From what I can discern, when there is a riot, one must go loot the museums as well. This happened in Iraq in 2003 and now in Egypt. I suppose Azuria's vault will have to suffice in CoH.
Here in the States, of course, the proper way to redress grievances or hardships is to steal big-screen TVs. Bad judicial verdict? Smash the window, steal the TV. Floodwaters threaten death and disease? A 52" flatscreen will ensure your survival. Your sports team won? Burn a car then steal a TV. They lost? Just the TV then. Hey, there are no ships laden with tea in the harbors any more, but there are tons of big TVs.
So where is the nearest Best Buy and just what are we protesting again? -
This has been a Test.
Had it been an Actual Thread, you would have been instructed on where to read to obtain Vital Information. Since it was not, we merely played random electric noises at ear-splitting levels.
This was ONLY a Test. -
So is the Login Server now down? I have adjusted my firewall as usual but No Joy on logging in.

Quote:I think some of the Cryptic folks resided there before the buyout and the Paragon Studios establishment.I always thought Founders Falls had some striking similarities to Austin Texas. Even some of the names within the zone seem to have references to areas here in Austin. Might be all in my head, but if I'm not mistaken, part of COH development took place in Austin.
Perhaps you could elaborate on the "striking similarities" to Austin Texas that you see. Austin certainly lacks the canals and the freely-flowing automobile traffic of Founders Falls, although the hilly areas next to the lake-like areas certainly suggest some areas of Austin. Still, I never have thought "This is like Austin!" when I go to Founders, so I am curious as to why it strikes you that way. -

Well, someone fired off the Omega 13, so I took the opportunity to deck Sarris and prevent him from killing everybody in the next go-round.

Where are the folks with their amazing Magnifying Image Screens when you need them?
I am a bit dismayed he waited until he was a Semi-Nutburger before revealing he played CoH. If he had done so at the height of "I Walk the Line," it would have been cool... -
Sadly, Mauve Arrow and Puce Arrow were both denied membership in the Justice League of America.
"Oh yeah, like Green is something Fresh and New with THAT group," commented Puce Arrow.
It can get tough. Ollie probably camps the name whenever he is inactive, too. -
So... it was a *dramatic music* TEST, was it?
Admiral Ackbar announces when it is a TRAP, so who should announce when it is a TEST?? -
What is this "soda" you speak of?
In Texas, you get a "Coke."
example:
"You want a Coke?"
"Yeah, I'll take one."
"What kind you want?"
"Diet Pepsi."
See? -

*THWIP!* *THUD!*
*Villain looks at arrow in chest*
"This arrow has waterspots and finger prints all over it! HAHAHAHA!"
*Villain falls over*
Well, I hope you are prepared to be taunted like that continually unless you keep after your polishing duties! -
It frustrated Chuck Berry to no end, however, that Maybelline was NEVER the correct answer for any of the test questions, and he famously lamented, "Oh Maybelline, why can't you be true?"
Make-up tests can be VERY sneaky. -
Quote:Once you learn that this continued even after she graduated, a theory takes shape...Silver Mantis forged her parents' signatures on the school permission slip allowing the Principal to spank students as a means of punishment.

Unless you were Caesar, then you would have conquered.
(And then been stabbed repeatedly, but hey, why spoil the moment, ya know?)

Steelclaw, I found myself thinking, "Well, of course" as I read each one of these.
It is so well done, I am not sure if this is a comedy list or a documentary! -

Quote:CoH players enjoy messing up cutscenes with clever remarks, but that is about it.Night and day difference... I gave up trying to make vids on another game I play on coz the support I've so gotten used to here is completely lacking any place else.

Quote:Judging from the lack of foresight and the obliviousness to the results that follows, my guess would be that new dev, Fusionette.Well,w e don't actually know who a lot of the devs are, or what their roles are - so it's quite possibly someone who's never posted here before

Quote:From your keyboard to God's ear.I, however, hope "those other games" do succeed because they'll keep all those players you talked about over there, and away from here.
I lurked for almost a year here because I did not feel I had anything useful to contribute, being an utter newb. I encountered a few snarky, snarky responses, but I have noticed that the vast majority of the snarky folks moved along and were no more, and the truly helpful folks have remained, and indeed, are helpful to this very day.
I saw a response to a question just this morning that snarky folks would have responded with "lrn2play" "lrn2search" or "read the Wiki, stupid!" yet several folks replied with excellent, fairly detailed ideas on how to solve the problem posed in a TF. I have my 69 month badge and I did not know some of those things!
It is indeed a great community in the forums, and I have tried to thank folks that have been helpful and often, PATIENT and helpful, with me. Likewise for folks in the game who have acted with generosity, help and kindness to an utter stranger. I, in turn, have tried to do the same to others, and have been gratified to see that one newb that I helped out long ago has turned into one of the biggest helps on my home server: patient, generous and a fine leader of a huge SG.
So pass it along. It makes the CoH community the great place that it is.
