  1. Eh.

Not really against it, not really jumping up and down for it. (And I keep thinking "converters" when I read "catalysts" for some reason.) Can't think of a reason *not* to trade within the account.
  2. ... ok, so what happened last night?

Joined a few of the LoC and some pickups over on Guardian to run Quarterfield. Since, well, I hadn't run it in ... I don't know, have I ever run that? Might be blocked out of my memory. It was several hours of pain, as usual, including "Who the *&#$#(* thought putting huge spawns just outside AND just inside the door was a good idea?" and "Six more missions...what year is it now?"

    But that wasn't surprising.

What *was* surprising is seeing two other groups start this up within the first few missions we ran. *Three* groups running Quarterhell at once. Unplanned... and they were still dragging along when we finished ours, five hours and eleven minutes later.

Did we have some weird planetary conjunction last night that triggered this? Mass insanity? One group, ok, but three at once? I don't think I've heard of that (unplanned) in a long time. Or, really, ever.

So, Name, Forum and Global initials (other global has only one letter...)

FWIW, I'd agree with this if you're not sacrificing much for it - just because we, as Khelds, *will* be facing voids/nictus/quants/NPC khelds.

Plus it makes slapping Freakshow around fun. >.>

edit: also, your video is marked private, wtg.
Not what you were saying, but hey, if you want to go rewrite history, go ahead.

    /golfclap

By the way, if you *do* want to rewrite history, it helps if you edit this:

out of your original post. You know, where you were wrong. And still are. (Though its' rather hard to do when it's been put in multiple quotes.)

    Seriously, two options:
    1. "Oh. You play peacebringers, you might know what you're talking about. OK, mention to the COD folks that needs updating. Thanks for the info."
    2. Do what you did.

I expected better of you from your prior posting history, but, as you say, wtg.
  7. As generally happy as I am with blasters (IE, overall I think they're in pretty good shape, little tweaks might work - specifically snipes and nukes, some sets could use tweaking,) I could go for this. Since it does require you to keep attacking.
  8. Alternately, they don't want (too badly) to remove a slotting option people may have taken - such as Performance Shifter. (Purely a guess - I'd have to actually put a "Chance for +end" in there and see if it still fires off.)

Light Form has the same "Modes disallowed" data as, for example, Shining Shield: cannot be activated while in forms.

    //threadjack//

WHY are you arguing with someone who damn well plays the things and is telling you COD is WRONG in this case? COD is not the word of $deity.

Since you won't take my word for it, look for yourself. Video of me *switching forms while Light Form is active.* As of a few minutes ago.

Jesus. You think I'm telling you this for giggles or something? And if that's not good enough for you YET (and you're a VIP, you can go down to the Kheld forum and *see people discussing it,* even ask others that use it,) you're more than welcome to come to Pinnacle or Victory where my 50 PBs reside and see for yourself, live and in person.

Blaster_Mode is squid, Tanker_Mode is lobster. This power is not allowed to be activated in these modes.

It replaces your character model with the old wisp model (if power customization is set to wisp - you can see this in character creation by going to the power customization screen), or, as I said before, it can be set to a wispy aura FX on the human character model.

CoD is updated as of 5/31 so this should be current data.

What I'm taking issue with is this, as the OP is asking for build, not fashion, advice:

    Which is incorrect.

All that costume option does (which I will admit I missed, as it was dropped entirely last I'd seen when the power was changed) is prevent the *look* of the form from going through. Not prevent the form. Therefore, you are using old information. (Or misinterpreting *this.*) Once LF drops, if you're in form, it'll drop you back to the normal form look.

Harping on it because I don't want someone ELSE reading it and going away with incorrect information on PBs.

You're using old information, Aggy. Light Form is now usable in other forms. It doesn't (unfortunately) do the "ball of light" animation any more.

... y'know, the last line's very true. I used to use them fairly frequently (of course, that's before the ferry integration) and I had to think about what you were talking about for a moment. I was thinking about the thing that patrols in Grandville, then the ones that went to PVP zones. >.<

    "Punched through the floor?"

    (A) you're exaggerating, and (B) why should it NOT be autohit? Because you're a melee that typically doesn't have to worry about much of anything? Besides, it's autohit *at very short range.* (See screenshot section above.) And (C) as mentioned already, it's a very manageable threat.

If you want to blame anyone for this being autohit, blame the people continually talking about how easily they cap defenses on everything they play. Do you think that would *really* have just been allowed to pass by? Frankly, the super stunners are still them getting off light.

Furthermore, all of those things have a distinct appearance - the towering Warhulks, the gangly robotic Jump Bots, etc. How do you pick out a Super Stunner from the crowd once the shooting starts? Look for a slightly different shade of pants?
They have their own, "heavier" look. They look the same each and every time. (Mesh shirt, armored bottom, heavy boots, generally darker.)

