Do I get a reward?"
The Recluse Exterminators looked at him. There were 5 altogether, all armed with swords, letting Hope know that this meant they were Recluse Exterminator Swords (there are several different Exterminator types, all identifiable by the weapon they wield).
"Yes, you do deserve a reward." The Exterminator said coldly, and Hope heard the unmistakable swipe of a sword, and then a choking sound. "For not telling us about this SOONER." In the dim light, Hope could make out the owner's head fall off of his body and onto the barewood floor.
"Oh my God..." Hope whispered, and the Exterminators turned to her.
"Who's there?" The Exterminators demanded, running toward Hope. Hope quickly ran back into the bedroom, and immediately yelled and hollered.
"EVERYONE GET UP!!! RUN, RECLUSE IS HERE!" She yelled, and immediately every child began running around and screaming. Thinking that it would take time to find her through all the children, Hope headed for the fire exit of the orphanage. Looking back, however, Hope saw a horrible, unforgettable sight.
The Exterminators were swinging their swords, swiping through the children with ease. The children began shout and cry as they realized their friends were being killed right before their eyes. Hope herself saw a head fly off in one direction, and another orphan screamed in pain as her left arm was cut off. With another swipe, the girl ceased screaming.
"EVERYONE, FOLLOW ME!!!" Hope yelled desperately, and immediately she helped the closest 6 orphans escape throught the fire exit, Hope following the Orphans onto the street as the Exterminators, now finished with everyone in the orphanage, turned to Hope.
"She is the one! Get her!" The Exterminators yelled, pointing their blood-drenched swords at Hope. Hope ran quickly, but the Exterminators were much faster than she was. Falling down onto the dirt, the Exterminators were upon her.
One of the Exterminators raised his sword, but just then...
"Don't hurt Nurse Hope!" One of the remaining orphans yelled, jumping on top of Hope. The others followed suit.
"No... DON'T!" Hope yelled in utter terror, but the orphans just didn't understand...
One by one, the Exterminators lifted each orphan off Hope's body and killed them, then grabbed another orphan. Eventually, all six were dead.
"You're friends can't help you now, so DIE!" The Exterminator closest to her said wickedly, but just as he raised his sword his body was engulfed in a blast of energy.
"What?!" The other four Exterminators looked in the direction of the blast, and the one closest to the dead Exterminator was greeted with a green metal fist that went right through his skull, killing him.
"HAAAA!" Gabriel yelled in anger, kicking another Exterminator in the stomach, felling him. He then used his leg while the Exterminator was on the ground to snap the Exterminator's neck, killing him.
"You are truly monsters." Luck said, and with that she concentrated. One of the Exterminators held his head in pain, and soon his brain functions stopped altogether, and he fell dead.
"Why you sons of-" The last Exterminator began, but Luck fired another blast of energy and the Exterminator was engulfed in the energy, and died.
Hope looked at the Heroes. "I... I thought..." Her mind floated back to the picture of Statesman she saw in her local newspaper all those years ago. "...you were dead..." She then fainted.
"Hey, Hope!" One of the orphans called out to her. Hope watched them play in the orphanage, and then...
"Hope! Nurse Hope!" The children screamed, the Exterminators slicing them to pieces. The Exterminators turned to her, but then the Heroes showed up and promptly killed them.
"Hope! Nurse Hope!" The children said, and Hope turned to see them as angels. "Live on, Hope! We died so that you could live! Please, live on!" The orphans said, flying up to heaven. "Live on, Hope! Hope..."
"Hope? Are you awake?" Faith asked, rubbing on Hope's arm. Hope groaned and got up, looking around her new surroundings.
Hope was in some type of underground area, as she could tell with all of the rocks around. However, the area also had several VERY modern computers that seemed to be watching several areas of the Empire. Looking around the dimly lit cavern, she saw the four Heroes that had saved her.
"Are you OK?" The one in blue asked, stepping forward.
"Who... are you?" Hope asked, looking at each of the Heroes.
