Just currently doing a manti TF.
Lvl 40 PP elites sparsely appearing, but where they do appear, 2 and assorted correct level chaff in a spawn.
This appears to be the old bug that was fixed reappearing. -
-
Just check the test server boards like everybody else does
-
I started out with an idea based on a thorny devil and ended up with this .
Not a great in game picture and the thorny devil picture I worked off was a somewhat different colour. -
Quote:I petitioned, got a GM in, they completed mish.Same thing happened to me twice today. I tried to start the Oro Flashback "The Freakshow War" twice. Gave me the Bricks AE building invisible door as Minotaur described.
How do you get this fixed? Bug it? Petition it?
Just tried to reset the Flashback and got the same bugged door location. Attempted to start "Unity War", got the same bugged door location. So 3 for 3 fails on Flashback in Bricks, the invisible AE mission door.
Just curious.
One mish in freakshow war, 2 paper mishs for me. -
Getting the GM to complete the mission for that kill all is probably the route to a record time if the GM is reasonably fast in arriving ...
-
Out of about 12 missions I've had in Bricks over the last couple of days, I've had 3 at doors that don't exist. 1 dropped and 2 GM calls.
The offending doors are around the AE building (2 at the same location on the steps outside, one on the counter of the ground floor inside) and my guess is that they're the old locations from before the AE building was dropped in.
Before anybody asks, no they're not below, I actually get to 0 feet from the marker and the mish porter confirms the locations. -
This is close to my build but not exactly right (my defence numbers are a little higher than this, but I can't see what's wrong and the game is down). There are several ways to build a SS/WP and this is only one, but I went to cap F/C/E/N defences and up S/L. I also didn't want to spend an absolute fortune, so only used one of the def/end and def/end/rech which are the expensive parts of the kinetic combat set and slotted the KD proc for added mitigation.
The force feedback procs go off often enough for perma rage, despite the gaussian's set not being close to soft capped for recharge. (Note mids can't handle this proc so the recharge times are inaccurate).

Moonfire, 6 of us, set to -1 x8 to maximise wolves/vamps. -
Quote:All that changed when they added the market and integrated the Euro servers into the same servers as the US.TBH, one of the main reasons for us having our own server farm in the first place, was maintenance times. Now they've shafted us on that, and gotten shot of our own NC office, what REALLY is the point of having EU servers anymore, hmmm?
Just merge the sodding server lists and get it over with.
I'm a UK based US server player, and the old times were much more convenient for me, but I'll live with it. It's the Aussies that get seriously messed about by this change, and I would suggest moving the maint back to its old time for their sake.
This will also screw over East coast US players who (as I sometimes did when I was working) play between 7 and 8 am before heading for work, so I'd love to know what the rationale for the change is. -
Quote:This is very bad, and will seriously reduce the TFs I do for fun rather than purely for the rewards.I didn't ask permission to quote the PM that gave me this info, but it said that allowing players to change the level of mobs in the TFs caused "all kinds of problems". Whether those problems are technical or balance-related, I don't know. Edit: This was specifically in response to a question about "invincible" TFs, and the response was that they, specifically, are being targeted, not just -1 TFs.
-1 is handy as it actually made large team positron TFs much more bearable than before.
I would typically do most TFs on unyielding unless the team was toward the low end of the level range, I thought SSK would give me more flexibility not less. Please restore the old difficulty system which worked fine on TFs, with the new SKing rules if the new system cannot be fixed. -
Quote:Nooooo, the riktispec is unplayable on any difficulty less than +1 as it insists on spawning -2s otherwise, meaning all your knockdown becomes knockback.
- Added restrictions to prevent player difficulty from affecting Task / Strike Forces
Also the -1 setting is extremely useful if you don't want the leader of the TF to be the highest level toon on it for travel power or stability of connection reasons, although I can see it makes the "Master of" badges too easy to obtain.
Please apply this change to "Master of" attempts only, or simply disallow the -1 setting on TFs, and exemp the party to the highest level member of the party regardless of who the leader is.
This change will also make Smurphy cry as he runs all his ITFs on invincible and they're fun. -
On a team, my ElM/EA plays exactly like a scrapper, solo it's completely different.
-
Quote:Brutes are the obvious answer.hey guys! my question is simple. I am in love with scrappers, i find it hard to play any other blue side. Problem is i am ready to try red side. So i want to know simple if i love scrappers so much (they have solid dps and solid defense, whats not to love?!) what Villian AT do you think i would enjoy playing?!
p.s i have never played red side, AT ALL.
thx in advance
Other candidates:
Stalker - since they were buffed, perfectly playable scrapper style with the mother of all alpha strikes. Love my ElM/EA which I softcapped to most things in the mid 30s.
Once you get a vill to 50, night widow which is a claws/spines - SR type hybrid and plays very well. -
Katana/SR - I like this combo so much I have 2 of them at 50 on different servers. Smooth levelling with softcapped melee from early on with DA, then respec it out when you softcap properly. Reasonably cheap to make this softcapped and very survivable.
ElM/shield - liking this one, lvl 29 so far, got a glimpse of how much fun it's going to be when there was a bubbler on our SPTF and I was beating the tanks to the groups and going to town on them.
Love/hate relationship - claws/invul, don't like the KB on shockwave, sort of need the mitigation, disliked the toon enough it took me 53 months to hit 50, got energy torrent at 47, and then started loving it.
Dislike - MA/any - having big KB on your main ST attack at lowish levels an inconvenience too far for me. -
They said there'd be a double XP weekend after I16 not necessarily the first weekend after. In fact it would be crazy to do it the first weekend after an issue before the stability patches that usually follow go through.
-
Quote:Building for defence from IO sets and throwing in the parry from katana I would expect to be able to build a very survivable toon.I believe when slotted up, power sink can drain 80% of an end bar from even level targets. And two or three ticks of a slotted lightning field will finish it off. Surviving the alpha is, of course, always a concern. With tough and other shields, as well as a heal, you should be able to survive. However, like someone else said, you probably won't be able to solo +4/x8. Having some sort of CC would help, maybe a stun or knockdown effect such as shockwave from claws.

