"Exclusives" are all well and good.
Official site first, please. Or just close it and let the other sites do the work. -
Well, my answer is in spawning two threads. (Why did I get a thread started before the redname?)
Did you enjoy it? Short answer, no, see inside for why, and since this is quite honestly *dead last* in my "enjoyed events" list, Suggestions for future events. -
Charact*er?* Singular?
I think most of these have links in my sig as it is... Hmm.
- Therra Arcson, my first 50, elec/elec blaster, is what I call "vaguely magical." She had an interest in mythology and occult phenomena (as well as, thanks to her father, an interest in electronics, which in a roundabout way led her to the magical interest.) When she was attacked, hauled into an alley to be mugged, the energy from her panic as well as her prior occult interest essentially formed a conduit that allowed her goddess to quickly teach her, show her how to defend herself with energies that, for her, manifested as electrical.
That same goddess helped keep her mind intact and teach her how she could accept another when she was finally captured by the Council. It prepared her to accept a Kheldian and continue a fight when she was thought dead by her friends, emerging as Therra Paladina - new last name indicating a new purpose.
Therra Malevola was crafted by the Circle of Thorns (one of Therra Arcson's favourite foes) to try to discredit her. She was made to be a copy that would serve the Circle - but, at great risk, Therra Arcson's goddess blocked the duplicate from getting her powers, so the Circle infused her with Infernal powers of darkness and fire. She broke free of their control, rebelled, and now takes great joy in hunting them down.
Piracat was a shipboard "mascot" on a pirate ship, who would actually attack boarding parties with the rest of the crew. On one of the crew's hauls, they found an ancient, enchanted sword. The captain had a "bad feeling" about it, so they locked it in the hold. Before they could get rid of it, the cat - curious as to what was in the case, which had fallen and broken open in a bad storm - stuck a paw in and was transformed by the sword, which had searched for a weilder for centuries.
Clair de Lune's family was one with an ancient tie to the lunar goddess, serving as her hand on Earth. Her mother had rejected the call and refused to tell Clair about it, as well as cutting off contact with Clair's grandmother. Clair went to visit her (she'd loved visiting as a child) when she turned 18 and her grandmother gave her an ancient book. She opened it one night and found new words, in silver, written there. Reading them aloud connected her with the lunar goddess and she learned of her purpose and powers.
Crimson Seas (to visit the red side again) was a vicious pirate. At one point, he took over an island, terrorizing the natives with his crew. Before the shaman was killed, he cursed the pirate to never find rest... now Crimson Seas, cursed and dead, walks the world.

... see, don't get me goign on them -
Depends, are you looking at "for the boards" or "in general?"
Either way:
- Art takes time. Free art's a gift.
Somewhat related to 3 and 4, as well as 1... and, yeah, 5... It's awesome that some of the artists here do free stuff. Appreciate it. Take advantage of the offer without taking advantage of the artist. (And "Free art" might take a lot of time - real life, commissions, other work, etc. pretty much has to come first.)
Oh.. and though this is more (to me) leaning on commissioned stuff...
- Communicate, for both the artist and commissioner. At the very least, set expectations. (Even with something like Alex's "sketch a day," if someone saw some of the "might be nsfw" stuff, dropping a note saying "please don't do that with mine" or "hey, go for it" is better than saying "What the..." when it's done.)
I could actually see this expanding quite a bit - but I need to go to bed. -
Wasn't Graver already in, or am I getting confused by someone else?
-
One not sketched by anyone, hmm?
Reg.. no, alex did her. Pity, good, long backstory too.. hmm....
Almost put Piracat, but she actually had a comic cameo. Need a better pic of her when I have the money again.
This might be interesting. Ignia Elemenia
She awoke, cold, merely an ember. The last she remembered were the sizzling screams as her hearthmates were extinguished, one by one. The fury and ruthnessness of the attack astounded her.
Now she seeks answers. Why is she on this plane? How can she get home? And most importantly, who put out her family?
Questions burning, Ignia puts her control of elemental flame against those who would seek to harm others. One day she'll be home. But until then....
Edit: And Val, how is it I start posting before even suggesting you look here, and *still* end up under you? Sheesh. -

Well, I did remake MB... closer to what the character *he* was based from would really be.

That's why you're... nnngh ... teasing...
and you probably don't want to bite me that hard, I might get ideas... *is slapped** yeah. Cool. That helps, thanks.
Graver: I actually ended up changing my global to match my 'main' rather than roll up a character I literally played once for maybe ten minutes, back when I started this game. I'd say do what you want to, but it'd be cool if you either showed up as a variant of your global 'self' (like Alex or Derek) or as your main. And no one said Abby had to be a controller - Blitzkrieg's a Warshade this time 'round.

And I'm and Ice/Sonic Controller.

Yep. Rerolled mine to be closer to my SilverAge Sentinels character - spine/dark - instead of a fire/* tankl. -

I know when everything is up again for everyone, post screenies of your toons, Valkyrie, Memphis, Athyna, Sarrate, and if you can get your friend to post his toon I'll do a little sketch featuring us! Comrades who couldn't log in last night!

I didn't have the problem, I just posted for those that did.

Post anyway, you helped a lot, whether you think so or not. -
... I'd poke my nose into this, but I have so many characters and sgs I'd hate to not be able to devote "real" time to it...
Gah. That's an awful sentence. -
Ooh, cool. I saw the pic on DeviantArt (did I comment there? I don't recall, I was also looking at the greys on Sang) and didn't think to look here.
You should have a link to Violet, if you do Val's Illume... any of the others, well, they normally play with Medikitty (link in sig, of course...)
{... shush, Samoa, we are *not* married. I can hear him t hinking it from here.) -

Try LARPING a stone tank. That wouldn't be quite as painful as a fire tank, but I imangine it would be somewhat rough...

Vampire: The Masquerade is a LARPG.
[/ QUOTE ]
Vampire: The Masquerade was a series of RPGs, one component of which was a LARP. V:TM was *also* a regular - what you're calling "tabletop" - RPG. (I tend to see "tabletop" as something like Warhammer or Battletech, where people have miniatures.) They put their LARPs under "Mind's Eye Theater."
Thier side list:
Getting Started
RPGs
World of Darkness
Vampire: The Requiem <--- What he's asking about
Werewolf: The Forsaken
Mage: The Awakening
Promethean: The Created
Exalted
Dark Ages
Orpheus
Sword & Sorcery
Arthaus Games
SAS (Storytelling
Adventure System)
LIVE-ACTION GAMES
Mind's Eye Theatre <---- The LARP.
Long Live the King
Edit:
And just to followup:
Welcome to Undeath
Join the revival of the Storytelling tradition. Vampire: The Requiem invites you to tell your own stories set within the world of the Kindred. This book includes rules for using vampires in World of Darkness chronicles, covering everything from the five clans to covenants to Disciplines, bloodlines, storytelling advice and a complete spread of game systems governing the undead. Hardcover. Requires the World of Darkness rulebook for play. U.S. Page Count: 288
.... it needs the WoD rulebook and mentions the storyteller system, so this is not the LARP. Bring drinks, chip in for pizza or arrange a taco feed.
Last but not least, it looks like they have a "demo" version so you can see what happens. Make your own decisions
