Now that I actually read the update... Dang! More alternate power anims? Major QoL improvement on Transit? Inherent Fitness? (Okay, we already knew about that, but still...)
I19 is going to be a QoL bonanza! -

You know what's changed the way I level? Civ V. As in, I don't level anymore because of it.
-
One other thing I want to know is what their ship looked like. We know it was an aerial craft, but it could be a saucer, zeppelin, plain ol' plane, or some cool steam-punk sky torpedo! Also, they were all wearing period clothes when they crashed. That, or they changed into them soon after they crashed.
-
I don't think they're aliens... they seem like advanced/otherdimensional humans. They could also be angels too.
Did this remind anyone else of V? I bet there will be a lot of focus on "Who's secretly one of THEM?" -
Oblivia = New name for Olivia with Bolivia's memories copied over.
I hope she retains the marksmanship skills when they finally bring her back round.
What I love about this show is the Big Three characters are so strong. How will Bolivia react to seeing Walter as this wreck of a man when she's used to seeing him as a badass Defense Secretary? How long will it take Peter to figure out that he's with the wrong Olivia? Will Colonel Broyles get fed up with Walternate and starting working with the other side?
Can't wait to see how this season plays out! -
I just thought of another possible "They": Angels/Polytheistic divinity.
Of course, that's just a special case of Alien, but it would be a slight twist. -
Quote:That is a loophole that I thought about. If he was wiped while he was scuba diving with that chick, then he wouldn't have been able to re-board. Other than that, though, I find it plausible. He was able to get onto the ship but after that he wasn't in the system after that? Yeah, possible, and in a different show or movie I might buy it, but here... not so much.
Quote:It's not what was done so much as how it was presented. It didn't pass my plausibility meter based on the show I was watching. But, like I said before, that's just me. The inability to stop the plane from taking off, the weird conversation with the air control tower, the cruise ship post-entry hacking, the disabled jets... Nothing that, on their own, would be deal-breakers for me and the show, but they were enough to break the narrative for me. I'm willing to give it another shot, see if the show can find its legs, but my expectations are less than lofty. -

Sounds like you're better off, Chad.
Wait... she was a Juggalette and thought *anime* was smutty? -
I'm not sure GP is the best person to ask for advice on matters like this...

Quote:Let me just say this: cruise ships are huge... you can easily go the whole trip without having direct contact with anyone except the person who cleans your room, and the people who serve your meals. What's-his-face didn't think to get those people to verify his identity, and they are the people most likely to have been paid off first. The security guard and the concierge don't even need to be in on it. For this scheme, you just need five or six people, including the person who modifies the passenger records. The problem with hacking cruise line computers or bribing everyone involved is that I can't buy into the fact that no employee would admit interacting with the boyfriend and it couldn't be resolved via security cameras. The human interaction and sudden isolation just kills it. I have this issue with most TV shows and movies that try to play the massive conspiracy angle.
In general, I agree that most global conspiracies involve supernatural levels of organization/buy-in, but I don't think that's the case with the cruise ship incident.
Quote:Again, that's some really fine-controlled work there. Unless someone deliberately sabotaged the fighter jets before they took off but after a general inspection. -
She sounds a little unreasonable.

Well, I'm married, so I don't really have a choice.
City of Heroes all the way! -
-
You're insane.
And flagged for inappropriate language. -
Who says it was hacked? If you're a shadowy organization with unlimited funds, you bribe everyone involved and they purge the database normally. After all, they already had to hire two actors to play the couple who "really" had the room.
As far as the fighters, well, maybe whoever teleported the plane also prevented the fighters from shooting it down. -
This is a decent fourth possibility, but of course NBC just came off "Heroes" and there's that No Ordinary Family coming out. I doubt the writers want to go back to that well already.

I think Aliens is too obvious... I'm going with People From The Future And/Or Other Dimension.
I like that the 97 prisoners had their own research lab. That place is like Gitmo for mad scientists except they have a work-release program or something.
