I know WoW has all kinds of wacky features. I heard you can set up a healing power to only heal until the target's health hits max, and then shot off, saving mana.
Assuming the guy wasn't just referring to rocking the aura (which is most certainly not preemptive healing as described) maybe this is what he meant. -
I'd like in on this if there's still room. I have a 50 of the main 5 ATs, but for a Master run I assume you'll want my Ice/Cold Corr.

Yeah, but the preposition thing isn't a hard and fast rule. Neither is not starting a sentence with a conjunction.

What damage? Healing was sucking so much end it was hard to keep up a decent attack chain. As a healing set, I like Empathy better because you get more pro-active buffs earlier. WoP and the other goodies come too late in the set, IMHO. -

The issue isn't really about people dying, but about me not feeling like I'm bringing as much to the team as a more active buffer/debuffer or an offensive AT.
My Widow is almost 30, so I'm going to bring her next week. With the good number of VEATs we have this time around, another stacking set of buffs will always come in handy. -
Grinding (defined simply as doing something unpleasant and repetitive for future reward) doesn't really have a place in CoX, because we have no end game. The closest thing we have to "high end lewt" is purples, but since they really aren't needed for any content in the game, no one really rushes to 50 so they can farm for purples (at least, I hope not).
CoX is meant to be fun from 1 to 50. We can have a debate about what life is like pre-travel powers and pre-stamina, but in general the point of the game is to experience it. If players choose to grind to 50; that's their choice, but I don't see any dev-created incentive to do so. -

Hit 29...widow is pretty fun, only have 5 attacks so far and it is really hard to choose between which ones to take.

Lets talk about teaming/cross alignment communication.
Is it possible that we will be able to communicate with our opposite alignment in this alternate universe and thus team with them creating a larger or equivalent pool from which to form teams?
A new Broadcast Channel might look like this (could be from a Villain or Hero and seen by all): LF team - Hero Missions
Potentially missions could auto side-kick, like AE, to reduce level disparity and increase teaming opportunities.

In Paretoria, you will definitely be able to make mixed teams, but in your theoretical Praetorian Paragon and Paretorian RI, you would only be able to team with Villains or Heroes who have been redeemed/fallen, no? -

You will retain all badges that were earned, because you can always switch back to your original side. The Devs aren't going to wipe out all badges if you are able to switch back. They may change the names of the badges depending on what side you are on, but they'll still be there.
Accolades present an interesting question. It's possible you will only get access to the Accolades on the side you are on, but they might also just let you have them all. I haven't done the research to see if that would be unbalancing or not. -

It could be as simple as:
Paragon City in Preatorian Earth = Villain area
Rogue Isle in Preatorian Earth = Hero area
Therefore allowing us to experience the other area albeit from a different perspective.

This is less simple than just letting us use the zones already in existence, and it potentially splits the playerbase 5 ways (Real Paragon, Real RI, Praetoria, Praetorian Paragon, Praetorian RI) instead of 3 (Paragaon, RI, Praetoria). -
I don't see a compelling reason for hiding previous side badges. They're not going to rename Assassination Strikes to Heroic Strikes or call Stalkers Hunters or anything like that, so I don't think they'll be troubled by Villains using Heroic sounding badges or vice versa.
I could be wrong, obviously, but it's highly unlikely. -

It's nonsensical to assume that characters can cross over and "experience" the other side of the game without getting badges.

I think he really meant to phrase the question as something like, "If we change sides, can we keep our old badges as well as getting the new ones" or "can we have both hero and villain badges on our character at the same time?"

Again, why assume you would lose your previous side badges? Especially considering the devs did confirm (I forget exactly where, but it was pretty clear) that you can switch sides multiple times. Since it's not a "one off" side switch, I see no reason why they would remove badges you earned.

Everyone allways complains about END on Scrappers and Brutes but I've never had that issue. The reason being toggles are what drains your end and I allways skip over them unless I'm a Tanker.

Not just toggles. Attacks and travel powers will drain your End too, or did you think that they're free?

Now you're just putting words in my mouth. Yeah everything takes end (except auto powers) but the end drain from your attacks is nothing compaired to your toggles. Even if you actully missread or missunderstood what I said you have to be a noob not to realize toggles cost more endurance than attacks.
It's one quick burst of END loss for an attack that you'll get back 2 sec. later naturally vs. a constant end drain for a toggle that you won't get back till your toggles drop, you turn them off, use a CaB, or rest.

The power sets will most likely be part of the free content that comes with I16. The 50 bucks will get you side-switching, and not a new zone but a new City's worth of content, along with possibly a new AT. -
