    Forum Logins are the same as your game account login, so the same sort of thing should happen to them

    Was it the Form or Function which put you off the power that I think is best Form + Function in the entire game?

    Seriously I could roll an army of sstalkers for how well that synergises with them, and probably just as many Scrappers/Tankers / Brutes... as long as they were all Electric Melee.
  3. Too Hard ot answer.

    Propel and Wormhole are 2 of my most aesthetically enjoyable powers. Propel for awesomesauce "look ma a forklift truck" and Wormhole for leveling up, going outside, finding a group and aiming for the sky...

    But deary me, gravity control is so hard to stick with because its functionally inept...

    Meanwhile if I look at the implementation of say... hmmm? what is the most "powerful" esque powers? lets look at FF. it gets the job done, it does what it says on the tin, it makes bubbles, and the bubbles are slightly more fun now they are tintable, but the aesthetic is a bit dull, and tends to give me a headache, and because the whole powerset is geared towards that end goal, its quite hard to stick with, its very much one flavoured.

    Why can't I have both, and I think I will, I break your rules and Lightning Rod, I choose you!
  4. Mercs I find the be one of the underperforming sets, however not the worst that there can be. Though I think general consensus Thugs/Demons/Bots are where the money is at in terms of best performing primaries, really any of them can work.

    As far as thermal goes, its not, for the sake of synergy, the best power combo with bots. Protector bots dish out defence to you, and the rest of you're bots, so combining it with a defence based secondary, traps/FF would work better.

    But then saying that you certainly wouldn't find a Bots/Thermal to be gimped or useless.
  5. It does try and heal the pseduopet.

    With the Heal/Endurance/Build Up/Recharge procs they all have a chance to proc on you for the first target, each following target its the pseudopet.

    Go For hold and Damage procs.
  6. Earth Assault, the dominator secondary is extremely melee centric, and utterly SMASH-tastic.

    It may be what you're looking for in a dominator set to branch out from your "safe zone" of ATs
  7. I'm aware how defence works, it just works out with the build I planned that it was just as easy to cap to all as it was only positional, so thats how they all ended up so high. As for the cost of the glads, I see about 17 days worth of working towards it with Alignment merits as achievable and easy.

    And as for the to-hit stuff, after having played the i20 stuff in the open beta peaks I can safely say that for what will be the popular high end stuff for a while, there will be much more than the normal to-hit stuff going around, and thats why i'm considering sticking with a higher smash/lethal than a more rounded all positions plus typed as a bonus just incase kind of thing.

    And while not the discussion for this place, raising the base to-hit of content is the perfect remedy for the "everybody can soft-cap" approach to IOs, which both invalidate (except for DDR) Defence sets and defensive buffing sets.

  9. Demon Summoning; Pet AI

    Sometimes the second tier pets will delay responding to commands such as follow/passive

    This is especally obvious during ITF, on the second mission when destorying the crystals I stand at range, and alternate between Follow/Passive and Attack/Aggressive so pets dont get blown up.

    Initially as I move back I notice the that Ember Demon and the gargoyle are still fighting a few seconds after I recall them, while the other guys are much more responsive.

    No. You are wrong.

    My point is as now I am loosing my global name because the EU servers are being merged into the NA list, and I have an inactive NA account with the same global as I have on the EU servers.

    This will be the majority of the situation, you even agree in previous posts. Now if the NA list merged into the EU list I would not be loosing my name, so I would not be affected.

    Since there will be more EU based players with a secondary NA than the other way around, its quite an easy thing to figure out that although the Devs planned way is faster no doubt, my way would involve less clashes that would actually affect anyone.

    The majority of the posts coming from EU is "I have an inactive (or second) NA account and I would prefer my EU to have priority" with very few "I'm worried someone else has my name"
  11. Hello Everyone, Some Advice on a dilema Please;

    I have a planned build, which is quite expensive, it softcaps all typed and positional damage (except for Psionic which lingers around the 43% mark) and has pretty decent recharge. Butit does sacrifice in Acid Mortar and PGT having the recharge traps likes them to have. This build has Opressive Gloom as I do enjoy the extra mitigation, and the ultimate plan of the build was to run that at softcap. And i end up with 65%+ Resistance to smash/lethal too... bonus!

