My *gut* feeling is nothing, as GVE has been out for... what, a year? Longer? so seperate COH/COV purchases have long been ... eh, not sure what the word would be, but "evened out" or "melted together" works.

I'm assuming from what I'm reading that it's Matt Miller on down. Is Jack staying with Cryptic or ? I'm assuming he is to work on his pet project.

I have a strong hunch that the person (people?) who mentioned,a bove, that it was to prevent a conflict of interest with MUO probably have it. Not that it's a bad thing - but if MUO does decently, I think Cryptic is going to go the way of Bungie and get gobbled up by MS as a "development house."

Oddball side question - can we get DVD ISO images now to make backups?

Finance related question (for lack of a better term) - for those of us who bought both, not as GVE but "Had one, then bought the other," any chance of an extra month or something? (I doubt it, and it really won't bother me if not, even if I bought both the COH DVD and COV CE, it's just curiosity.)

Other side questions:

Will this make some of the requests players have had "more possible," such as the purchase of server slots, since everything's internal to NCSoft now? Or "Same account holder inter-account transfers?"

What does this do for some of the "in limbo" merchandise, such as the COH RPG? More pressure, new development house to start over with, ?

Will we get swag in the store?

Will we have things such as the Hero Gear kit able to be re-created and able to be purchased again?

Teleport does a great job of moving in a straight line. Until you have to turn around, or until your PC has to load new textures to the graphics card, at which point you fall out of the sky and die. At least, that's what happens when I try it.

Answer:

Try to immobilize them.

Seriously. My *first* 50 was a teleporter. Third character overall. My system was far from great (Athlon 1700, GeForce 5200, 512 Mb RAM) and I had nowhere *near* the problems you claim Teleport has.

You don't *need* hover. You don't *need* Aid Self - I don't think I've taken it on any character of my 130, and that is mostly made up of squishies. I don't *need* CJ, Acro, etc - even before IOs. If you *Want* them, fine, that's your choice, but you don't need any of them any more than you need Jump Kick if you use Teleport.

You must've missed some of the "Hey, my house is buried in snow" snowfalls. As for tornadoes? I could almost rattle them off... every county *around* Milwaukee. Never one in it though... "Waukesha, Ozaukee, Racine, Kenosha...."

(21 years there. Florida now. I actually want to go *back.* I miss seasons - yes, even with shoveling. Heck, I remember this as being a light snow.)

As for earthquakes? Felt the (far) effects of a few while in Oregon...

vonDrakkar is part of a line that has, in its distant past, the blood of dragons mixed with it. Every century (or at need,) one is born from these lines with the powers of their patron, their physical appearance changing not just as they mature - but as they use their power, getting "closer" to their patron Dragon.


Therra Malevola is a creation of the Circle of Thorns. My first 50, an elec/elec blaster, Therra Arcson, was always a... thorn in their side, so to speak. When she was captured during a raid on a Council base, the Circle took advantage of the opportunity to steal some of the hair and blood left on one of the rocks, infusing it into a form they created - but the original Therra's patron goddess blocked this construct from having her powers, so she was put through a ritual to grant her infernal powers instead. She thanked the Circle by breaking out, slaughtering any mage she sees. Blaming Therra (the original) for her existance, she seeks to kill her, too.


Ignia Elemenia is, for lack of a better description, an advanced fire elemental. She lived with her family in a dimension of almost pure flame. She woke one day to find them extinguished, and with her emotions running the gamut at this discovery (not unusual for these creatures,) vowed to find who did it and why. The journey has led her to Paragon.

Incineria - the one who snuffed Ignia's family - is actually a relative, though more ash than fire. The hatred she and her family has had for their more "gifted" cousins smouldered for eons until Incineria did something about it... but she missed Ignia. Her family, though secretly approving of the act, had to banish her for their own protection, casting her from the plane for at least a century until things cooled off a bit...

She wound up in the Isles.
