Quote:Doubtful. One would hope they have an entirely new set of badges in a City sequel (It might not even take place in Paragon City!), and moving Inf over to a new game would give current players a tremendous advantage and wreak havoc with a new economy. If they're making it, I wonder if we cold move our avatars over to it?
I don't mean the actual models, just the things like Inf and any relevant badges?
Maybe they would let us camp names, but my guess is they will go with a CO-style universal naming system so this won't be an issue.
The problem with releasing a sequel is a fragmentation of the existing player base. Even with new people trying out the game, it's almost guaranteed to have less players than CoX does now in the longer term. Unless, of course, they shut down the current game. -

Quote:At the same time they've been working on I17 (Ultra mode, Doppleganger technology, some arcs), and I19 (Incarnate system), so I'm willing to cut them some slack. That being said, something about the math doesn't work for me, either, but only sort of doesn't work. It's not 80 developers, the last count we had was somewhere around 50, but still, that's about the size of the team that made City of Villains: 9 zones, 40 levels of content, and at least 9 factions that I can count off-hand. This time around we're getting 4 zones, 20 levels of content, and, what? 4? 5? new factions?

As for what's going to happen in I20, it will be easier for us to figure that out once we know what the Incarnate system looks like in I19.
I20 may just be adding post-20 zones to Praetoria (I hope that's a priority somewhere). -
Quote:Exactly. 80 actual developers would be a gigantic game-changer (no pun intended). If we're talking 80 (or 70, in reality) employees, well, that doesn't really give us an idea of how much developing firepower we have.So that isn't eighty people who are actively developing the game, then.
I'm going to say that we have under 30 Real Live™ Devs in Paragon Studios right now. That's still twice what we had during the lean times, but it ain't 80!
EDIT: Just counted, and it looks closer to 40, which is still impressive, but half of the OP's estimate. -
You stole my idea!
And I don't have a gun toon that's 35 yet...
Wait... what about VEATs that use rifle attacks? I can respec my Crab Spider... -
I need to know the approved list of primary and secondary power sets before I can confirm attendance.
I do have a Fire/Fire Tank, an Ice/Storm Controller, and an Ice/Cold Corruptor. Perhaps one of these will meet Penny's stringent requirements. -
Quote:My Throwers don't have an issue... they pass off the rock ASAP. It's the Catchers and Linemen who take a holy beating. Hell, I even had a Treeman get killed on a bad roll!It probably wouldn't be that way if my Thrower didn't keep getting killed every time he hits level 2.

Quote:Hey, Dark means Dark... don't be a primary/secondaryist!I will keep an eye out for any more until tomorrow. But just clarifying the OP since I may have not indicated enough, regarding corruptors, I was looking for /dark since there are other dark powers (DB and DM) for other ATs (like my DM/regen scrapper, which I wouldn't consider a dark toon).
The funny part about this is now "Dark" can be whatever color we want! Rommy won't "fear the Dark" so much as "taste the rainbow"! -

Quote:That sounds like more of a sequel than an expansion. I played a lot of Single-Player Bloodbowl, but my team keeps on getting banged up/killed.Also:
Blood Bowl.
Been playing multiplayer, it's awesome.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE:
New Expansion Coming Out this Year -
Obvious April Fool is obvious.

Ham stuck me with the star, so we ran Flux's Lorenz arc up to the Sea Witch. She wasn't as much trouble as I thought she'd be, but it felt like the devs gave every scrapyarder a fire patch attack for the most of that arc.
After that Team Mental did Darrin Wade and the first Doc Buzzsaw arc before calling it a night. -
