Hands down, the episode that introduced the word "roffle" into everyday usage. The Freakshow never fails to make me laugh.
-
That was VERY cool. I loved all the Eden TF footage, I think that's about the best artwork in the game as far as atmosphere.

Yes, it's true... don't believe the nay-sayers... Episode 6 of Ask Otto is now online and ready for viewing!
Head to http://www.w00tstudios.net/ to hear Otto's take on the evilness that is "VEAT" and witness how he handles two annoying BunkerTron 4200 repair technicians. (The direct link to Episode 6 is here.)
Don't always have access to this thread? Finding the Ask Otto series manually is easy! Just go to the w00t Studios site and you'll see the full line-up of shows across the top of your screen. Click on the "Ask Otto" icon (the first one in the bar) and head right to the list of episodes!

I've waited this long, I'm willing to wait a couple days longer to get them in-sequence, but then again, I'm a patient sort of person. Well, not really, but I kinda am when I've got so much else going on I don't really think about it.

As one of my favorite dwarven druids would say, "Hee hee hee... oooo oooi!"
-
Just a quick note... Otto's been on vacation, but he's back and is promising to get me the next episode to edit shortly. He said something about having to find people to fix his computer... not sure if he means his PC or that monstrosity he's installed in his bunker. I guess we'll find out.
In the meantime, if you haven't seen it yet, Otto's also reviewing SG and VG bases. Go to w00tstudios.net and check out the first episode of Better Base & Fortress. -
Uh no... you have to go to the Brass, or to the Mountaintown Station. The Sweet Onion has gone the way of the Dodo, as has the Embers.
-
For myself (and likely for the others who used to DJ for w00t) I miss it too. I've been in radio for a loooong time, in one form or another, and DJing for w00t was truly enjoyable.
And while the old w00t Radio will most likely never resurface, I'd go to the w00t Studios page, and check out the "w00t Underground" (the right-hand-most button on the top show button bar). It might salve the hurt a little. -
Otto is back with Episode 5 of the "Greatest German Bunkercast" on the Internet: Ask Otto! This week, he's expounding on Knight Rider 2008 and debuting his new BunkerTron 4200 computer system.
Head to http://www.w00tstudios.net/ to witness this "amazing debut," and to hear his thoughts on the new Knight Rider.
Click here for a direct link to the episode. Quicktime .mov and Windows .wmv versions both available!
And, as always, Otto wants YOU to take part in the show, so check the site for his e-mail address and send in those questions! -

My double xp weekend stands as a testament to willpower, caffeine, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. Without them (especially the cookies), I wouldn't have made it.

Uhoh. Which did you gain more of, levels or pounds?
[/ QUOTE ]
I deliberately haven't looked, but I suspect an equal amount of both will be the ultimate answer. -
I'm flattered to have my post be mentioned, although I've had some people go "Pffft... 40 hours is NOTHING!" For some, it might be nothing, but for me, it's a lot. It's almost as many hours as I am old in years... almost.
My double xp weekend stands as a testament to willpower, caffeine, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. Without them (especially the cookies), I wouldn't have made it.
I got my Peacebringer from 43 to 48, almost to 49.
I got my FF/Rad def from 12 to 19, almost to 20.
I got my Fire/Kin troller from 11 to 18, almost to 19.
I got a level on my SS/Inv brute, and a solid helping of debt too.
I ran a LGTF, played on a farm, and did more police-band missions than I've ever done in one sitting.
I also got to be there when a good friend hit 50 on her latest character!
In short, it was a great weekend. -

That's fun but it would be cool if we could hear the channels and what they're saying. Any way to do that?

You're not the first person to ask about this. I'll see what Otto says... he's been muttering about taking a break. He gets really sentimental around Valentines Day, since his beloved never responds to his letters. I think it's the currency exchange, or maybe the restraining order, but Mr. Hasslehoff never sends anything back. Poor Otto.
Anyway, we'll see. -

I lol at the fast that all the hicksvilles on CoX are coming to the New York City of Cox, trying to tell us how do live. Go back to your sandbox lil children. This plane ain't for the feint of heart.

