That was always going to happen eventually. 36 slots is a *lot* of slots... if someone needs them all right nao, then yes, they will lose out if Paragon offers free slots in the future.

I think LOTRO is able to afford the Lifetime Sub because they plan on producing a $50 expansion box per year. CoX has only had one "expansion" (CoV) and another is on the way, so a lifetime sub would be a losing proposition for them.

I know I would immediately buy it, and I have a few friends who would, but considering all the money NCSoft has made off me so far it wouldn't be a sound financial decision.

It looked like 50 to me, although I did crash so I didn't actually see the "You get 50 merits!" message.

Team Mental finished some time under two hours. I'm not sure because I didn't set a time challenge.... aaaand I crashed exiting the last mish.

Very good run, I think the fact that we were damage heavy helped with the numerous defeat alls.

Unfortunately, Saturday is almost never good for me.

I'll see if anyone's around Friday night, and if not I'll do what I can solo over the weekend.

You can create your own mobs to use in the MA. Customize their name, costume, power sets, etc. Mobs created in the MA are called custom critters.

You can even form your own Enemy Groups with your custom critters.

How is power customization on the side of Occam's Razor? I think it's in the pipeline as well but Occam's Razor states that of many possible explanations, the simplest explanation is most likely correct. The player base's speculation and reading way too much into a marketing survey, a color changing fireball, and a couple indirect devloper comments is a lot simpler than the developers implementing power customization in my opinion.

I think you're misusing Occam's Razor here. We have the survey, the color change, some indirect developer comments as well as some more direct developer comments (today's count as more direct, Posi's longstanding comments on customization are indirect). What are we to draw from this? A paid expansion would be a good way to introduce more customization, and just today we have been told we will be hearing more in a few months. If imminent customization isn't the simplest explanation, than what is?

They are (well, a pilot, at least); Peter Dinklage is already cast as Tyrion. It will be filmed in Ireland.

I'd like to say that SoF&I gets better, but it gets worse before it finally does.

Still, you get the feeling that the Good Guys (or at least the Less Evil Guys) will ultimately win in that story.

If it makes anyone feel any better Smedley was actually higher on the list than Jack, and he presided over the destruction of SWG and the launch of EQ2 which has not lived up to the success of its predecessor. Oh, and he killed MXO.
