Quote:I have a badge (but no merits) from a Dr Q about 6-12 months ago where I DCd 2 hours in and it being already past midnight, went to bed half an hour later with still no internet. If you're not in the last mission for enough time to qualify for end-of-mission rewards (no one really knows how much time that is, as it seems to fluctuate), you won't get the merits/badge/whatever. Certainly if you're not in the last mission at all, you won't get the merits/badge/whatever.
The person who stayed logged in throughout but was afk outside the last mission of today's sister psyche got nothing as you described.
This is why I was confused. -
OK, so I'm on a TF, I disconnect half way thru but don't quit TF, the TF completes, should I get either merits or badge ?
If I'm still logged in but not in the mission for the last mission, which rewards should I get ?
I'm confused, because these two situations have occurred, one a while ago to me, one recently to somebody else, and the results were different.
Any thoughts ? -
I don't know where you are based, but you might consider trying to find somewhere else in the world where your stupid o'clock is their prime time.
I do this, am a European that plays in my mornings with Australians in their prime time. Means you can get TFs at odd hours. You just need to find out which server thay play on (Justice for the Aussies). -
Quote:So you had to exploit a different bug (vengeance is not supposed to stack but can be made to do so) to finish it, wonderful ...We were also able to complete the LGTF tonight (Victory server), in the end having to pull out all the pets and triple-Vengeance, then take out Hami before tackling the Green Mitos (after clearing everything else first).
The team consisted of a Scrapper, Blaster, Brute, 2 Widows and 3 Controllers (1 an Emp). I primarily built the team for DPS, knowing about the Mito situation ahead of time. Without eliminating Hami first and doing the Veng thing, we couldn't dent the Mitos. After doing that, the Mitos certainly were anything but pushovers, but defeatable by a team working together.
The fix's fix will be welcome once it hits Live, but I'm glad that at least the LGTF is able to be completed even in its current form (albeit not for just any team or any situation). -
Having wasted 2 and a half hours to get to the stage where we were down to the green mitos and find ourselves utterly unable to hurt them (our fault for turning the difficulty on the earlier missions to stupid and killing everything although we ran that one on +0), I can't believe this change.
I really disliked this mission before the change as it basically means that some ATs might as well not have one of their powersets due to the untyped damage. It often turns into a debtfest on PuGs anyway.
With the current change it just means that the TF may as well not exist as it's completely useless to any normal group.
Revert it as it was, it was not easy before, particularly for PuGs.
Also please put a GMotd up saying that the TF is horribly broken, so more groups won't waste hours of their time getting most of the way through the TF before finding it's impossible to complete. -
Think that's you, my whole team spawned into Cim with no problems whatsoever.
-
Green mitos seemed invincible on LGTF team was unable to budge their hits to make them need to heal, they were taking waaaaay less damage than they should, looks like fixing the healing ray has broken them in another way.

Another big negative vote.
I've accidentally bid on and bought multiple copies of stuff several times.
Pet hates:
Cursor changes to the arrows that allow you to move the UI around, but they still function if you accidentally happen to be near a button at the time.
Less slots on screen at a time.
If moving salvage into WWs (or deleting it), the warning for useful salvage being impossible to turn off once and for all with one button/option. It appears it has to be done separately for every character for every salvage piece.
Having to sort salvage every time, it should remember how you sorted it last time. -
That build is truly horrible Jay-dee.
How can I spend most cash for least effect, kinetic combats have no place in positional defence builds, and punch/haymaker horribly underslotted at a cost of several hundred million.
I don't have the time to tweak it atm, but that is not a build to follow. -
We ran this with my SG with 7 MMs (3 or 4 DS) and a veat and massacred it set to at +1 lvl.
Not as much as we massacred silver mantis set to +3 with 5 DS MMs and 3 VEATs though -
Quote:If you're going for 2 or 3 slots, you'd prob go with adjusted targeting which has a pure recharge.I agree that that the Gaussian probably got weighted relatively low. I agree that it doesn't LOOK like a good IO.
But something that I didn't see mentioned: People don't slot BU/Aim for their "main" functions. They slot for Recharge (which Gaussian is short on.) If I was going to slot three Gaussian's End/Rech would be one of them. If I was going to slot TWO Gaussian's it might still be one of them. -
Quote:If you want a cheaply enhanced fun blaster, take an nrg/nrg, slot 2 centrioles in every ranged power, hit boost range and snipe from the next county. Your tier 2 blast will have snipe-ish range.Centriole's are Damage/Range.
So not worthless, but not the best either, and (if I'm remembering correctly) in the past they were like the most common HO to drop.
Oh and this isn't really what I'd call Multi-Level Marketing, it's a Pyramid Scheme (not that there's much difference between the two) :P -
Kinetic combat dam/ends appear silly blue side.
This is only a standard rare pool A recipe, so you'd imagine there was plenty of supply but is going for silly money (200M last purchase, previous 2 150M), and basically no supply at levels 28-34.
As it was only 125 merits, I just merit purchased one.
Is it just that the set stops at 35, but is used by lots of 50s so not so many people are playing at the right level to drop it ? -
Quote:A friend of mine suffered from this meaning he listed something at 1,999,919,999 on the old interface instead of 19,999.There's also a bug where the text entry field doesn't display anything even though there's a number entered there. If you enter another number it still doesn't display anything but if you're quick and don't watch what you're doing you'll wind up posting something for 1000 times what you intend.
Not quite as bad as buying something for 1.5 billion, but it still smarts a little.
He explained what had happened to support and got his 100M listing fee back.
My suspicion is (and I've had 600M back that I lost going over the inf cap caused by the interface lagging/malfunctioning) that if they don't think you're trying one on, there's a plausible reason other than typing too fast and it doesn't happen often, you will get some redress if you ask and they can find it in the logs.
My worst so far has only been buying a stack of 10 salvage at 5M each when I meant to bid 500K each (fortunately). -
Quote:The point is that a lot of people from the US servers will make toons on your servers and the population will go up as well as you being able to access other servers. Unless you want a vast SG/VG base, it's not a big deal to set up a new one on a new server, I have largely personal (or shared with one or two friends) SGs on many servers big enough for a full set of TPers. You just need to find a friendly SG/VG that will allow you to coalition and use their TPers while you build up your base. What's the point of merging the server LIST without merging the actual server? that won't make any more villains play (in fact probably less cos nearly everyone would take advantage of the already implemented thing to move servers), and would still mean you couldn't move supergroups to an active server which is the most important thing since it's the single most thing you can't really ever get back when prestige accumulates so slow and gathers up over years
I would certainly make toons on both english servers, as I'm pretty much full on all the US ones. -
Quote:Sorry, that name is in use by a TA def that wanted to get on teamsthat's the point! He's just some unimportant guy with an unimportant name. "just a regular Joe" if you will.
Or you could take medicine and no blasts and be "Izuberhealzor."
True story, there was a TA def called something like T3h ub4r h34lz0r, who hated being rejected because he wasn't a healer, so made a name that meant nobody actually asked. -