Besides, aren't you the one saying you want people to develop situational awareness? (In other words, "Pay attention to what's going on.")

Not sure who you're responding to. Nobody said YOU get knocked back. You knock THEM back - or let a teammate do so *without chasing them.*

If you have no knockback of any sort (or hold, or immob, or ranged attack of ANY sort) - make sure JUST ONE person is in range, at worst. They rez with almost no health. People do it *now* with things that explode. You're not doing anything new.

Also, since you're the one complaining, do you have the Nemesis staff or Blackwand temp powers? If so - there's your solution. Down to a sliver of health, jump back (the rez range isn't that far,) fire off ranged power, watch stunner die and not rez, move on. If not, there are a *pile* of temp powers that will give you a ranged attack. If you're on a team, what's everyone running? All melee? Someone have Focus? Impale? Burn? (DOT, jump back,) Focused Burst? I don't think I have ever seen a team with absolutely *zero* ranged capability, even on "all melee" teams (SOMEONE has a temp power or ten.)

Edit: And jousting them works just fine. Sprint by, keep moving, take a quick hop with the attack queued. You get out of range quickly - yes, even with just sprint. The range is *short.* (Also the same thing I tell people complaining about their melee vs. Protean. Works well vs. him, too.)

How far do you have to move? Sprint +inherent Hurdle gets you out of range.

    Ouro intro arc

    Same.

While we're at it, can we drop the HP on the mole machines in Black Scorpion's patron arc? Either that or give a glowie we have to fight to to "activate a self destruct" or something? The last time I ran it, I think I did exactly the same thing agg. mentions - dual boxed, invited myself, set attack on auto/pets on attack, went and read a book for 10 minutes, moved to the next one, rinse, repeat.

Teleport also will not work on "more powerful" foes. So you might be better off just managing your holds and paying attention. The slot for that power could be used better.
And... I tend to disagree, at least in general.

Depending on what's around, I'll TP Foe the void to where I am (with stuns ready and waiting) and queue up the hold for when they arrive. Same also holds true for things like sappers. (Some spawns, of course, I'll just hop right in and GW them on arrival, of course. All depends on the spawn and the group.)

Doesn't need a lot of slotting, really. Stick an acc in and be done with it.
  18. Absolutely, positively *not* to the presence pool. I suggest you look up "tankerminds."

I also suggest you look up what happened when the devs just decided in a beta to replace - not add, just replace - the "least popular" power in the Patron power pools. I don't think there was a single person who actually approved (especially as IOs would become completely useless.) You'll notice we have five powers to take there now...

    Perhaps you should rethink those.
  19. Memphis_Bill

    Super Stunners

No, I don't think they're cheap, I don't "know" or "think" it. They're not that bad.

And IMHO, someone who keeps chasing them after the third/fourth/fifth/tenth one rezzes *after being intentionally knocked away with a sliver of health* deserves a debuff. I mean, the first time or two, it's understandable not to catch it, perhaps.

Besides, a fair number of sets have a way to knock them away already (yes, that knockback everyone hates) even without vet powers (Nemesis staff, or at least Blackwand at range.)

Worst comes to worst, if you're solo/duo, kite the sucker. If you have only one person in range, they rez with a sliver of health.

    Seriously, it's barely a molehill.

And, as mentioned, it can't make a comeback if it never existed. It was scrapped for Inventions. Personally, I'd rather not have them bring in yet another new system, go "oooh" and "ahhh" over it for an issue, maybe an issue and a half, and forget completely about it. It's the way this dev team is.

To be blunt, your entire post is pure BS.

I especially find the bit on SOs funny, when we have people (still!) complaining about, oh, Trapdoor, First Ward, etc. with their fancy builds and I wander through them on SOs... pretty much without trouble.

The only - *ONLY* - time I'd say someone should ignore SOs is if they're going into a PVP league. But at that point, you actually ARE competing with others. Other than that, leave it at "I prefer a build this way" instead of implying you're going to be somehow unable to do anything or left behind if people don't play/slot exactly the way you do.

We have no information on it, really. The Universities were first put in because of it - we'd go there to "learn" it or some such. It was scrapped without even getting to a closed player beta (or at least a very wide one) because, as I recall the explanation, "It just wasn't very fun."

So, yeah. We got inventions later.

  25. Took my Dark/Psi out for a moment. Found a nice group of 5th Column. Confused the boss, who quickly killed the others - no XP.

If he's getting XP, he's doing something else as well - an immobilize, a proc in the confuse perhaps, something.