This attitude is, frankly, astounding.

This attitude is, frankly, why I play elsewhere. This is the on-server attitude I experienced when I tried to start a character on Freedom.
Ah well, to each his/her/its own, I guess. I'm not a big-city person IRL either. -
Get ready, episode 4 of Ask Otto is available!
Head to http://www.w00tstudios.net/ to hear Otto's latest ravings, this time featuring an e-mail from "Blue" and a sneak peek at the Rogue Isles Cable System!
Finding the Ask Otto series is easy! Just go to the w00t Studios site and you'll see the full line-up of shows across the top of your screen. Click on the "Ask Otto" icon (the first one in the bar) and head right to the list of episodes!

Well, the quality of the episode has a lot to do with the question e-mailed in to Otto, so if you have any, please send them in! It's worse when Otto just gets to ramble, but somewhat better when he's going off on a question someone else asked.

What if she goes under the name Ex Librisburg?

I don't think it matters. Otto's just kind of... creepy... to be around, and people of both genders have reported it as an unpleasant experience. There's only so much Hasslehoff-worship a human brain can take up-close and not begin to wobble a bit. -
Uhhhhhmmmm.... ok... if you really WANT to [u]physically[u] be in the same room as Otto, I'm sure that can be arranged, but... take some advice from me: Bring friends. LARGE friends. Large FAST friends. With weapons. Ranged and melee. Just to be safe.

First post after a redname!
This is a first for me... I'm thrilled!
Thanks for the kind words. I'm merely the tech guy, but I'll pass your comments on to Otto, although I'm not sure that's really a good idea... he'll think you're worshiping him now too. Oh well, can't be helped, he thinks ANYONE who says something nice about him is worshiping him. -
Episode 3 of Ask Otto is now online!
Head to http://www.w00tstudios.net/ to hear this week's rant, featuring an e-mail from Furious George.
And finding the Ask Otto series is now even easier! Just go to the w00t Studios site and you'll see the full line-up of shows across the top of your screen. Click on the "Ask Otto" icon (the first one in the bar) and head right to the list of episodes!

I haven't given up hope. I still believe in you Hertz!
</cheesiness>
Seriously tho, I'm hoping he just needed a bit more time to get settled in and that he'll be back soon. -
Heh, I wish I could take credit for it, but I'm just the video editor.
I take the insanity that Otto spews and find pictures to go along with it, but I'm glad you like it.
Oh, and seriously, folks, Otto wants questions, so don't be shy about sending e-mails and asking whatever! Otto happy is slightly more bearable than Otto annoyed, so I'm all about keeping him happy. -
Episode 2 of Ask Otto is now available.
This time, Otto takes on the history of that nefarious holiday villain, Snaptooth.
So check out "Ask Otto" at http://www.w00tstudios.net/ (you'll find it under "Main Menu->Shows"). You can also e-mail your questions to Otto and have him answer it as part of an upcoming show! -
Here's a teaser to entice you... this week's e-mail:
"Yo DJ Otto, what you think about all the new dual-blade heroes an villains running around these days?" -Glory Monkey -
Greetings, DJ Mindscythe here.
w00t Studios would like to announce a new video podcast series, one that you can be a part of!
As some of you may know, back in the w00t Radio days, when no other DJ's could be on, the station was looked after by an ego-maniacal, David Hasslehoff-loving German guy named DJ Otto Plair. Well, Otto's back, and he's bringing his old audio series back as well, as a video podcast: Ask Otto!
This twice-monthly series will answer questions from w00t Studios patrons about anything related to the City of Heroes/Villains game and world.
So check out "Ask Otto" at http://www.w00tstudios.net/ (you'll find it under "Main Menu->Shows") and be sure to e-mail your questions to Otto - You might be part of an upcoming show!
Oh, and don't worry: Otto's love of "The 'Hoff" isn't catching. We think. We're pretty sure. Honest.
