Made Avatea aware of this thread yesterday by PM, although rather stupidly forgot to ask for a read receipt so don't know if she's seen it.

Is good to see for the health of the game in general, US side last night Freedom/Virtue were red, all the others yellow and this was just getting into east coast peak time and well before west coast peak.

Quote:Exactly, it looks great, but I can't create any praetorians on my chosen server and neither can most of my friends, this is turning into a bit of a fiasco.Nice job...Beta looked good, now if I can have the slots I bought last week to build my Praetorians I'll look at how it actually was implemented...
OPEN THE STORE!!!
You REALLY need to get the server transfers working and the store open, there is mutinous talk about. -
Can we have a 2 handed animation for use with swords/axes/maces, baseball bat would look so much better used 2 handed.
-
Quote:Nope, Victory to Pinnacle, and since I could normally BUY a server transfer, the fact that the freebies only are supposed to come in tomorrow shouldn't matter. And it looks like freedom has a login queue now, so if you're trying to transfer to/from there I'd expect it to take a while as well.
I agree that they're being hammered now, but since they went through in seconds when they were being hammered at Xmas, I suspect something isn't working as it should.
Still not happened after an hour. -
Server transfers appear to be a bit screwed up.
Did mine as soon as the server came up, can't make a praetorian till it goes through as 36 slots in use. We were promised unlimited transfers, we have 6 tokens, and when they fail, you lose the token.
Half an hour now and it hasn't gone through, was more or less instant during the transfers over Christmas.
Also globals seem to be dying all the time. -
Quote:This:Screw content tbh, i just want MORE VILLAIN SF'S come on....screw hero revamps of tfs, we dont even have enough to do compared to heroes..i wouldnt mind if we get a revamp hero tf n new sf at the same time.but more sf's r neeed
Until there is a 30-35 vill SF (or co-op, not fussy), I will end up with a load of villains stuck at 30 who really can't be bothered to run 20 odd paper missions to open up enough contacts to get to 35. At least now I will be able to move them over and do Katie/Manti.
It's probably compounded for me in that I infinitely prefer the hero respec trials to the villain ones, meaning that effectively below 35, there are a whole 3 SFs I actually do, compared to 11 or 12 TFs depending on how you count Posi. -
Today's is the freespec and costume token grant I think.
-
If you want a cheap thrill, slot a /energy blaster up with loads of dam/rng HOs, combine with boost range, snipe from the next county, never gets old.
-
Thought I'd have a go at this, and had a major comedy moment, log my level 1 in. Discover my SG is running a RWZ arc team. Go into mission and discover they're about to fight the hero Sefu. We kill him, this is worth 7.5 bars, a level 4 SO and an immob purple. So yes I got a purple off the very first thing I killed at level 1.
Anyway, have got to level 8, but acquired a load of things I'm going to have to sell before starting the experiment, as it's not really fair to get a head start of some level 50 common recipes, a couple of titanium coatings and a purple. -
IIRC one is in a cave which you don't want (BM and guards ?), the other two are on the same outdoor map and either will do.

-
Just a thought, if you pop over to vill side, you might be able to grab a load of epic mu AoE goodness.
-
That's not the problem, energy is the most single target orientated set of them all with the possible exception of dark, pretty much anything else would be better as a secondary.
-
Unyielding was unyielding stance, you couldn't move at all, ditto rooted.
Infernal had 100% or close fire resistance, Aim, Build up and the fire blast snipe did 3 damage.
There was no difficulty slider, so my first 50 ran every bit of content solo, and ran out at level 38.2 so had to street sweep to 40 to get more missions.
Playing hydra hockey in the frozen perez park was fun.
Farming kraken in the AST was one of the PL tools of choice. Farming the spawns from CoT portals was another.
Everybody 6 slotted hasten and stamina.
Where people had killed a sky raider ambush in a lowbie zone, the force field generators would last till the server reset, meaning your level 5 in KR might have to take on a load of hellions with buffed defences, not funny at that level. -
I am one of the leaders of Eurocore on Victory.
My global is @Minotaur, feel free to send me a tell (or a PM on these boards) and we can have a chat to see if we can help you.
We're no longer the huge organisation we were (at one point 6 fullish SG/VGs) , but we run a TF/SF most evenings, and some of us play during the day too. -
As a pom who plays with the Aussies as I play in the mornings, I already have a large but not overfull stable on Justice. I'm using this period to strip some 50s off my main server which has 36 slots in use, and spread them around the other servers to archive them as I don't delete 50s.
-
Not sure this is right unless you REALLY want a PvP IO.
20M + 50 merits = 1 A-merit = 5 rolls
100 merits = 5 rolls
so 20M = 50 merits = 2.5 rolls, valuing a roll at 8M.
When the prices drop due to people taking random rolls from earned A-merits, I'm not sure whether they'll be worth that.
Might just about be worth it if there are pool A recipes that cost a fortune, are direct purchasable with 1 A-merit, and the prices don't crash quite as hard. -
Quote:I love my Elec/EnA but I've done EnA, I also have a DM/nin, so looks like /SR then which I've done on scrapper and brute, but not yet stalker. Will be taking it blue side.I've only tried out /SR, /EnA, and /regen so far, and out of those 3, /Regen was the most survivable while still having room in the build for other stuff like travel powers. the -DMG combined with regen makes you pretty unkillable.
However, /EnA LOOKS the coolest with KM/. I'd even say that it's more thematic-looking than EnM/EnA
The first one I rolled was with /SR. Softcapped with the mitigation and -DMG whenever you DO get hit makes for a good combo as well.
Gonna try it with /nin tonight and see how that goes. -
Quote:Which defence set do you recommend playing it with ? and why ?No more NDA! I can now hoop and hollar about how much I love KM/ for Stalkers!
PBAoE attack that crits out of hide- awesome! (Burst)
Concentrated Strike (T9 move) instantly recharges Build up instead of a crit- awesome!
BU-->CS-->placate-->BU-->AS
The AS animation is sweet-looking, definitely cooler than ones like /EM or /claws.
Where I found that the KB hinders fury on a brute, especially with the fury changes (though it is understandable) it makes for great mitigation for the stalkers, and the -DMG effect helps a lot too.
RRRRRGHICAN'TWAITTOPLAYTHISLIVE!!!!!!! -
Quote:I tried a Fire/KM tank, and found it shockingly bad. It has a big AoE knockback and the set feels lacking without it and borderline unplayable with it.I found my KM/Fire scrapper very fun. If you're making a KM toon make it a scrapper. Or a stalker I guess.
It felt a bit better on a brute than the tank, and I suspect would be better still on a scrapper/stalker. -
SR's niche is that it can hit the cap with less IO slotting than the other sets, meaning you have more leeway to slot for +recharge, +HP, +regen and +damage, and also the DDR. Alternatively it can be reasonably uber cheaper. Also it can go with some sets shield can't.