"Probably the last Heroes left in the world." The one in green sighed, then stepped forward. "You're lucky, Recluse's goons would've-"
"How can you say that!" Hope lashed out, tears forming in her eyes. "I lost... EVERYONE! They DIED because of me!" She yelled, then began to sob. Luck began to step forward, but Gabriel stopped her with a wave of his hand.
"Look..." Faith said, putting her hand on Hope's shoulder. "I know how you feel..."
"No you don't!" Hope yelled, knocking away Faith's hand. "You have no idea how it feels to lose EVERYTHING! You DON'T know how I feel!" Hope continued to cry.
"Yes, I do..." Faith sighed, stepping back. "We ALL do." Hope looked up, and the others nodded.
"Look, I know you're friends wouldn't want their sacrifices to be in vain." Faith said, moving back towards Hope again. "Look, I know you're still in mourning, but we're the last ones to stand against Lord Recluse. If you really want to honor their memory, help bring back the life Recluse took from them." Tears formed in Faith's eyes, surprising Hope. "The life he took from ALL of us."
"Let's leave her alone for awhile." Gabriel said, gesturing towards the door. "Hope, you can help our cause, and you know it."
Hope looked up with her tear-streaked face at Gabriel, remembering what she did at the Orphanage. "That's why..." She began, then her voice trailed off.
"That's why." Gabriel confirmed, and the others walked to the door on the wall of the room they were in. "I'm not asking you to make a choice right now. Just please, think it over." Gabriel added softly. "Please." Then Michael and Luck left. Faith, raising herself from near Hope, wiped away her tears and then left the room. Gabriel followed, closing the door behind him.
Hope was only in the room for half an hour, but to her it felt like an eternity. She thought of the other orphans, her friends, her power...
"Live on, Hope." She remembered her dream.
"Nurse Hope! Nurse Hope!" She remembered her nickname and smiled through her tears.
"Nurse Hope..." She laughed softly to herself. Sighing, she got up. "I can never repay what you did for me." Hope sighed, wiping at her tear-soaked face. "But I can make damn sure that what you did helps out thousands of others."
She opened the door, and the other Heroes wheeled about in their chairs. They were sitting around a large, round table that had a hologram machine in the center; apparently this was a conference room.
They looked at Hope. Hope, after just looking at them for awhile, finally nodded.
"Alright!" Luck said with glee, jumping up and down. "It's so great to have you on the team, Hope!" She leapt out of her seat and hugged Hope. Hope blushed slightly.
"I... uh..." Faith got up, a box in her hands. She handed it to Hope. "I kind of make all the costumes around here, so..." She blushed as Hope opened the box. "I hope you like it."
Hope opened the box and looked at the outfit inside. Smiling, she quickly went back into the other room, stripped off her dirty clothes, and tried her costume on.
Emerging from the room again, Hope blushed slightly as the others saw her in her outfit.
She was wearing a dark purple leather jacket over a light purple tank top. Her tight, purple shorts went down to just above her knees, and matched her purple boots and purple gloves. Her long, brown hair flowed around her small, purple mask that only covered her soft eyes as she stood in front of her new teammates.
Gabriel rose up, smiling as he extended his had towards Hope. "Welcome to Team Legacy, Hope."

Phew! That was a long Chapter! What do you think? Please Review! -
Sister Psyche and Back Alley Brawler fell down "dead", then reformed, now glowing with Light Energy once again. They were prepared to to help Super Shard, but all of a sudden...
"Huh?!" Tick-Tok yelled, looking down at his body as he saw Synapse's dark hand rip through his torso. Turning, he saw Synapse and Bastion standing behind him, glowing with Dark Energy. With a smile, Synapse ripped out all of Tick-Tok's internal systems, "killing" him.
"I guess Mr. Dark got to you, too..." Tick-Tok breathed, then "died" and reformed, now glowing with Dark Energy.
Meanwhile, Sister Psyche and Back Alley Brawler looked around at the chaos, Super Shard still barely able to hold his own.
"What's going on?" Sister Psyche asked, looking around. Tick-Tock, Synapse, and Bastion approached Sister Psyche and Back Alley Brawler, who quickly jumped back to assist Super Shard.
"Ms. Liberty? Positron?" Back Alley Brawler asked, noticing their "enemies"... -
Well, I thought it was a good opening to a longer story...

