Leary of it? Why?
I haven't kept up with White Wolf's series of games since - well, about the time they nuked their original World of Darkness. I know they had both a regular RPG and a LARP (live action) one. Looking (quickly) at their website, it looks like Requiem's the RPG - so nothing more disturbing than rolling a large pile of dice should probably happen. -
Yep, the same person who needed inspiration came out with an inspired piece for my namesake tank (well, his remake on Victory,) Memphis Bill.

Don't you need one where TA has a level 50, so he can keep feeding INF to everyone for art?

But doesn't the UI (the status bars, menus, chat windows, power trays) still show up doing it that way?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope. They are all saved as full screen JPEGs that DO NOT have the UI in them (or speech balloons)
[/ QUOTE ]
Clearing all this up:
By default, screen shots do not have the UI shown. They are saved as JPEG images in the /screenshots folder under your City of Heroes directory.
If you *want* the UI to show, type in /screenshotui 1. The UI will show from then on.
To turn it off, use /screenshotui 0.
I have a bind set to shift+print screen (actually sysrq) that takes the screenshot with the UI:
/bind shift+sysrq "screenshotui 1$$screenshot##screenshotui 0" -
... so tempted to make "Generic Longbow Guy" now... >.<
*thumbs up* -
I pull this out every once in a while - not that there's anything special about it, it just shows why photographers hate stalkers.
Who needs a parrot? - my 'shade peeking over a friend's shoulder. Yarrr?
American Eagle - not the character's name, I just like the shot.
Smashing Pumpkins
Kheld's Eye View of an ongoing battle.
They'd never put in an aggro limit...
I see a light...
ok, it doesn't look like much, but the rent is cheap.
Ow.
Meyarrrrrr....
Going somewhere? (Yes, I know, Frostbite on top of Slick, but the slick was about to expire. )
Not impressed.
... what, two plus years now, I have a few screenies -
Yep. Sometimes they move to the tram, sometimes they move to the various entrances, other times they just sit there.
Made my Spine scrapper very happy one day. Heck, my (fortunately higher than them) Emp/Psi did quite the number on them once... -
Suggestions:
1. If you didn't want it personalized, actually Googling for "Avatar" (though "avatar" +"80px" might work better) would bring some up. Might want to anyway - you might find one you like that comes close to the picture.
2. As Larissa mentioned, Irfanview's free. Paint Shop used to have a free trial to download, the Gimp is completely free (but probably more than you need.) 80x80 for the forums... Mine, I have Photoshop Elements 5 (which actually does quite a bit) and just tweaked a picture and added some text.
Not to say requesting is wrong - it's not - just letting you know for the future. And knowing is half the battle. -

Think this was the last "list" list here... I know Chloropsychosis hasn't been done. -
The prequel one is available on the site. Hard copy? Not here.

Have to wonder when you'll want more folks to beat up on
-
... and the comment, the final cover to the series? As in arc or in general?
-
Ooh, cool...
... did we lose some comments in this thread? Overzealous mod? I distinctly remember preliminary sketches... -
Oooh. I like.

See, now, after Torch Juggler's act, we've got the perfect... assistant. Caduccia will not only cool her down and put out any... charred customers, but take care of that interesting burn-scar pattern from the costume, too.
Got to love ice and empathy. Cool and caring, and yes, she knows Jack.... at least the short, ice-cube-lookalike. -
Yes. DOF and Bloom being off should increase performance.

(I hope you can see detail since it's a screenshot, I hope the image quality doesn't change depending on your personal video cards)
[/ QUOTE ]
It won't. A screenshot's a photograph of what you're seeing. If you did a /demorecord (assuming they worked consistently any more,) *then* quality could vary depending on the viewer's hardware, as the game engine would be actually playing it back again.
For example:
Previous system screenshot
even older screenshot - think I was running an Athlon XP 2000 with a GeForce 5200 at that point...
Current system with widescreen monitor (and showing a previously-broken high level Red Cap) -
If *Sub*jectivity has no place, the only thing is *ob*jectivity. Now, unless you're grading the piece or some such - you're an art teacher, or the person commissioning a work - objectivity has a far lesser place.
Subjectivity has little place in, say, blueprints. If I'm having someone create an office building for me, I don't really give a rat's rear if they're in a "blue" period or not. I need certain amounts of space, I need to fit in this many people in this many offices with this much stuff, no funky shapes if they can help it, has to bear this much of a load, etc.
But art? OK, there's a place for it - if I asked Alex to do that Therra piece, and he came out with a black woman in an oversize afro, oversize Disco-style gold jewelry, juggling swords, I could *ob*jectively say "No, that's not the character," whether I liked the drawing or not (which would be *sub*jective, after all.) -
Not a problem, and didn't mind being a guinea pig for ya.
-
1 is interesting, and has a bit more "Depth" to it (well, feels larger.) OTOH, 2 gives more of a ... "Good vs evil" seperation (to me, at least) and, I think, lets all the characters be seen "better."
