    2 star? your generous.

A Star and a note, but generally I would call it griefing. If you see them making a habit of this sort of thing, you could report them. If you make a notes of Time/Server etc
  2. its not really simple though. I was doing an LGTF the other evening and we waited at the entrance for a stealther to get to the end and tp us all since it was late and people wanted to finish.

I notice i've TPd and only a few pets have come, so I use my regular dissmiss All command I have bound for emergencies, incase the others are charging across the map agroing everything.

I Try to resummon and only get back the 2 pets that did come with me for the TP, 1 Tier1 and 1 Tier 2. While the team engage the AV.

And now i'm in a bad siuation, all my pet powers are recharging, so I'm down on damage and agro control with only 2 pets out. By the time they are recharged 1 AV is down, Hero1 is almost down and I feel like a leech on the last mission.

I know a stealth and tp to the end is a fringe case, but its still an annoying as hell bug to have to ressummon in a the mission, I hate resummoning at all in a mission, it seems to drop my pace a little.

I've changed my dissmiss bind to th erelease bind now, I should have done it ages ago, since it does the same thing, but only one fixes the bug. This and pets charging into melee when told to stay out of it really anoy me!

Not really, you got the Bonus XP, that was your non-incarnate reward for doing the WST, are you saying that you should be entitled to 2 rewards for doing it while everyone else's already level 50s are only entitles to one?

The only people that really loose out with this and what you get as a bonus seems to be people who are level 50 without the incarnate unlocked, or people who ding 50 while doing the WST. The latter of those 2 I would feel sorry for, the former has obviously made a choice to do the WS with a non-incarnate.
  4. Whle not necessarily on point so much, but is TK a worthwhile power pick? I've always found it to hog too much endurance to take?
  5. One Heart attack moment where the tank with the Thorns temp DCd at the start of the Aoen mission, but he came back just as we got to the Aoen room.

And also had one run where our tank (who was last on the team and had caused the first tank to switch as he desperately wanted to bring his tank) pointed out that he had no taunt for Lord Recluse... I was very glad we had 2 illusion controllers with us, as I doubt gauntlet could have held agro. But the tank ate floor within a second of agroing the big guy anyway.

    Buzzsaw Melee

one wrong move and someone is loosing their own head.

its a nice idea, but theres other melee sets I would rather see first as more of a staple of the genre.
  7. I dunno Katie,

thats great, and so was Moos, but it doesnt take into consideration the time taken, and then your still stuck asking others how long it may take, and then you may as well ask others how hard it is.

I personally found the STF to be very challenging when it was put in, many many failed attempts, now that others have fallen into sensible play on it, and good strategy its fun, but I did find it as a casual and fairly numbers ignorant person at the time, to be frustrating.

I have to say I have been very glad over the last few days people have been willing to include my MM, I was worried about her, but I hope my team mates could say over the last few days shes always been useful and not a problem.

The trouble with all TFs, but specifically this TF is that its all backended difficulty. You do a series of relatively easy missions and take down an AV in the end, TF done.

STF is pretty samey, you do a mission and fight a relatively easy AV, and then you fight 4 more in the next mission, and by now you know you've got a problem as they are just so darned easy, if your wiping to them, you could just give up, but chances are your tank may die to the second AV, who does psi damage, but you'll probably be fine.

And through the next, and even the next mission is pretty easy, except for the impossible t defeat it unless you got someone sensible and still connected to use the temp power on the AV. (on a tangent, very annoying to have to give up because someone DCd and they had the temp)

Then you get to the last mission, and you have 3 of the toughest AVs (and 1 pretty easy on) stood next to eachother, they like to come in packs and can do some pretty mean things.

Ghost widow can hold your tank with a mag 100 hold, that requires either some stacked buffing, or alot of breakfrees. Heals herself off melee range (yay broken MM pets) and is a bit of a cow. Now her combat buddy is a guy who charges in with pseudopets that your severely held tank cant get the agro off and they go round throwing squiches int the air hapless abbandon.