So...
How can we expect to have Level 100 available by the time CoV hits shelves? -
Mr. Dark smiled at the Clockwork.
"I'd love to stay and play with all of you, but I have more important matters to attend to."
Tick-Tok fired his bolt at Mr. Dark, but Mr. Dark easily dodged it as he jumped out of the way so fast he couldn't be seen. Looking down, Mr. Dark saw Super Shard looking around in confusion.
"This could be fun..." Mr. Dark smiled to himself, looking back to see the Heroes flying toward him as they found out where he had gone. In an instant, Mr. Dark was able to fell Ms. Liberty, Positron, Back Alley Brawler and Sister Psyche with his Mult-Form Technique. The four Legendary Heroes fell as their bodies reformed, now glowing with Dark Energy. Tick-Tok and Super Shard watched this in horror. Mr. Dark smiled at the two Heroes as the four Legendary Heroes now looked at the two other Heroes with an unmistakable desire to fight.
"As you can see, you two still stand no chance against MY power. Why don't you try yourselves against the now-fallen Legendary Heroes of Paragon?" And with that, Mr. Dark laughed as he flew away, Tick-Tok and Super Shard preparing themselves as the four fallen Heroes prepared to charge... -
"What is this power?" Requiem asked himself, placing his glowing black hands on the bars of his cell. With the gentlest of movements, he easily broke out of his prison. The alarms of the Brickstown Prison went off, the Police Drones acting as they were programmed.
"Escape Attempt! Escape Attempt!" The Police Drones whirred, all 50 that were assigned in the Prison now facing Requiem, their tranquilizers set. Unfortunately, unlike the Heroes in Paragon...
"With my new power, not even the greatest Heroes in Paragon are a challenge to me." Requiem said, disposing of ALL of the Police Drones in one deft attack, so fast that it would appear as a blur to most humans. Requiem turned to all of the other Minions, Lieutenants, and Bosses held in the prison. Even the Clockwork King, Doctor Vahzilok, Countess Crey, and countless other ArchVillains were imprisoned here, along with all of their henchmen, and ALL of them glowing with Dark Energy.
Requiem broke all of them out, smiling as he got on a pedastal in the jail as the other ArchVillains rose next to him. "Fellow Villains of Paragon City, our time has come!" Requiem declared, raising his fist into the air. "We shall crush the Heroes with our newfound power! Now Go!" And with that, the Villains destroyed the Prison and began to spread across the city, challenging every Hero they could find with their power.
Doctor Vahzilok tested out the gun on his hand, and found that it now blasted a beam that could destroy an entire city block. The Clockwork King's electrical blasts were now blasts of Dark Energy that destroyed everything around him, and Requiems own power had increase 100 fold. Requiem laughed as he flew into the air, thankful to whoever it was that granted him such power... -
Mr. Dark growled slightly as he saw the events unfold in Atlas Park.
"If every Hero and Villain and Hero in Paragon City is now an Agent..." Mr. Dark thought suddenly. "Does that mean...?"
Mr. Dark's thoughts were interrupted as Positron, Ms. Liberty, Back Alley Brawler and Sister Psyche of the Freedom Phalanx landed next to him, glowing with Light Energy.
"I can tell you know something about what's going on in the city..." Sister Psyche demanded, stepping forward. "But even I can't tell what. Who are, and what do you know of what's been going on in Paragon City?"
Mr. Dark smiled inwardly. "Well, I can see this could get interesting." In an instant, he was on top of Atlas City Hall, looking at the group of Heroes who were still on the building where he used to be standing just a moment ago.
"If you wish to gain the answers you seek..." Mr. Dark smiled. "You have to earn them!" Mr. Dark braced himself for an attack as the four legendary Heroes charged him. -
Mr. Light was surprised as Tick-Tok called out his name.
"Of course!" Mr. Light thought. "Now that he's a Light Agent, he remembers..." Mr. Light flew down to him.
