Temp Power: Summon Donald Trump.

Really depends what you're into. I think I have all the purchaseable/VIP costume sets, since I spend an eternity or two in the editor. Same with the power sets - anything that'll "make" a character for me.
Of course, you don't say how long you were gone - there may be some free, in game QOL items that help out (like the combat attributes monitor - see signature.) I set that up on pretty much every character. -
Quote:Let me point out that to some people this is just an utterly foreign concept. And not just with Electric blast. I was asked fairly recently if I... let me find the quote:Point:
If DPS were the only thing that made a set worth playing, only Fire blasters would ever have existed in the first place.
This may surprise some people, but many people who play and enjoy Electric Blast simply do not care at all that their power set is viewed as bad or underperforming by people on the forums.
My wife is a good example of that. Her main is an E3 blaster, and she does not care in the slightest that you think her character is weak.
Quote:Do you purposefully take powers/powersets that are weaker or have minimal uses? -
Quote:Eww. Don't link to the old Wikia site. That site is not just obsolete, but a favored target of malware loaders and other nasties.http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Genesis
I know I know site is obsolute but at least it is something to look for :P

Guess I need to work on my SS/Dark brute to see this difference... since the Dark/SS tank I just finished up didn't seem to take all that long finishing things off (nor does my Fire/SS - all versions of my forum-namesake.) Might be a SS specific thing, though, as mentioned upthread.

Quote:And that's just on the one account... 174 on the other. (Boosters, not characters.)I think Memphis_Bill has over 300 characters.
It takes a while to get around to doing that many boosts.
Honestly, I don't even think about them. I think I use the unslotters more (which isn't saying much, really.) Even have some catalysts sitting about.
TBH, I'd like more filtering for those items - get the ATOs in one category, stuff like boosters/catalysts/unslotters in another, inspirations in a third, temp powers in another, but I'm not sure how it would be done without making the UI (even more of) a mess. -
As i didn't really see it mentioned in the various PVP discussions...
Browse through the PVP and server forums. As a free player, you'll be *very* limited where you can post - honestly, if you don't mind throwing money at the game, get a subscription and it will be a lot more accessible. (There's a Paragon Rewards system that will permanently unlock some things - ATs, as mentioned, INF caps, etc. - but a lot of it is "permanently" unlocked as long as you have a sub, like the ATs, tells, etc.)
Back to the PVP though - look for (a) a PVP supergroup and/or (b) the people holding "PVP Boot camps." If you're really looking for it, you'll likely end up on Freedom - but that's another benefit to having the subscription, you have a lot more slots on ALL servers if there's PVPers you want to interact with on another server as well. -
Quote:I like VS, but I could go for this.I like the idea, but maybe put the Short Circuit when the VS is formed (Thematically the its pulling Electricity out of the Environment to make the VS). VS already has so much front loaded damage. Electric could use more damage AoE or Single Target.
Alternately - and something I've suggested before - is to "backport" what almost every other electric set has, chaining, into 1-2 powers. VS is one possibility, Tesla cage another (think those kitschy "plasma balls," but holding a shuddering, twitching enemy inside.) The hold wouldn't chain, but it would cause damage to anything around it. -
Works fine for my (currently premium) second account.

Quote:This, pretty much. Why would I want to work towards something that can only be used in something that I'm grinding in order to work towards something I can only use while grinding for more of the same thing?
I mean, would you grind Positron so you'd have powers that can only be used on the Posi TF?
The content supporting the system should have been more extensive to begin with - solo/small team as well as trials. Sure, I'll run 1-2 trials with freshly incarnated 50s - but then they mostly sit. DA isn't interesting enough to repeat over and over and over and over again.
Of course, I know they couldn't put more Incarnate content out without moving people from *other* areas that need work. But still, there's little to nothing out there making me go "OMG, I really have to work on getting more Incarnate levels/powers!" I'd rather run another alt. -
Quote:Yeah, they can do damage. But what I'll always have in mind with Rhinos?"Stupid Rhino smashing my stupid car!"
That brought me back to an experience I had when I was a child, lol...
There's one in the Homosassa, FL preserve. (Go for the manatees, stay to visit everything else - otters, eagles, gators...)
They make it *very* clear to be aware of the "spray area" behind the rhino. The very extensive spray area.... we gave it extra room to be sure. -

I believe it's in the body of the email, just like the 25 reward merits... let me look again, though.
Edit: Yep. Mine shows
"Enhancement booster (1)
Available: 345"
... as the body of the email. -
Annnnnd.... at least for me, victory's acting up again. Just as I finished tweaking a costume that was bugging me, too... as in "Mouse cursor about two inches from "Finish" and closing.
:P -

First you must begin working on a battle station in secret. When it's finished, you can dissolve the Imperial senate and only then hand over control to the regional governors. Fear will keep the people in line - though you may have a small rebellion to put down.

So... you want to swing a Rikti around and hit stuff?
-
/this. Though I didn't quite last that long - I'll join if someone's desperate for a fourth, and I certainly haven't farmed it (I think at most I've done two in one day... maybe one or two a week since then.) It's just... eh. Less a blockbuster than a sidewalk-chipper.

Bluntly - What business is it of yours, and why is it in the least bit threadworthy? What's next, "If you RP, why not unsubscribe and just use IRC?"
Until you're paying my $15/month - and an irritation bonus of $35/mo on top of it - don't freaking WORRY about how I, or anyone else, plays. -
Er... no. If I'm not using them, I'm not using them - I may, for instance, be holding up for a boss fight I *know* is coming at the end, with a tray of purples, reds, maybe blues if I'm iffy on Endurance. Having those "autocast" on me (and filling me with, say, breakfrees on a tank, some awakens, etc.) would *seriously* annoy me.
Now if you're talking about stuff that *would* (in theory) drop being auto-cast... again, if I don't need it, no, I don't want it particularly. There are times, for instance, that I'm watching my damage, trying not to hit a certain point (or trying to get away from whatever it is before doing the last bit of damage) that getting a red suddenly dropped on me would screw up. (For instance, super stunners - or trying to be sure I've got a Fake nemesis or Power paragon protector in a position they can't PFF/MOG at me and waste my time.) And what are you going to do with Awakens?