It can be pretty tough. Your team could be happily strolling along on the easiest of MO runs, and then literally stop dead and be completely unable to finish, its a bit of a pain in the butt!

Thats generally why I like the slide form AV fights being the hammering down on their HP while they use their trick every so often to being a bit more of an actual challenge.

Over the time since issue 19 dropped and gave us that new morality mission I've had One Good Spider drop first about 20 times... Unusual Suspect has only dropped first twice. I guess the Dev's felt that stealth to the first room on the first floor, free the hostage and take out two ambushes was too easy... it usually took me 2 minutes to do on my Ill/Rad, BS/Shield or Fire/EM blaster... my main hero merit farmers.
    Weird.

Ive done the One Good Spider tip twice since its inception, and keep getting Usual Suspect.

    Indeed.

    Very nice work guys. lovely.
  10. Below is my current build.

It seems You have been given some bad advice.

    1) Performance Shifter Proc in Stamina, has a chance to trigger every 10 seconds. Generally Plain IO/Plain IO/ Perf Shifter gives the most recovery over time, but ive gone for 3 perf shifters for the set bonuses.

    2) Prescence Pool is AWESOME. Running bodyguard mode damage you take is divided among your pets, If you can't convince the enemies to hit you, then they will hit your pets, and kill them. Having your pets killed is bad.

Taunting the enemies to hit you keeps your pets alive, and if you are softcapped you survive a hell of a long time.

Over the last few days i've done many STFs, and I tend to position myself at the ambush spawn points in the second last mission, and just handle them as they come in.

AoEs are a bit of a pain because damage from hitting you and your pets could take the little guys out. But its pretty rare.

I now have the rare Cardiac, becuase endurance is a pain, but it was certainly a very fun and viable build before that.

Crack Whip I only have because the animation is awesome. That and SS could be dropped for fly and group fly for a bit of team movement, which would help and stop the boys finding their own way when pathing can be a pain, but I find I have pretty good pet control and awareness anyway.

    Soloing the STF!

If you confuse Dr Aeon before you agro, he will summon his pets as an enemy to him too, so they will help with damage.
  12. Don't put the Energy Manipulator Proc into Conductive Aura. I played it 10 - 50 on my Dominator and found it to rarely trigger, and never at a key moment.

Looking at your Build, Conductive Aura is an awesome power, except for when it involves AVs, then sapping seems to be useless, but I would still 6 (or if not then 5) slot it.

You havent done it there, but do make sure you don't slot the sleep Proc in Static Field because its cheaper, its useless here.

Arctic Fog is abit... meh for defence really. You could take out Red Fortune, and put in a Lotg +rech, which would put you at 5 of those, and give more recharge overall. this would un softcap you, but you could then move over The steadfast Proc. and then either throw in a 1 Hammi-o to keep softcap, or change your slotting on Chain Fences by making it all Enfeebled Operation.

Synaptic Overload: Take out the Confuse enhancement, its only giving you 3 seconds, from 54 to 57 seconds confuse... plenty of time to reapply if you need it anyway, and saves you a slot.

Tactics, good place to push to softcapping, I would rarely run it, and not worry about the endurance in it, but thats up to you if you think you'll use it.

I would loose the force feedback from Fissure, they seem nice, but rarely add much. Even in AoEs.

And Jolting Chain, its a good place for the Devastation "Chance to Hold" Proc if you wanted it, My dominator doesnt need to go for damage in it, so I cant say how good an idea if is to slot a damage set, its up to you.

I've got you 5 free slots now.

Benumb could do with more accuracy I think, since its such long recharge. Conductive Aura could take a few more slots, but thats up to you, its probably fine as is.

Heatloss could take an extra slot.

And even Earths Embrace could benefit from a heal IO, but up to you. I've not made many changes, since it looks pretty decent overall.

Yes the Hammi-os are very expensive, but just run States for them or something.

Also consider where you want to go with your Alpha slot.

  14. If an EB/AV version was available, and you could make them show up with difficulty settings or so on, I wouldn't have a problem with that.

