It does nothing, I've seen people shot and killed by hami with pylons up.
The other one I don't understand is leading the rikti into the goo. All this seems to do is deprive the players of shards from the rikti, with very few benefits if you're intelligent enough not to aggro hami while taking out the mitos. -
Quote:SGs lost some popularity due to people creating their own personal SGs to store stuff. There is a limit of 18 storage devices in a base, so large SGs simply cannot have enough for everybody's needs. Why did SG's go the way the way of the dodo?
I joined on Justice again. I remember the people there not being ****** canoes from last time, so I figured I'd go that way again.
We still have a strong SG (or coalition of SGs, 3 hero/3 vill), but a lot of people have their own SGs too, and we communicate through a "SG" global chat channel.
For Justice, join Justice United, you will need to be unsilenced by a mod. -
There is a bug/exploit whereby you can force this to happen, maybe you teamed with people who knew how to do it.

Divorce knockback and knockdown, ie treat KD as downwards KU/KB. What does this do ?
It means when you raise a huge mallet and pound it down on a mob's head, it will only knock them down, never back.
You can give a power mag lots knockdown. Currently, if a power has knockdown, any KB prot will void it. If you are able to give the power mag 7.5 KD, something with mag 4 KB prot will still get knocked down. Currently, if you want something with mag 7.5 knockback, you'd be doing knockback up to mag 6 protection and knockdown to mag 7 protection only. -
Quote:I failed one, serves us right for trying to do the last mission at +4, we breezed thru the rest of it at +4.I haven't failed or heard of a failed ITF, since the Beta. Maybe you should pick up some information on your team based on the way they played through the first few missions.
The only reasons I've seen for failing with a full team are inadvertently killing Rommi such that he doesn't res and being unable to kill the healing nictus, and bad tactics with a very sub optimal team.
Most teams provided they have some tankage, can pull the healing nictus off Rommi, and kill him while he has no heals if they're not capable of just rushing him. -
Quote:I used to buy basilisk's gaze quads at 70M and sell for 110, but haven't bought any at that price for a long time. So, I'm trying to figure out what's up with prices. In particular, a while back during the Great Respecathon, I got a couple of Basilisk's Gaze quads (L30) for about 70M (recipe). Now they're 120-150, and I've seen as high as 200. Should I just be waiting that out, or did I just get super lucky back when I got them for 70?
The other thing that stands out is that on a lot of purples, if I bid middle of the last 5, it's been a week and they're consistently above that range. Is that normal, abnormal? I'm sort of guessing that purple prices were briefly depressed by the rush of people doing the incarnate content for the first time, so I should probably just accept that I'm gonna have to raise those bids.
Thoughts? Advice?
Purples can be bought with a bit of patience, you get a feel for what will buy and recipes aren't always cheaper than crafted. Leave bids overnight and then raise them a bit if you have to. -

Quote:Should never happen, play 1-10 in AE doing story focussed stuff, no need to farm, bronze roll your tickets at 10, odds are you'll see a -KB or res/def, and if not there are plenty of things that will sell for 1M or so.This was hero side, back in July or so. I just happened not to get particularly lucky in drops, and never ended up with any decent recipes.
Otherwise, buy up stacks of useless level 50 rare recipes (snipes other than SotM for example), for 1,000 each and vendor them for 10,000 each, that can make you 90K/stack. Do that a dozen times you got a million. Nobody should have any trouble affording SOs. -
First one, around 400 hours over 6 months.
Fastest one 40 hours over a double XP weekend (and this was not PLd, team of 8 of us went 1-50 basically on TFs).
Slowest 5 years, a toon I basically left on a server I started on before I realised my friends played elsewhere, and disliked until it got to level 47, I now enjoy taking it for a spin occasionally.
Average now, maybe 200 hours depending on how much it keeps my attention, I tend to stall in the late 30s. -
I run very little content these days (although I have run all of it already).
Lvl 12-37 is done almost completely on TFs blue side, I tend not to level anything red side any more. Until there is more powerset proliferation, I can't think of any more toons I want to make at the moment. -
Any idea which day and time ? my psychic powers are playing up ...
-
No way.
I have 56 50s, and will do about 20 of them.
So far have unlocked 15, and of those have 7 uncommon slotted and 2 common slotted. -
Quote:Because I don't have a lot of DDR, I need to be well over the S/L cap for ITFs, so that they have to hit me more than twice to cascade fail.Man, and you're using the Glad armor too. Question, do you really need Pulverize? I skip it on my Mace toons and don't miss it at the higher levels. You're way over the S/L cap so don't need that set of Kin Combats either. I switched it out for 3-slotted Crystal, which gives you like an extra 14% DDR too, and swapped in a few Erad & Cleaving Blow sets in Shatter & Whirling Mace to hit E/N cap. Just a thought.
If I'm not going to be out of granite very often at all, crystal didn't seem worth it (and provides no DDR when it's not on IIRC).
I tend to find I need every attack I can get with the -rech in granite, and certainly if I get slowed.
OK, I have too much time on my hands, I've A-merit purchased 3 of the glad armors. -
The reason I didn't cap the other stuff out of granite is that I didn't have room for the other armors, the intention was to only be out of granite for psi stuff, and psi/S/L seemed like the stuff I needed to cap.