"I'm sure you have alot of questions, Tick-Tok..." Mr. Light said, facing Tick-Tok with a solemn expression. "Unfortunately, I don't have any answers myself. Could you please help the other Heroes here? I need to find my Master, and to do that I need to find Mr. Dark." And with that, Mr. Light flew off... -
Tick-Tok ran over to where the building were falling, but before arriving at the buildings he was attacked by a 5th Column Unteroffizer.
The Unteroffizer fired an Energy Blast at Tick-Tok, BARELY missing his head, but blowing away his arm.
Tick-Tok fired an Electrical Blast with his good arm... at least, he meant to. What he fired, though, was a blast of pure Light Energy, holding more power that Tick-Tok had EVER wielded. The blast blew right through the Offizer's chest and the 5th Column fell down, his body turning into white mist and then he emerged, glowing with Light Energy. The Unteroffizer then began to run off, heading toward a group of Minions that were glowing with black light a few blocks from where Tick-Tok was standing...
Tick-Tok tried to make sense of this as he felt his shoulder that once held his mechanical arm begin to tingle. Looking down, he saw that his mechanical arm was growing back! In the next instant, he was completely healed!
Tick-Tok headed to a nearby store window and looked at himself. He was shocked to find that he was glowing with white light! The electricity and Light Energy was flowing around him in a freakin AURA!
Tick-Tok checked his systems to measure his energy, then found that his energy was too high for his systems to measure! Tick-Tok tried to absorb all this as he walked on... -
Mr. Light flew over Steel Canyon, the sun still just barely over the horizon. He was soon unsettled as he saw that the Villains now had strength and speed that almost equal to himself and Mr. Dark! He stopped short as he saw what looked like Heroes entering Steel Canyon, but they glowed like Agents of Light...
An explosion caught Mr. Light's attention. Looking to his left, a group of 5th Column MINIONS had toppled an entire building... with their SHOTGUNS. The 5th Column moved to another building, their shotguns firing pure Dark Energy instead of shells...
"What's going on?" Mr. Light thought. "They have our power, but they aren't as in control of it as Mr. Dark and I are... if this keeps up, Paragon City will be a wreck by the end of the day!" -
Mr. Light stood on the skyscraper in Steel Canyon as the dawn broke across the horizon. Even before the sunlight revealed the city, he had known something to be wrong.
"Mr. Dark must be responsible for this..." Mr. Light thought, observing the various Minions on the street beginning to realize their new Dark Powers.
"And the Light Void hasn't contacted me since last night..." Mr. Light thought. "What's going on?"
Mr. Dark watched as the first few Heroes entered Atlas Park, the early risers glowing in the ealry morning sun with white light.
"What does Mr. Light think he's doing?" Mr. Dark thought angrily. "And why didn't the Dark Void warn me of this?" Mr. Dark watched the Heroes begin to observe each other, asking each other questions in confusion about their new Light Powers. "Mr. Light must be behind this." Mr. Dark said, disappearing in a black mist. -
"Help me!" The woman screamed, running down the dark alleys of Kings Row at Midnight, the two Mortificators chasing after her furiously. The Morts lured her into a corner, where she had no where left to run.
"Don't worry, girl..." One of the Mortificators breathed. "We don't want you... just those legs..." He and his partner took out their butcher's knives. The woman screamed in horror.
"Stop right there, evil doers!" A female voice said behind them, and the two Morts turned to find two Heroes behind them, one male and one female. "It's time to go to jail!" The female Hero said valiantly. The two Heroes charged together.
And then, it happened...
With a flash of black and white light, the Mortificators and the Heroes seemed to glow with new energy. The Mortificators seemed to be glowing with Dark Energy now, their bodies glowing with black light. Likewise, the Heroes now seemed to be glowing with Light Energy, their bodies glowing with white light. This caused the two to stumble in their charge. The male Hero stumble cost him, as the Mortificator rammed down his arm, the blade in his hand now many times more powerful than it was before, and it went right across the Heroes' neck. The female Hero was able to compose herself quicker, and nailed the Vahzilok in the head, her hand going straight through the Mort's head. The female Hero pulled back in horror, but what happened next was even more interesting: Both the male Hero and the Mort turned into mist and reformed, but now the male Hero was glowing with black light and the Mort was glowing in white light. The Mort turned to his partner, and likewise the Heroes turned on each other. The male Hero, after a brief fight with his former partner, was able punch a hole through the female Heroes' chest, and the Dark Mort, unfortunately, was able to overcome the Light Mort. Now all glowing with Dark Energy, the four turned on the woman, whose screams could be heard all throughout Kings Row.