    (Entroptic Chaos is there for fun, other sets in there could be better advised i imagine)

    Now this is all well and good but the expense is a fair bit.

    Now Scorpion Shield is available to Defenders if they go villain, which mine is already in the process of doing. its quite easy to achieve over 55% Smash/Lethal and Softcapped Energy Defence when this is thrown into the mix. Allowing the build to focus on other things, like a travel power, more recharge, and possibly the medicine pool, or stealth pool.

    So which one do I go for, I'm definately aiming for the latter concept in the interim while I save up for the former in the long run... But do I do that? or do I quite happily accept that Smash/Lethal at an easy 55% is probably better than everything at a tougher 45%? Given the to-hit of the newer content?

    Any Advice?

    What hes saying is that the highest potential for clashes is players who have accounts on both sides and use the same global. There are more players based mainly in Europe who have an NA account than the other way around.

    This is probably hyperbole, since we can't possibly know without the data whether thats the case, or by pure random luck many globals are shared across the pond by different people.

    I actually think LESS people would be affected if the NA server lists merged into the EU as opposed to the other way around, if nothing but for the fact that theres gonna be some truth in this exageration, how many NA players have made an EU account to come see us using the same global?

    While how many of us EU account holders are in that position?
  13. The trouble is there are some powers that have no analogue.

    So adding flame / ice effects to certain powers would be alot of work.

    But yes, I would like to see this level of total customisation if it were ever possible for them to add, but it would be alot of work I imagine.
  14. Does invinceibility have a to-hit check.

    While it may not report in your tab, if that is hitting or missing it would mess up your streak-breaker...
  15. Since the enforcer runs a toggle with it in it should;

    1) Have a chance to Proc on you when you cast the power

    2) Have a chance to Proc once every 10 seconds per enforcer on that specific enforcer.

    Whether either of these happen would require testing.

    not if you did it on a US trial account like I did.

    While this as been my psuedonym since for about a decade its not worth paying for a US version of the game to activate that trial account, hope it has a global rename token and doing that.
  18. most of my characters tend to run on just their base slot.

    the costume becomes so inherantly them by the time they reach level 20 or 30 that I rarely want to add anything to it. The most alternative slots may get is alternate colours.

    However my namesake and my 50 stalker both tried using unlocked stuff, but that was mostly only making minor alterations to the costumes than anything.

    Also, what was wrong with the official discussion thread? There's plenty of people on both sides of the disagreement there making fair and unfair points. I don't really understand why we needed another thread for discussing the same thing.

  20. I have a US trail account that I know has the same global, it was used for exactly the length that trial accounts can be used for and nothing more, as I considered the jump over the pond.

    It would be really nice if a parsing of global names from trial accounts should happen. Or some way where those of us who own our global on both sets of servers can keep it.

    I'll also add my name to the "geographic location should not give you priority"

    And its not a good way to make 1 global community prefixing me with EU forevermore because my inactive NA account has my global.

    Also as a side note to proce how stupid a system this is now... You have given us 5 or 6 months worth of time of setting up trial accounts for ourselves on NA and stealing other peoples globals for giggles.

    Lets say I didn't like an Eu player I play with, and wanted to mess him up, its pretty easy if I know his global. Thats a massive and abusable flaw to the system. Not to mention any new players that come along and go "oh hey thats a good name i'll use it even seeing Id be stealing it"


    The EU community has been very vocal about our desire for this issue, and we've all recognised long ago this would be the underlying issue, but this is very much the easy street answer, and its very dismissive at the moment the way the concerns are being handled over this.

    20 - 30, 4 TFs, 3 of qhich are painfully similar to the others in every way. I never do Hess or Moonfire unless im desperate, and Citadel is one shot per character for me.