Quote:Dark melee has huge ST DPS, so is very good for this type of challenge, but has no meaningful AoE so is not a real balance problem for the game. This:
is the point my temple began to ache. There shouldn't be a 50% disparity in max performance here. I'm not too concerned about the protection levels shields can generate; it'll be needed. The DDB Resist is higher than designed, but, again, not really the major concern here.
AAO, actually looks fine. The maximum boost it can generate isn't that large.
Shield Charge isn't bad, basically it can get you to 2 scale 0.7 aoe's on, at best, an 19.5 second cycle time (ignoring Arcanatime, for the moment.) Then again, to get that, you've got a +400% Recharge, which is freakin' huge.
That leads me to believe the discrepancy lies with the primary sets Fire Melee and Dark Melee. Fire is MEANT to have higher DPS overall, so that's 'fine.' Dark Melee, not so much. I'd have to look at specific builds and slotting to see what's going on there, but that's a project I don't have time for now.
Several folks have suggested via PMs and in this thread that I look at Fiery Aura again; to bring it's performance up a bit. I'll see what I can do. -
Quote:Bad idea, unless they're going to give me 100 slots per server or multiple accounts. I have 170 toons on my US account. While I can just about play in French, it would not be my choice, so I'd be limited to 72 EU side. After bringing 47 50s across (and no I don't PL, I just play a lot), I suspect I have more than the remaining 25 at level 35 or higher. Just doesn't fit.All European residents playing an the NA servers should be forced back to the EU servers by NCSoft. That'd solve our population problems.
No? Bad idea?
*sigh* I can dream right?
Also, the best teaming on the US servers in the EU morning is with Aussies in their peak time. It would be a big shame to lose that. -
I don't particularly blame the devs. I DO blame NCsoft for a totally inadequate support and information disseminating system. I'm sure I'm not alone in reporting this hours ago to support via a petition.
Why has there been no post on the server status page, redname post to the forum or GMotd ?
There is no acknowledgement that the problem even exists as far as they are concerned nearly 8 hours in.
That said, making the mistake of saying that I17 would be released in April does seem to mean a paticularly buggy piece of **** had to be released before it was ready. Several of my friends are completely unable to join a team atm as they get graphics crashes every 5 minutes even without using ultra mode, having been fine before I17. Global channels when up indicate that they are losing a lot of subscriptions over this as several people who've resubbed indicated they will not be back for more than one month as they can't actually play the game. I hope they give some free time out for this. -
I didn't move across to the US servers, I started there before the Euro servers existed. I play or have played on all the US servers.
There used to be decent sized Euro communities on many of the servers, but the only one I currently know about is on Victory (I am one of the leaders of www.eurocore.org which has SGs and VGs on Victory, and some of the players play other places as well), plus I believe some RPers on Virtue. I used to play a fair amount with other Euro players on Freedom, Infinity, Protector and Virtue, but all the people I played with there have now either quit the game or shifted servers to Victory.
If you play UK morning time, the Aussies on Justice are often good for a team (Australia global channel), as their evening peak is 0930 GMT in the winter, 1130 BST in the summer. -
Best I can manage is 47/46/43.8 M/R/AoE with soul drain on a 36.1 second recharge with hasten up, but hasten not quite perma (131.7).

Look uncle Nemesis, I know I asked for a pony but ...

Plant/emp also rocks, seeds of confusion is just that good.

Quote:Not sure I can find the link, but somebody did a very simple calculation that works something like this:Sailboat (or anyone really), have you got a link confirming this when concerning how +2x8 is the best all round. Concerning purple drops is +1x8 better and +3x8 better for PL? Sorry, I realize this a little off-topic but I couldn't really find anything like this around the forums.
A level 50 even con minion has x hits.
If you have an attack chain that delivers y dps it lasts x/y seconds.
It awards z XP.
You get z/(x/y) XP/second (similar for tickets/inf).
A level 54 minion has x+n% hits
you do m%y DPS because it scales down
It awards z+p% XP.
The numbers are known, but I don't know them.
Short answer +2 and +3 >> +0 and +4.