Why would I bother doing that when I can move faster and do more damage with a granite brute slotted for softcapped defence to all but psi and much higher resist numbers in granite, and softcapped def to S/L/psi out of it. As stated, the move penalty in granite is less than the one in rooted.
I feel no inclination to ever make another granite tank, having seen what my brute can do. I also see no point in making a non granite stoner, an ice tank is just better in most situations (although there are several niche situations where that's not true). -

Quote:A lot will split by level.Well, to be fair, the 3rd build is only awarded to Incarnates, so I could see something like:
1) Solo (or PvE)
2) Team (or PvP)
3) Incarnate
Honestly, getting Inherent Fitness skewed more of my builds than the Incarnate ability has, so far. That may change as more are added. Obviously, ymmv.
eg
1. pre granite stoner
2. granite stoner
3. incarnate
1. lowbie exemp kat/SR with the click mez prot overslotted to perma it and DA
2. normal sub 50 exemp build, DA removed as softcapped
3. incarnate build -

Quote:Wrong, with added wrongsauce and a side order of wrong, unless the market has collapsed in PvP IOs.What drop bug?
Oh and to the OP, you'd probably be better off buying 17 miracle +recoveries (or something of equal value), crafting, and marketing them all for 200m a piece.
I sold 2 gladiator's armor 3% defs at 4BN each for a 30 merit drop.
To get that much (267M/2 merits) you have to sell your chosen drop at close to 300M (you pay market fees, I don't), and I don't see that happening (when I did it, the big drops were selling for about 150M so it wasn't close).
The only thing that occasionally gets close is when kinetic combat dam/ends (a 1 A-merit drop) occasionally spike over 100M. -
Quote:Slot him for recharge and +run speed and take teleport. I have 2 granite tanks and 2 brutes at 50, and my latest brute is far from slow. He rarely needs to run rooted with granite (when he's stupidly slow). Top off with the incarnate +recharge and he rocks. After getting a character of mine to 50, I've realised something with all the teaming and TFing that's been going on.
I hate my Stone Armour Tanker.
I hate him because if I'm on a team, and there's no Kinetics using character with speed boost, I feel I'm a dead weight.
What awaits me is a series of missions of either getting to the fight last, or of constant toggling and de-toggling as I bring up granite, then drop it, then hope it's recharged by the time I get to the next mob.
And as I do this, it leaves me thinking just one thing:
Why the hell didn't I roll Invun?
As much as I love Rushmore's costume, his style and roleplaying on him, I hate his primary power set (I do love Stone Melee though), and I level slow enough that the thought of rerolling him makes me want to cry in how far he'll be from 50 again.
That's my character I hate. What's yours?
I thoroughly hated my DA/axe tank, so I deleted him and remade him as DA/SM which I love. I hated my claws/invul scrapper for 47 levels, then respeced him and now like him.
My mind/rad troller, I never felt I was getting the best out of, but couldn't see why, so she's sat abandoned since she hit 50.
My SA/DB tank was rolled as a joke (granite doing DB animations looks utterly ridiculous) but -rech doesn't sit well with combos. -
Quote:Yeah, but I'd rather buy stuff I actually need, I have 56 50s, and the respecs are running at 2-5 BN a toon atm. I don't have the sort of money needed to do that for the 20 or so toons I'm going to incarnate, some of which are not IOd in any meaningful way yet.But it sounds like you do have enough inf that you can buy respec recipes. Which incidentally will be coming down in price, with all the freespecs being handed out. :]
And this is the first change that has hit since I9 which has meant I wanted to change 30 or 40 IOs rather than just a few. They really need to give respecs for that.
Curiously I've played an average of at least 6-8 hours a day since I9, and dropped a grand total of 2 respec recipes ever. If I need more, I'll run the reactor trial for respecs rather than merits as I actually quite like it (particularly at +4 to cut the waiting time). -
Quote:But not enough that I can afford to simply overwrite the sets of obliterations etc that I'm taking out to replace with the purples. You're removing 3 valuable sets and inserting purple sets instead. You have the money to burn.
Another example is where I decided to take the end reduction alpha boost, and decided I could then afford to use the sets that were under represented in the end reduction department which I couldn't do before. -
In dialog with the GMs, they found most of the stuff, missing 3 hecatombs, which I've found on my base storage records and the toon that removed them, so hopefully they'll now find them on the logs.
-
The third respec is all well and good, but it's taking me 4 or 5 respecs to sort out my main build on some toons, let alone the others. I never thought I'd say this as a 78 month vet, but I've used all my vetspecs on some toons.
There are some builds where I planned on using a respec or two to remove a few IOs I slotted at level 30, but now in addition, maybe because I got some extra defence from the alpha slot, I want to take out 3 (valuable) sets that gave me extra defence and slot 3 sets of purples instead. 3 freespecs is not enough.