But having them show up as EB on a "regular" difficult setting would be a no-no
  15. Or some sort of mouse over pop up that shows people.

One of the main problems too is getting to that bar, since its all the way over there >> and it took me a couple of goes to get to the damn thing before I relised i could click on the very rare then go over there with easy.

Sounds silly, but since theres no GUI appearance for it being clicked itwould seem clicking on it does nothing at first.
  16. My Demon/Dark MM is awesome, I reconmend you keep at it.

In the last few days ive done a fair number of STFs, and never faceplanted on them, and tended to tank all the ambushes that came along, and led the charge sometimes.

Its fun sets, I don't know how /Traps will work with demons mind.

    oh we definately do,

watching the Transformers now (I have the '86 movie in 6 different formats, so yeah) theres alot of animation errors and things like that, but theres a soul to it that doesn't come across in the new transformers stuff, and believe me, I give them all a chance.

Plus theres a dumping on the source inspiration, such as a characters personality.

Now with transformers if you look at Grimlock there were 2 different itterations of him at once.

    1) The UK comic run, which potrayed Grimlock as a sensible, inteligent leader in contention with Prime.
    2) US TV Grimlock, which showed an easily manipulated moron.

Why, because both were coming out at once, and the UK was translating comics before the cartoon was getting done in the states.

But now you've got these staple characters, and theres no reason not to follow their personalities.

    As an example;

new iterations of Iron Hide no longer show the sensible war veteran, the right hand man of prime, friend and trusted ally.

instead he is the rebelious youth, naive and almost human in his lack of understanding of how things have worked in this eons long battle.

    Wait? Thats Hot Rods' job?

Nope, hes hanging about as Rodimus, the name change shouldn't happen until he becomes Prime, and he barely fitters into Iron hides old role?

    Whats with that?

This is something that should be changed IMO.

It's very counter-productive as far as the game goes... when you like to team up to level (hey, it's fast/easy!) it does not make any sense to *avoid* the content that everybody is doing during the week. Well, given the current fact that you will be unable to get the NOTW of the week if you run it before you're 50 with the slot unlocked, it does.. which is wrong.

At the very least, we should have the option to pick NO added reward for the strike target, until we're ready to get the incarnate component...
Pre-50s get a big XP Bonus.

If suddenly you could collect Incarnate stuff before being an incarnate, people would suddenly have rares an stuff as soon as they open their incarnate slot, which would be fairly bad design.

its WAI, and its good WAI.

and to DumpleBerry, you were not the only one to read the OP as you did. People need to be a bit mroe accurate when asking for help.

I'm hard-pressed to think of a single instance where an 80s cartoon property was rebooted and it wasn't handled with care--and, dare I say it, sometimes came out a lot better than the source material. The people who reboot these shows, thus far, obviously have a lot of love for these series and have done right by them.
Really? You've got atleast 1 on your list right there.

    More Slots

    Minotaur,

all I ever wanted was either access to a 5th power pool, or epics at 38, either would be the icing on the cake for me now, but definately dont want / need more slots.

    So I had an Idea, somehow somewhere in the game, whether with vanguard merits, reward merits, A-merits, or maybe buying them with inf from a special praetorian contact;

there should be a one-time-per-character option to buy around say 6 extra enhancement slots (to be placed on your powers at the trainer)

what does everyone else think about this idea?
No it doesn't. Bad maths is bad.

We have 3 extra powers and the same number of gained slots, which ultimately means 3 extra slots. Theres no loss.

Also, you may want to search, this has been done ad nauseum, and the general consensus is that its less than 0.25 slots per power difference before than after (or something like that)

inteligent changes to builds and use of the alpha slot has made many of my builds (planned and live) better.

As a small example, 4 days worth of Aligment work gets you a LoTG + Rech, if your fitness replacements you take a defence set (hover, combat jumping stealth pool) as a mule, you can slot that LOTG (assuming your build wasn't at the cap for that) and save 3 or 4 whole slots out of a mule power. If you were over going for recharge.

    This is just one example.

Although I mostly agree, pretty bad.