(Author's Note: This RP Thread is a continuation from the last RP Thread I made, Light and Darkness: Open RP. This RP Thread will make more sense for those of you who've read my last one, but ANYONE can participate! For those of you who don't know yet, the plot is this: Basically, one day every Hero and Villain in Paragon City wakes up to find that they are about 20 times more powerful then they were when they went to bed. The Heroes (ALL of them) have become Agents of Light, and the Villains (ALL of them, INCLUDING the Minions!) have become Agents of Darkness, with the poor citizens of Paragon caught in the cross fire! Mr. Light and Mr. Dark begin to investigate this, and find that some other interesting "rules" have also changed: whenever a Light Agent defeats a Dark Agent (or vice-versa), instead of that Agent dying, he/she is merely "reborn" an Agent of the other side, until he/she is "killed" by an Agent on the opposite side, in which case he/she will be "reborn" on the other side again, until he/she is "killed" by the other Agents... see what I mean? Mr. Light and Mr. Dark, however, find that this rule does NOT apply to them for some reason (even if they're killed by a member of the other side, they are still "reborn" the same type of Agent), and more interestingly, both Mr. Light and Mr. Dark CANNOT find their respective Voids (the Light Void and the Dark Void)! This should be an interesting Thread, and there's a good chance that your "Hero" could become a "Villain", and vice-versa! All are welcome, and I hope this Thread is more successful than my last one! -
Mr. Dark smiled as he saw the Legendary Ms. Liberty and Statesman arrive.
"Ah, the great Statesman arrives at last." Mr. Dark chuckled to himself.
Mr. Light saw Statesman arrive, and knew he had to warn him what was going on. Mr. Light appeared in front of Statesman with a flash of white light.
"Statesman..." Mr. Light said, the other Heroes looking at the Hero that had come out of nowhere. "I feel obligated to warn you that by engaging this creature you will be dealing with not only a monstrosity but also the very Evil the Universe is based on." Mr. Light narrowed his eyes at Statesman. "I can help you." Mr. Light turned to Vondor, Tick-Tok, Silver Haze, Sol-Ar, Big-Ben, and Captain Fletcher. He then turned back to Statesman and Ms. Liberty. "But you'll need become far more powerful than before." Mr. Light smiled. "I have some abilities that can help you to that end." -
Mr. Light could see that Sol-Ar was now in need of help, so he ran quickly and tapped Sol-Ar on the shoulder once more, powering Sol-Ar once again with more Light Energy as the fight continued. This caused Sol-Ar to gain the upper-hand, but then Mr. Dark added some more of his own Dark Energy to the creature and the creature's blows soon surpassed the power of Sol-Ar's, and eventually Sol-Ar once again found himself knocked back, then healed by the same Light Energy...
-
Captain Fletcher's Ice Blaster Brigade began to attack, shooting their holding and freezing blasts at the creature. Just before they reached the creature, however, Mr. Dark intercepted each blast once again, his body moving so fast it looked like the creature had put up a black shield.
"Fire Blasters! ATTACK!" Captain Fletcher yelled, not letting the original brigade go to waste.
The Fire Blasters opened their incredibly Fire Powers, an Inferno approaching the beast. Once again, however, Mr. Dark easily negated the assault.
"Mind Controllers!" Captain Fletcher shouted.
Mr. Dark smiled as the Mind Controller unleashed their powers, and as Mr. Dark stood ready to deflect them, Mr. Light used his power to increase the force behind the Mind Controller's attacks, and Mr. Dark soon found himself overwhelmed, and let the attacks go through.
The creature wailed in pain as it found itself dazed and confused... -
Mr. Light saw the hooded Hero about to get trampled and once again moved him out of the creature's range so fast that it appeared to be a blur of white light to everyone (including Vondor). Placing Vondor at a safe distance, Mr. Light quickly touched Vondor's blade and then disappeared again before Vondor knew what was going on.
