  1. Looks like they've heard the outrage, but not clear they know what to do:

    Greetings Players,

We’ve heard your concerns, and are going to try this out on a Trial bases. Beginning Thursday, October 22nd, we will begin a “Trial” Global Server Maintenance schedule. If we find that we need to move to another Maintenance schedule, we’ll re-evaluate our options at that time.

Thank you for your continued support!

I'll let you know the times as soon as I know.
    From Niviene

Be interested to see what the new times are. I'm in the UK so makes little difference to me (2pm became midday) but can see the current schedule makes a mess of Australian playtimes.

Exactly, have done this before for other reasons too to reset missions on TFs pre I16.

Not strongest but good, also, what is your attack chain, get some procs in the attacks you use most for extra DPS, preferably different damage types and the purple damage procs.
  4. Didn't make a lot of cash, most of it was from rolling all the merits that the 2 toons I got to 50 had. 45 rolls, 2 LotG 7.5s, 2 miracle uniques, 4 oblit quads and a load of junk, very few of the 15-25 million items although the ToDs came in very handy for my elec/shield scrapper.

A few things that had sat around for a while went.

Common IOs went fairly slowly as some people dumped a load on the market at a price lower than mine. Didn't really notice any difference with them.

Level 30 team running the Shaper arc set at +2 spawned a level 35 Barracuda

EBs don't seem to be affected. PCWK was level appropriate as an EB when I ran the Tina Mac mission for him.
IIRC Nosferatu has a minimum level of 43, so that case is different, the other two are this bug.

Exactly what I did, 8 July was 60 months.

    Vet rewards

Anybody else had trouble with these not awarding correctly in the last few days ?

I get my vet rewards consistently on the 6th-8th of months 1/4/7/10. It's now 13/10 and no 63 month reward.

It's also noticeable at -1, the diff then goes up to 0.

As others have said, been around forever, and most commonly happens on train missions where people enter from a different zone before the mission owner goes in.
  9. OK, I was having problems with the UI not appearing

    Joined team
Headed for banner (actually headed for rest of team)
    Got AE UI not event
    Quit team
    Got event UI
Joined a different team, kept event UI

At no point did the banners appear on my map, this was because I didn't have the "special" radio button checked on my minimap. Was that added with a default of unchecked at some point ?

It makes it a little trickier if Eochai is standing right on the banner location (KR NW loc)

Event is fun, but you do need a lot of people, suspect off peak on low pop servers no chance of completing. Failing by about 2 seconds to spawn the aspect with plenty of people rather frustrating.

The distance to the aspect could do with updating a touch faster.

The event UI was not appearing for the first time till a couple of seconds after I'd landed at a banner, not from 250 yards.
  10. I just hit 50 on my elec/shield, and once you get it reasonably well slotted, it's an amazing off tank. Me and 2 lowbies, +2x7 rikti, BU, LR into one group, shield charge another, no minions in either and no longer over the aggro cap etc.
  11. Another report of this:

Tina's arc, I was 47, mish was 45, set to +3 on a full team.

Most of the badguys 48, Antimatter 52, took diff down to -1 and he spawned at 43.

The AVs on Tina's arc are minimum level 43, those on Maria's 48. I believe the problem may be something like that there are two versions of the AVs that appear in both, and if you need one above the 43-47 that existed in a normal invincible pre I16 Tina, you get the level 48 one that then adjusts by your difficulty so goes up to 48/49 +3. Either that or it relates to the STF fix.
  12. I reported this same bug to the good arbiter happening in Bricks, it's not just FF.

Radio mishs and 2nd mish of Manti TF in bricks and a Neal Kendrick arc mish.

One slotting tip, if you do go SS, get a force feedback chance of +rech in footstomp, when surrounded it goes off at least half the time and makes a serious difference how fast FS recharges.

Have you never heard of Kim Jong Il?
Yeah, but as I understand it that's Kim (surname) Jong (first name) Il (middle name) so not a good example.

  16. One thing I'm not clear about.

If we need GM assistance to fix the consequences of a bug, we clearly petition to summon a GM. Should we bug it as well or should the GM do that for us ?

  18. The big difference between stone and ice is end use.

To get decent protection out of ice or non granite stone, you need to run a lot of toggles. Ice has the tools to enable you to do this, stone doesn't.

Sure you can get round this with IOs and physical perfection, but 26-44 you will suck compared to an ice tank for that reason alone.

