  1. Hmm.
Need to get some caps from the "Wings!" video... though posing the arms would be problematic.

Then again, I don't think a spine scrapper would work with wings.
  2. Not bad, but I do have to agree with Zloth.

Not everyone has English as a first language. For that matter, they may not have it as a second or third. So, minor spelling and grammar mistakes? OK, fine.

But please, *PLEASE* put a *little* effort into your posts. Punctuation. Line breaks. Paragraphs. Anything to avoid the giant wall of text that you see forming in some posts that gets to be as painful to read as someone sticking spikes in your eyes as you try to follow word after word hoping at some point it will end yet you follow it anyway unable to tear your eyes from it like its some sort of train wreck so bad you expect to see tiny news helicopters buzzing around the post with police cars and ambulances driving up to look for victims...

... of course that was intentional.

It is, as was mentioned, "advertising." Does someone care enough about the subject to present it in a readable manner? Does it look like they thought it out? Or does it look like someone got drunk and found a keyboard?

    Readability helps.
  3. I'd be surprised *not* to hear from a Spiney PVPer. Honestly, though, I don't see many villain-side in the zones.... given the goodness of things like Impale, I'm surprised. There are enough Spine/* scrappers out there, after all.
  4. Nice guide.

FWIW, on my (admittedly lowbie) Ice/* blasters, I *love* Frost Blast. I can do quite a bit of damage with it in Perez on all-minion spawns. Nice way to get XP rolling in.
  5. Think it's on the pic, but THerra's a peacebringer...
  6. Remind me to ask you to draw me a circle...

    Wing Screenshots

Out of 125 or so characters... 9 seem definite to get them, two "maybes."

    Wing Screenshots

    So many alts...

and going through my "list" to see which ones will have them... I know I have at least one dragonkin.... Hmm, flying Kheldian catgirl with wings? Confuse everyone?
  9. Well, Squirrel, you may have the right idea.... I like what goes on in here, I peek into Kheld and (ok, hold your ears) Stalker forums, though the Stalker ones get repetitive as well... I think I'm giving up completely on Suggestions and Ideas (the minimum-3-"PVPers are evil sociopaths!" threads per day have worn me down) and even Player Questions.

It's fun here, and over on the SG forums... Rkik did a nice job giving the HBSS someplace to hang around while Hexy works out the other site. Get my writing itch scratched when it shows.

    2. Please try and make sure that your screenie isn't too dark, because my screen is a bit dark, and well...Yah...

    *sigh*

    [/ QUOTE ]

Go ahead and post your screenie...I'll try to get the detail out of it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't know, I think it might be interesting to work with a picture that's too dark.
  13. hmm. I'll take 34 then... and go with Verge .

For which EAT it would be, the Incarnates are already ruled out because Positron said it didn't fit in with the storyline. Wings in I8, so maybe Avilans, but it's very very unlikely because they're not even in the game yet, but hey, you never know. Coralax is another possibility because they're the furthest in being implemented in the game as far as having a cameo at all. Blood of the Black Stream will be the second in the running since they have some history in the game already, just like the Coralax.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think you're right... but I want my Avilians! I can wait if they're second or third.... *starts pacing...* a little... *paces more.*

*wonders if Avilians can pick up Coralax and drop them on the rocks to get to the meat inside.*

they're council cronies. the only reason that they can survive on earth in mass numbers is because the council incubates them in their prisoners (after much physical and mental abbuse ofcourse). the council also extensively uses the nictus (specificly pieces of them) to make it's galixy soldiers, war wolves and void hunters. council higher ups have absorbed the nictus (arakhn and reequem) and use thier new found power to assert council rule. hence council cronies.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I could argue it's the other way around - the Council, or at least factions of it, are Nictus cronies.

The War Wolves are failed or problematic implants.
The Galaxies get more powerful... and have a 40% (roughly) successful "full conversion" rate - presumably to Nictus.
The Void Hunters... well, we're not told quite as much about, but given they're implanted humans...

Also (and yes, a spoiler if you haven't run the Kheld arcs, so be warned...) the Nictus are using Requiem, quite frankly, to take over the Earth - not for the Council or the Center, but for themselves. (And in one of the Portal Corp missions - I believe from Unai - you get to visit a world where they succeeded, and read what Requiem has to say about it.)

The Nictus are not Council cronies. They've ... "got an understanding" with them.

You were scheduled for that on Feb. 7, 2003. Unfortunately you slept through the hour and twelve minutes allotted...
  20. Unsurprisingly, I was gaming... came back from wal mart (working as a stocker at the time, trying to get reestablished in WI.) Looked at my Diablo II group's boards... someone mentioned "someone kamikazed a plane into the world trade center."

"Nah, maybe a small one crashed or something, but that couldn't happen."

Do remember seeing the second one hit on TV. And the towers falling. ANd just flat out being in shock.

Calystix is a shaper, or at least claims himself to be, and yet he looks like a Hybrid. Though most of his body is covered by a cloak, it cannot be too radically different, as he appears to adhere the humanoid body type of most characters in the game, and there was not too much room for an massive protrusions under the cloak.

    [/ QUOTE ]
No, no, we do know he's in fact a Shaper, and don't let the cloak fool you, you never know what could be under there. Besides, the cloak was implemented for two (or three) possible reasons: (1) The devs haven't cooked up what the real Coralax would look like yet (2) The devs doesn't want to reveal what they've cooked up for the real Coralax yet or (3) all of the above.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Reason 4: To make him more "priestly." Costuming does play a part in telling a story.

    [ QUOTE ]
    - I remain convinced that the the important part of a Coralax hybrid is the coral, not the host. If the coral budded from a Shaper, then the hybrid is a Shaper, too. So far as I know, nothing like this has ever appeared in-game, but there's no evidence against it, either. Again, other than the backgrounder, which mentions Coralax cities in the sea, we know next to nothing about the "home life" of the Coralax.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'm still gonna stick with my old argument: I don't want to be made by the Coralax (as a Coralax-Hyrbid), I want to be a real Coralax who is made by the actual goddess Merulina, but let's not get into that one again, LOL.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd say if it's Coralax we see, we'll see *Coralax,* or a very unusual sort of hybrid.

I'm looking at this from the viewpoint of Kheldians. In-game, we've got the three Galaxy ranks, each a little more powerful - but the player is more powerful than them.

In-game, we've got red, green, and blue Coralax hybrids... the player would absolutely be more powerful, more "developed" or "true" to a Coralax.

Now, yes, we'd probably have to face (and defeat) stronger or more pure-blooded (pure-coraled?) Coralax, much as Khelds face Arakhn and Requiem as well as cysts and whatnot. We will, of course, have far more tools to do so.

If we're not pure Coralax, we'll be closer to it than the hybrids we see. That's my guess, at least.
  23. Spawn fan? No, I don't think it's a copy or anything, but the cloak reminds me of it... I like it.

    Cat show!

Y'know, Icy, the SG's still there... ok, pretty much dead, but Mint Chococat and Raspberry Swirl are still there...
