  1. The only booster I truly regret purchasing was the Party Pack. Maybe the devs can kick everyone who bought that pile of a crap 50% of our money back on Cyber Monday.
  2. Dammit... I missed the new Praetorian arc!

Work kept me from Isos yet again, but my steady cheating grinding A-merits and running Ham TFs has me ahead of the target.

I thought Shards weren't tradeable. Which will at least mean people will have to work on all the different 50s they want to craft boosts for, rather than farming with one toon.

Look at it this way: if everyone is busy Alphaing out their 50s and running the new TFs, who's going to be left to team with in the sub-50 game? Will groups like Isolators have a place in the New World Order? Attica Attica!!

The problem is what if they release it and there's something seriously wrong with the launch? They don't want to have the devs do crunch patching work over Thanksgiving.

They definitely aren't all released on Tuesdays, but they rarely if ever are released on Thursdays or Fridays.

Don't think there is an issue with incarnate slots however.
I saw that this morning. It looks like the issue was fixed in a recent patch, but we may not be getting I19 today.
  10. Yeah, Khelds not being able to re-spec is a huge issue... especially since my all-human Warshade is going to be my first Alpha toon.
  11. I had the impression that I19 was going Live today, but I don't see any announcements about timing, so I guess it's not?
  12. This thread went to 11 while I wasn't looking.

I always thought that was the question mark.

Now that I notice the blue circle with the question mark, I can't change it.
  15. I'm pretty sure I want to Alpha my all-human Warshade first, although I'm not exactly sure which boost to go for. I might do the recharge one.

I also want to Alpha my DP/Psy Blaster; I don't think anything can help with his squishiness, but at least he'll do more damage.

Finally, once my Hero Stalker Isolator hits 50 I'm going to Alpha her, either with damage or with something that gives +Def at the higher boost levels.

I'm not thinking of myself, GP... I'm thinking of all the poor people who don't have time to devote to a TF, or just don't like playing in a group. I assume they're out there somewhere, and they're hurting.

Okay, well assuming you don't want to/can't run Task Forces? I'm curious of the time it takes to do this purely with Shard drops... soloing... on a Defender.

That Mental never existed. DC made him up.

That's good to hear! 32 sounds like a lot, but if the drop rate is reasonable enough, then it's not so bad.

Yeah, I saw this developing in the Beta forums. On the one hand I feel it's a little bit of a gyp, but on the other I won't have to grind 4,892 shards to build Rares or Very Rares.

    z0mg...

    A four day Open Beta?

Anyone want to help me out with mission 3 of the Ramiel arc tonight?

It all depends on the drop rate. If shard drops are in the purple range (fairly certain they are not, but it illustrates a point), then it is in no way casual friendly, as you'd need to log 50 (hypothetical) hours to get enough shards to do anything. If they were that rare, then people would definitely stick to the TF method to get their salvage.

Even at a more reasonable drop rate, you need 32 shards to make an Uncommon boost. Let's say it's 64 for a Rare, and 98 for a Very Rare. You don't see the problem?
  23. It's less of a cry of "Fix it!" and more of an expression of disappointment of how things are turning out. They have 9 more slots to knock our socks off with, however, so let's hope they have something amazing brewing for I20.
  24. Out of the blue, books are a tough call. You don't know the child's reading level, or their interests.

Electronics would be good for the older girl, but again, you don't know how her parents might feel about it or what they think is appropriate.

Honestly, I would go with a gift card, or with what Masque said.