Also, you are slower out of granite than in it as you need to run rooted out of granite, and don't need it most of the time when in it. Rooted has a bigger move penalty than granite does.

Unless you're building a tank for something specific like farming psi mobs, an ice tank outperforms a non granite stone in most normal circumstances. You just have to accept that there are a few missions where you will suck, Antimatter's blue clocks being a prime example.
  19. My WP skipped fitness and went with CP/physical perfection, this allowed me to get energy torrent with a force feedback proc in it to add some decent AoE and recharge and another damage type.

There are many ways to do this, I softcapped my def to F/C/E/N and got my S/L up to 30 ish. I have 3030 hits or so.

I also found it was cheaper and better on the mitigation front to use the kinetic combat proc in place of either the D/E or triple.

I've no idea why they changed ours to match the US times either. Not a huge difference to me usually (it happens around lunchtime over here now). Still, staggering it occasionally would show a less US-centric approach which might generate a fair bit of good will. Even just occasionally move them forward or back a few hours.
Sorry, mine was a sloppy post, what I meant was if they patch, and the patch affects the market software, since it is a common server, the Euro and US servers and clients have to be on the same version of the software, so both sets of servers have to come down at the same time.

They did actually split the servers East/West coast on one occasion for maint, can't remember why, may have been the name purge, but anything that affects the market has to take all of them down including the European servers which are physically in Germany.
  22. I do this, but I just wish that certain things like the stone mallets were not suppressable effects, and it was restricted to the auras. Swinging empty hands looks silly.
  23. My experience of EA is as a stalker, but I think the observations are valid, and I have several 50 ice tanks so know typed defence fairly well.

I didn't have much of a problem with EA, but there are some missions on which you are just horrible if you want to take a substantial part of the aggro for a large group. My toon is elec/EA and end drain was a substantial part of the mitigation in places.

You can softcap EA against smashing, lethal, energy fire and cold fairly easily and at lower levels than some of the other sets. I was softcapped to most things by the late 30s, and you can slot a lot of what you need in the early 30s (eradications and kinetic combats).

Ice tanks suffer similar problems, their psi/toxic mitigation is an aura that debuffs incoming damage 14% (but that adjusts for relative level so usually less) and some toxic resist in their dull pain clone. I've found them to be one of the most survivable tank types with the exception of a few missions. Antimatter's blue clocks are a nightmare as a tank with negligible resists and -100 defence doesn't survive too well on big teams.

My stalker was able to cover the holes for alphas with shadow meld, unfortunately not available to brutes.

    Spend or Hold

While lvl 20 miracle uniques have been going for close to 200M a pop, I've just been buying them with my posi merits. This is because my toon for this is a perma 17 (with a full set of lvl 20 SOs) so the higher level real goodies aren't rollable. I may need to reassess if the price drops too much.

I tend to roll mine at 50 I'm sad to say, the 50s of the "good but not great" recipes just sell for so much more than any other level. Also the sets that stop at 40 are waaaay more lucrative if you actually get 40s.

    My observations of today:

    1) The ToT seemed to work as well as before. Though I was also getting salvage and recipes off kills. So that will help to curb some of the knock-and-run tactics that people have been doing. I'm not sure how the level was working though. Our team had me (the leader) at +0/x1 and a mission holder at +2/x5 but we were consistently getting 53s. Another team was consistently getting 50s. Not sure what was going on with that.

    2) The new zone event is pretty cool and I enjoyed it. But there was some lag and disconnects associated with it that I guess I get for just about any big event. The only downside is that once the "aspect" spawns, nobody knows where it is.

    3) When everyone splits up to find the aspect, it's already dead by the time it's announced. I never got to fight one and I sat through three of the events. They may need more HP or something.

    4) I fought Echoai three times, got six merits, and never a badge. Is he somehow different than the one that normally rewards a badge? Is there a bug? Or was my group simply not doing enough damage? Hard to believe since over half our team was Blasters. And will it be hard to get the Jack badge this year? I never got one last year, and I didn't see Jack on test at all.
    1) it appears to be using a version of the old TF code that adjusts difficulty by team size, I was getting 53s on a team of 8, 52s with 5, 51s with 4.

2/3) agreed, needs a marker on the map so people can get to it before it dies.

    4) Should award a different badge to the Croatoa one if your team does enough damage

You said most of what I wanted to say, maybe I was just unlucky, 25-30 doors of ToT and one treat.