Quote:And for the record I used to play full contact american football with no padding as well as rugby.I think it's cool the Brits hang out on Victory. But don't talk about sports.
American: Rugby is gay.
Brit: Why do you wear all that padding in American football, you pansy?
Victory seems to have a lot of Europeans not just brits, we in Eurocore have 3SGs and 3VGs full of them. (www.eurocore.org) -

I used to live in lower Michigan and delivered alot of goods to NJ and NY! I know the states most of the posters here live in!
Except the Englander. Though I wish I could visit the Brits sometime! Cheerios! -
Quote:More to add, borea mission, 250 ish eligible for drops badguys, 1 common recipe, solo +0 x8, farcical. For anyone looking for data regarding this, there's a great thread on it.

Thinking of volunteering something like one spot on 3 positron TFs on separate days ie the best part of 200 merits and potentially quite a bit of XP which should take a total of around 4 hours, maybe less with the I16 changes. I need to reoptimise my toon in the light of the I16 changes though.
Will probably be spot 3 with me and a buddy doing most of the donkey work.
If you want to get in touch with me by PM closer to the time, feel free. I'm in the UK, so people would have to be able to play at a time that's not 4am here.
**Edit have spoken to my co-conspirator, definitely up for this. -
/EA is easy to softcap to all but neg energy (and psionics), I was pretty much softcapped to S/L/F/C/E by level 38, negative energy came later. Eradications, aegises, kinetic combats are your main friends. I took shadow meld for eating psionic alphas.
I took tough/weave and the toon plays very well. I don't have my exact build in mids, but another trick I used which also keeps the cost down and adds some mitigation is to use acc/dam, dam/rech and the KD proc from kinetic combat plus only one of the expensive dam/end and dam/end/rech. The knockdown particularly on the assassin strike meant that sometimes dangerous stuff never got to hit me. -
No, you're the reason I CAN purple out my WS, you can afford to buy what I'm selling.

Quote:My 50 PB has a cheapass frankenslotted IO build with all the slots in the forms and plenty of procs, and SS/stealth taken at an early level to go with the vetporter. It has got a new lease of life as being the best tank available for the lowish level TFs. It exemps stunningly well as on a normal 8 man team I can have 85% res (all but psi) from level 20 up. If another tank turns up, I'm a perfectly acceptable blaster.I'm kind of at the same point with my 41 Peacebringer. Too late I realized that I really like Warshades better, and then I got several blasters up to 40 and one of them to 50 and... my PB feels like a weak blaster/blapper most of the time. I just like specialists more I guess.
I do want to get my PB to 50, but I really need to figure out a good IO build first I guess. -
Shouldn't be a problem, 8 man spawns of +4s will push your friend to his limits even with your support
