  1. Talk to me next time we're both on, I have spare slots on Justice and can easily create new toons to do this.
  2. New level 1, now level 40 having run posi 1/2, synapse, sister, manti, moonfire, ITF.

Not doing bad, should hit 50 easily by the end of the weekend.
  3. Not exactly geek culture but the historical rikti names based on Boudicca and Herodotus.

Suspicious about Dr Roberta Todd in Moonfire. She's a kin, doles out speed boost. Bob Todd was Benny Hill's (famous for his speeded up chase sequences) straight man.

Stone is sort of missing a tier 2, it has tier 1, tier 3 and up on the ST damage, so it does silly ST damage but pays for it on the end.

My stone brute treats them just the same, I think he has 4 of each slotted But he'd prefer to drop the former and buy the latter.
  6. Another vote for the theft of essence proc here. I made the end use work on a DA/stone tank (is there a heavier toon on the blue bar with no means of boosting their own end in primary/secondary), but that was a real work of art.

I then took end/res alpha, and slackened off a bit on the end reduction/recovery slotting.

Actually I just skipped a step, miss - hit or miss - miss is required, so since the probability of "hit or miss" is 1, this is just the miss chance squared.

    I realised what you'd done.

Yup, for months I rolled a fetid pile of dingos' kidneys, then I started getting a few good ones, then it went back to crap again, so I rarely roll these days.

I have said before, I have a strong suspicion that the RNG isn't random (or isn't always triggered to roll a new number), I've seen too many once in a lifetime occurrences to believe it is. The sort of thing is (in between hitting normally with other attacks) my sands of mu vet attack missing 34 times in a row against stuff it should hit 2/3 of the time.

Actually wrong, because you have a 95% chance to hit, if the first one misses, the second is forced to hit by the streakbreaker, then the third one has the standard chance to hit, so you're missing 2/2 not 2/3. hence it's only a 1 in 400 chance of missing 2/3.

This presumes you weren't already on a streak of misses from hitting something much harder to hit previously.

It's needed to softcap my DA tank's defence v smashing and lethal, but that's what IOs can do for you.

If you're doing that, it's a power that will take a -KB in its default slot rather than costing you an extra slot in one of your other powers.
  11. Cardiac is one option, when we get the rares and very rares, you might get more DPS from taking musculature with the end mod option, particularly as stam and QR are badly underslotted.

I believe a straight end mod is better than the performance shifter +end as the first IO in stamina, and you should have a pshifter end mod not endmod/acc in QR.
  12. I have 50s that have taken 40-400 hours of game time (I don't farm/PL), around 150-200 is fairly normal if you're playing something that's a decent soloist.
  13. Incarnate system is new and shiny.

People play their 50s more than ever.

    Less mid level stuff.

This will stay the case while more and more incarnate shinies are released and will settle down some time after all the incarnate stuff has been released.
  14. Calm down, this happens fairly frequently, I've lost many billions worth of attachments over 4 instances of this, and got them all back from the GMs. It tends to happen over maintenance periods, and yes globals did die after Thursday maint a couple of times.

You will minimise your chance of loss if you claim stuff before maint and resend afterwards.

You can also get the occasional bonus of stuff you've claimed reappearing, although that seems semi random, and the GMs don't want it back.
  15. I keep thereatening to A-merit myself a PVP 3% def, and mail it to myself each week just after maintenance, claiming it just before the next week's maint and seeing how many I can get. As it is I've lost stuff I think 4 times now and the GMs have replaced it.

It's a rollback to an earlier position, but I'm not sure how much earlier.

That gag has been around a lot longer than Praetoria.

Look at the names of the named badguys in the rescuer badge mission in Faultline.

    Ant (Hill mob)
    Gruesome (Twosome)

etc, to go with Muxley and his dialog.

    It's a Dastardly plot ...

Actually we don't, I suspect there are quite a few people in the UK who spell it curb through sheer ignorance.

If you want grammatically correct English, ask a Dutchman ... seriously

    Completely wrong:

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Jump to: navigation, search
Look up curb in Wiktionary, the free dictionary.
    Curb may refer to:

Curb (road), or kerb, the edge where a raised pavement/sidewalk/footpath, road median, or road shoulder meets an unraised street or other roadway.

And it's always spelt kerb in UK English.

Curb in UK English is used as in Curb your enthusiasm ie put a limit on it.

She's about 18-20 I'd guess (otherwise the police may be after Jim Temblor), just acts like a 12 year old with ADHD.

I have a couple of young toons, Tweenage rampage does look about 12 or 13, and a toon with a name that is perfectly innocent here in the UK, but less so in the US (and I eventually won a genericing argument over it) The pocket rocket is about 15 or 16.

You can't build an 8 year old, but you can do teenagers or just pre teen toons relatively easily.
  22. Early July for me and looking forward to it. Hopefully this is just a test of sorts, and other people will see the benefit when a base item is put in that does the same thing.

And for all the irritating people out there. Turn your auras off and stop flapping your wings at the auction house, and this wouldn't be necessary.
  23. 1: ctrl-lclick
2: yes, rooted has more of a movement penalty than granite, slot swift, take teleport to get over those kerbs.

Like if the solo types are so keen on "fairness" between their way and the normal play style, shouldn't they be campaigning for a big reduction in purple drops for soloers, or a major increse in purple drops for teams?
Because the drop rate of stuff compensates for the extra XP/inf/prestige you get from playing in a team due to the fact that you get 1/2 as much XP for each creature killed as you would solo rather than 1/8.

The complaint is not that you get less shards solo than you do teamed, it's by how much that is the case.

Correct, and an awful lot of people who solo TFs have 2 or more accounts, so simply leave their other account logged on, and enter the last mish for double the merits.

There are a few that aren't soloable (Doc Q with a click 4 simultaneously, cavern trial) but most are if you have the toon and the inclination.

I don't do this other than the occasional old posi (which I did while it was still a TF) as I can't be bothered with AV soloing although I have several toons that could probably do it.