Vondor observed his blade, as it appeared now to be glowing with a dim, white light, one that he wasn't responsible for. The power seemed oddly familiar... -
The fight between the creature and Sol-Ar continued, but eventually Mr. Dark intervened. Increasing the creature's energy temporarily, the creature began to grow with a black light and Sol-Ar realized his hits were becoming less and less effective and the creature's blows were becoming more and more destructive, and with one final blow the creature nailed Sol-Ar across the head, sending him flying away he landed in the water of Perez, his neck broken.
Suddenly, however, some white light overtook his body and his neck and wounds were healed, and as he got up the white light left as fast as it had come.
He noticed that the glow on his hands had now extened down his arms and was spreading across his legs, as well...
"What's going on?" Sol-Ar wondered... -
The monster turned to Tick-Tok. With a roar, the creature swiped at Tick-Tok and destroyed him with one swipe, Tick-Tok's body parts flying everywhere.
However, almost as fast as Tick-Tok had been destroyed, white light surrounded each individual piece and in the next instant Tick-Tok's pieces reformed back into Tick-Tok, at perfect health.
Tick-Tok looked around to see who had helped him, but couldn't find any Heroes around. He began to charge up another electrical blast, and then realized that his blasts were operating at 125% capacity, not much of an increase, but an increase none the less. Tick-Tok looked at the creature... -
As the Heroes prepare to make a stand at the Gate, the creature is encased in a black fog as the creature's body appears to become transparent.
The Heroes begin to attack the Villain, then realize that their attacks were only going through the creature, as it had become intangible. The creature glided through the Heroes and the gate like a ghost, and then as it arrived on the other side, in Atlas, the black fog seemed to leave him as he turned back to the Heroes, his body once more solid... -
As the creature approaches Sol-Ar and Big-Ben, it pounces on the two Heroes. When it lands, however, the Heroes have already been moved out of its range. In a flash of white light, Big-Ben and Sol-Ar are healed, and the creature looks around for its prey.
Sol-Ar returns his gaze to his hands, and Big-Ben looks around to see what happened, yet cannot see any Heroes that could have saved them, let alone heal them... -
Sol-Ar's attack would have been at least half successful, had it not been for Mr. Dark's intervention. To Sol-Ar and everyone else, it looked like the creature was impervious to his blows. However, what wasn't seen by all but the highest sources was Mr. Dark quickly blocking the punches, his body moving so fast that to Sol-Ar it looked like the creature had a black shield up. In anger, the creature knocked Sol-Ar back onto the pavement, the attack injuring Sol-Ar.
Almost instantly, however, a white light seemed to shine around Sol-Ar for a moment, and in the next instant he was healed. Looking at his hands, Sol-Ar saw that they were glowing with white energy, the awesome power new to Sol-Ar... -
The creature stomps down on the British Hero... or does he? The instant the creature stomps down, the Hero is gone in a white flash, and creature stomps the solid concrete, leaving large crack in the road.
Mr. Light quickly rejuvenates the British Hero and then leaps away before the Hero knows whats going on... -
As Mr. Dark and Mr. Light observed their new mortality, the robed figure returned to its origin in the Cosmos, assured of its deed. However, when the robed figure returned it had to deal with the rest of the highest sources in the Universe.
These were of course the gods that had originally created the Universe, and there was no higher source than them. There were 7 all together, and the other 6 looked at the robed figure in anger as he/she returned. They spoke with words that were indecipherable, uncomprehensible to all mortals, but were clear enough to each other.
"Why did you mettle in the affairs of the Dark and Light Ones?" One of the gods asked, his voice echoing into forever. "You know that is against the Treaty we signed with them when we first created the Universe; there dominion would be seperate from ours, and their affairs free to their own whims."
"They were meddling too much." The robed One said in self-defense. "Why let Ones with such power meddle in a world like Earth?"

Mr. Dark and Mr. Light felt their powers return, and Mr. Dark smiled to Mr. Light.
"Shall we continue?" Mr. Dark sneered, and Mr. Light stared coldly back. In an instant, they were gone again. -
