Now for my next question, which has been expressed earlier, but I thought I would re-iterate it:
Can there be an 'official' site that lists the badges that are available to acquire?
[/ QUOTE ]
While we're at it, if such a page is made - and this is something I've either not seen listed, or seen conflicting information on - for badges for kills such as Lusca, Adamastor, etc. list if *anyone* in the kill gets the badge (yeah, we're really "arresting" an octopus...) or just "the team that does the most damage/gets the first shot in/etc."
It gets to be a letdown and/or annoyance to get there only to find "Oh, you're person #9, no spot on the team, but help - you'll get the badge!" or "Oh, team1 took a shot and ran away, we can kill it..." and then not get the badge. (Yes, I know you still get the XP - or debt - but I don't look for these guys for XP.)
Nobody seems to know the criteria for each monster badge (such as adamastor, babbage, etc.) or they get conflicting info. -
* Supergroup Name: Shadow of the Storm
* Website (if any): Workin' on it
* Leader or Recruiting Officers: Rei Falcon
* Preferred Method of contact: Contact Rei, or email ingame
* Guild Description:
Not RP-specific. This is a "branch office" of the same SG on Pinnacle and Champion. We don't have membership guidelines per se - essentially, if we play with you and like you, we may ask you if you want to join. Or you can ask us. We're not picky. We do ask that you be *somewhat* active (i.e. if we end up needing room and your toon hasn't been there for 80 days, well...) but other than that, help each other out, be good to each other, and have fun. -
* Supergroup Name: Shadow of the Storm
* Website: Will post when it's up a bit more....
* Leader or Recruiting Officers: Alexander Snow, Erin Snow
* Preferred Method of contact: get one of us in game
* SG colors - black and white
* SG symbol - Lightning bolt
* Guild Description: Rather casual, and if you can't tell from the "officers" bit we can be rather alt-heavy. We also have "branch offices" on Virtue and the main office on Pinnacle. (We do have a global chat so if you're on one, you can let someone know on another if you need a hand.) Essentially, come on, have fun, try to be reasonably active. (Pretty much if we haven't seen you for a few months, you risk being cut if we need room for someone who wants to join.) Some of us RP, some of us just play, but we try to help each other out. -

Guess my stuff's going to echo the rest of the story-lovers.
1. Any way of, say, an in-game "dictionary" or "journal?" IE once you fight, say, Hellions, you get info on each. Something else (besides a badge) to work on - seeing how full your "villain guide" gets. Mid-battle is a bad place to click and pick "Info."
2. Any *more* game-wide groups like the Council or CoT planned? They seem perfectly suited to tying in with origins (and having a few others could, after, say, lvl 15, allow you to pick a "favored enemy.") Some of the "dropoff" groups (like the Tsoo) look like good places to fill out too (say, Tsoo for natural, more Crey - who should show *some* reaction you've taken out the Countess - for Tech, etc.)
3. Adding my voice here to those saying I'd *love* to be able to (a) go back and read History plaques I've found (which would also indicate what's missing) (b) re-read the full text ("Akarist's notes on the summoning of demons" for instance) in arcs and (c) get the story for TFs added to my souveniers - or journal, if they could be added to (1) above.
Yeah, I'd sit there in game and go through them.... I'm a storyhound.
(4) Any plans on tweaking the "Yes, they got your DNA!" Crey mission so you actually... oh... fight a clone of yourself? I took my (female) elec/elec blaster through that mish, and fought... a burly male spines scrapper that was my "clone."
Eh?
(5) Suggestion for the next "event." Give all the heroes a special power (Chainsaw) and let them loose in Perez.... -
I've got to say...
Feel-wise, yeah, woot! Take me down, you're going out too!
Gameplay wise, I'd rather see something else, esp. late game. More acc. Some PSI defense or something... otherwise you (or, well, I) can watch that pretty defiance bar go up with HOLD - SLEEPING - HOLD - SLEEPING alternating underneath (after popping all your BF's.)
Heck, let me get more RANGE so I'm not trying to figure out how to get past the various non-Sharpshooter, non-Comet baddies. -
jumping in here after browsing through the posts.
I have to say I've played my elec/elec blaster the most of my toons. (Given that I love range, playing rogues/snipers/etc. in other games, this shouldn't be a surprise.)
At first, I was a bit dismayed by the melee in the secondary elec pool, but even at my "mid-ly" 35, I've gotten to really enjoy it. No, I'm not a blapper (well, I rarely am, I should say.) And yes, you could say some of the secondary elec powers are "poor cousins" to the primaries (electric fence vs tesla cage, for instance.) But I've lost count of the times having Lightning Clap (or, later, having respec'd out of it, Thunder Strike) handy has saved me solo-ing, or in a team that didn't notice "bad guy behind me." Snipe boss (often a one shot, or close,) weaken minion or lt. THey come close, thunder strike, finish off as they're stunned.
I might suggest "rethinking" some of them - I gave up on an ice blaster, since I couldn't get into playing it, and the ice sword and ... I forget the power name, icy melee - were getting me into trouble, frankly, and I had no interest in charged brawl or havoc punch early on. But I can't say I have complaints with the set.
Just one blaster's opinion - and no, you can't argue with damage, when your con friend watches the damage numbers floating up and /tells you "Did I read that right?" Nice, big triple digits are a point of pride.
